I am now being charged more than double for an extremely simple background check. Customer service just told me Too Bad we can charge any extra fees we want. **Pros:** interface seemed easy and I thought I was building a custom background check bundle but apparently the charges were not what i signed up for. **Cons:** Worst customer service experience. I wanted to do a background check on a new hire.It let's you build a package or what you want done. So, I built one for $160. Then I get a bill for $414 because there is a "passthrough fee" or more than the entire package I thought I was buying- so this is costing more than double what I agreed to. " **Overall:** I have absolutely loved Checkr since I started using them over five years ago. I'm immensely satisfied with their product offering! **Pros:** I love how seamlessly Checkr integrates with my ATS to make hiring and onboarding a breeze. They are so dependable. I trust them to keep our candidate personal data safe. They are so thorough in their searches, and I feel like the tool is super intuitive and easy to pick up and learn. We have only needed to use customer support a few times, but each time has been a very pleasant experience; their team is speedy, respectful, and super knowledgable. Their entire background check process is so easy for our internal team to initiate and manage, and also very quick and painless for our new hires. **Cons:** The only thing that I could possibly say about Checkr that counts as an area of improvement is that their international background checks can take up to two weeks or more. That has rarely happened, but it can get in the way of onboarding. This comes with the territory. Again, very, very rare.
