It allows you to make sure people are who they say they are. Pros This is a great system. It helps you know the main facts. True some privacy is nice but the most important thing is safety. Cons It's kinda general. It allows you to search one by one so it can take a rather long time to get through a list. I called customer service and they were very helpful and friendly. They were to fix the program right away and the money went back into my account immediately. Pros I used this app to do a background check on my tenants for the property that I rent out.I found it to very helpful and I got fast results for the background checks. Cons The only con that I had was that I did one day free trial and they ended up charging me for a month instead of a free trial. Review Source GO Gregory O. Musician Entertainment Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Check Mate" February 23, 2026 1.0 Instant Checkmate is exactly that. As soon as you pay them money, they have you in Check Mate! I paid for a background check on myself and most of the information was listed 4-5 times and then the rest wasn't even mine. You can't do an accurate without a person's SSN. The report given was absolutely useless and they won't refund, so I had to dispute it with my bank! Bad business when you don't deliver the product paid for and then won't refund or make it right! Cons The service I received is different than what I originally purchased I am not satisfied with the quality of service I received I'm being charged for a service. Cons What I don't like about this software is their ability to pull up outdated or even exponged records and include them in their report s which can result in misleading information being presented. Iwould never use them again. Pros I needed to have a background check done for employment one day, about 6 months ago. And when I used this software, for one, they NEVER told me of my payment disclosure, and amount. Then, when I did finaly receive the report, it had nothing of ANY use on it. The customer service rep that I got in touch with over the phone, tolod me that it says things in the fine print. They do this to make a quick dollar, and I do not find this fair at all. Should not be relied on for a comprehensive or conclusive background check, but it can be a quick way to see if it's worth the time to run a full one. Pros Quick to use, depending on the person/background it can be an easy way to see if there might be an issue on their background. Cons It does not seem to be accurate and pulls too broad of a search into the results. If a candidate has a common name or multiple relatives, the results seem to get confused about who you are actually searching for. Pros Instant Checkmate makes it easy to find public records for a low cost if I want more information. It's nice also that I can take my information down if I wish to. Cons The site looks like it might not be a legit service, but it is. The user interface design could use some updates in order to make it look more legit. It has helped me to stay away from people that may take advantage of my business and have had trouble with the law in the past due to theft and some other crimes. Pros I've used this for conducting background checks on people I have worked with and given jobs to before. I like that it is easy to use and provides me with a peace of mind when hiring. That was my quality guarantee I need to be able to guarantee my employees quality is well. All for one. Pros I'm a residential house cleaner I also do any sorts of maintenance or request needed in the home. Using this software gave me the inside needed to be able to trust my employees the way that my customers trust me. Pros That I could find out about a guy I was dating from an online dating site. Most of the info was accurate but some was wrong. The guy and his father had similar names so some facts were mixed. I did get to see a little one f his character like he didn’t pay his taxes. Cons The inaccurate facts like last names, married name and madden name mixed up. It missed so much in regards to professional licenses and DEA license, firearm license, etc. In addition, even with an exact location and birthdate, almost half of the data was incorrect. It is a useless product unless it is free in which case it may help the general public in some cases. Complete waste of money. Pros It is easy to use, read and understand. Format is ok. Cons Misses easily found public records. Relatively inaccurate. The information was 15 years old and totally out of date Cons This is a scam company. They made my initial charge a recurring charge without my authorization and knowledge. The information they will give you is absurdly minimal and obsolete when using their services. A waste of time and money. Like other rip-off businesses, they charge you through PayPal, which is not a credit card, and will not refund your money in this type of situation. It also has different levels so you can choose what types of information you want to pay for. Customer service is very helpful! Cons On many occasions, the data was incorrect. Very helpful and comprehensive. Pros This software is easy to use and very helpful with background checks in short notice situations. We have been able to clear employees more quickly than other methods. Cons This software is slightly expensive for our use. We do not have need for it very often so cannot afford a monthly fee.
