Too bad they can't back that up with speaking with the customer directly Cons A human only calls to sell a service but don't offer the courtesy to call a customer directly when assistance is needed. The process went from over a week with our prior provider, to sometimes hours with Checkr. Candidates have shared a positive experience with the platform, and results come back quickly. The system integrates with our HRIS, allowing us easy access to requesting the background check directly from Recruiting. The cost is comparable to other platforms, and the customer service is quick. Cons Checkr has so many positive qualities - the only thing that I wish was different would be to have a dedicated account manager with a phone number or email to contact. Their customer service is through scheduled office hours or through chat. Both are useful, but sometimes it would be easier to send a quick email or call a dedicated resource. Review Source Angela W. Again, we love the integration piece - makes life easier. Pros Checkr integrates easily into Paylocity which is very nice not having to switch between platforms. It is also very easy to order a background check and to customize a background check. Cons It is not easy to understand in terms of how far the background check goes and to what depth it goes. I was having a hard time finding out if it was a 7 year look back period or farther. It looks like they have added a 10 year look back period, but it would be nice to see more detail on the report. We can start a background check right from a person's profile and a request is sent to the person who has asked to volunteer and they complete it without us having to be responsible for the safety of any of their personal information. Checkr lets us know when the background check is complete (usually within 24 hours) and we are able to print the report for our files and it automatically updates their status to approved, approved with caution, or red flags it because of a concern brought up by the background check. Cons We have been very pleased with this software. Background checks have become mostly "set it and forget it", with any flags being easy to manage in the platform. Review Source JCG Joy Cristy G. costumer experience agent Telecommunications Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Advantage and disadvantage of Checkr " March 17, 2022 5.0 Their is no problem at all, if I'm being honest, I wish that the Checkr will go directly on the candidate page like so we do not need to search them manually because sometimes, it can eat all our time and our AHT will be affected and we don't want that. However, using Checkr on check the BGC on our drivers is its very punctual and easy to use and utilize. Pros The features that is most impactful, specially to us, is the background check. Using this we are able to see their BGC result and assess what action we will take based on that. Also, we do not need to send the details of the result of their BGC because Checkr have an automated message that comes through the driver's email once their BGC result is ready or if they have an issue regarding to that. Plus, Checkr is so easy and convenient to use, whether you are first timer. We can definitely process easily with the help of this software. Cons The cons that I can see on using Checkr is that when we search the drivers manually using their name, email, or even UUID, it sometimes occupy alot of our time. It takes 2-3 minutes before its shows up. Furthermore, since we are assisting drivers and we usually need to see the candidate page and not the report page. It will be more less hassle if we click the driver's BGC from their application that route us to candidate page instead of report page. September 14, 2018 5.0 Using Checkr I was able to focus my time and energy on running my marketing business, rather than chasing down personal information and gathering forms around town from contractors for weeks. Checkr sped up my hiring process by several weeks because I was able to get background check results online within days. Pros I loved the fact that Checkr handled the whole background check process for me completely online. I saved so much time when I was hiring contractors to service the online leads I was getting. All I had to do was input some basic information about my contractors like their e-mail address, and Checkr started doing the rest for me right away. They send an e-mail to your potential contractors or employees. After clicking the link in the e-mail your contractors can fill in all of their personal information on their own time. This is great for privacy reasons too and it helps your contractors feel more at ease knowing their information is being handled through a secure system. The entire process is very quick and you don't have to worry about anything except monitoring the background check results as they come in online. Cons If I had to find a negative, I would say that the platform seemed very new and it offered very basic features, services, and a very simple design. The platform is being updated all the time though and I was able to perform a variety of different types of background checks efficiently. Review Source MM Michelle M. Beware, I have found multiple incidences where I have been charged for fictitious employees. Pros Although it is easily paired with clear care of the customer service is highly lacking. Cons I have called and emailed over the span of 3 1/2 weeks. I have spent 3 1/2 hours of labor hours trying to get information regarding my cost. This is absolutely ridiculous.!! Pros The interface isnt horrible, other than that there are many other services out there that do a better job. Cons They've given me background checks back that were wrong. However, there are just a few bugs that need to be worked out. Pros I love how quickly reports are turned around. Easy to use for both our candidates and internally. Cons I'm an admin and work in the corporate office. I need access to see all reports in the system. However, I also run background checks for all corporate employees. Because I'm an Admin, it's an either all or nothing notification on if a BG/Drug Screen is complete. I don't want to be notified of all BGs in our system (of over 5000 EEs, but need to be notified of internal BG/Drug screen completions.) I currently have to calendar a reminder to check if reports are done which is an administrative frustration. Reason for choosing Checkr Easy use, price, customizations of packages.
