I have absolutely loved Checkr since I started using them over five years ago. I'm immensely satisfied with their product offering!

Pros

I love how seamlessly Checkr integrates with my ATS to make hiring and onboarding a breeze. They are so dependable. I trust them to keep our candidate personal data safe. They are so thorough in their searches, and I feel like the tool is super intuitive and easy to pick up and learn. We have only needed to use customer support a few times, but each time has been a very pleasant experience; their team is speedy, respectful, and super knowledgable. Their entire background check process is so easy for our internal team to initiate and manage, and also very quick and painless for our new hires.

Cons

The only thing that I could possibly say about Checkr that counts as an area of improvement is that their international background checks can take up to two weeks or more. That has rarely happened, but it can get in the way of onboarding. This comes with the territory. Again, very, very rare.

I use Checkr for background screening of new employees. Our needs are fairly basic criminal and background clearance for employment.

Pros

The ease of use is the best part of Checkr. They provide a good overview of the background checking options so you can determine what you need. Reports are good with the results nicely summarized.

Cons

There are some features I have never tried because they charge. I would like a chance to try some of the other search options without incurring a fee, to determine usefulness.

Pros

Checkr has drastically streamlined our background check process and created efficiency across our hiring. The process went from over a week with our prior provider, to sometimes hours with Checkr. Candidates have shared a positive experience with the platform, and results come back quickly. The system integrates with our HRIS, allowing us easy access to requesting the background check directly from Recruiting. The cost is comparable to other platforms, and the customer service is quick.

Cons

Checkr has so many positive qualities - the only thing that I wish was different would be to have a dedicated account manager with a phone number or email to contact. Their customer service is through scheduled office hours or through chat. Both are useful, but sometimes it would be easier to send a quick email or call a dedicated resource.

Ease of use - the platform makes it easy to see the full list of candidates right on the home screen. Just a click to see the report.

Cons

I only utilize Checkr for background checks, so it's hard for me to speak to cons since I'm not utilizing every resource the platform offers.

One simplified solution for managing all of our pre-employment and post-accident screening needs. It works seamlessly with our existing Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to automate data entry.

Not a fully integrated solution. Must login into the 3rd party site to retrieve results and download report to upload into HRIS.

I've used Checkr as an integrated background check partner with two HCM's and as a stand-alone when one system stopped supporting the integration. I believe it's the fastest and most user-friendly system and it comes at an affordable price. Checkr ensures all documentation is handled appropriately and provides background data quickly, supporting a smooth onboarding process regardless of integration.

Pros

Checkr seamlessly integrates with our HCM system, providing a quick, easy, and efficient onboarding process.

Cons

Prior to this integration, we were using Checkr as a standalone background check system and occasionally the checks would cost more than anticipated.

Fabulous. They also have a great support system that you can ask questions, and they respond very quickly. One of my favorite systems to work with.

Pros

They are so easy to use/ user friendly, and their customer support rocks! There is no real learning curve, in my opinion. I also love the feature they have where a candidate can provide an explanation to a crime or issue on their background check.

Cons

Nothing so far! I've been using Checkr for a year now and do not regret changing from a previous provider! Also, this integrates well with Paylocity.

Checkr is a very user-friendly tool that can assist organizations in running background checks in compliance with federal, local and state laws. It can run everything from criminal background checks to educational and employment checks as well.

Pros

The system is very user friendly and is a one stop shop for all related background checks including MVR and Social Security checks.

Cons

Nothing, it offers everything necessary to run a variety of checks to be compliant with the various state regulations we have to follow.

Overall the experience has been good. The integration with Paylocity was simple. Requesting background checks outside of Paylocity's Recruitment module is very easy.

Pros

The convenience of the integration with our HRIS. The website is super easy as well. We get a bundkes package that is budget friendly and customizable.

Cons

I dont have any complaints. Checkr is great. We customized our package, and saved money. Its cost-effective and user friendly.
