Pros It is easy and fast to use to pull a background. The response comes back almost immediately too which is very much needed. Cons There is nothing I don't like about the Checkr program. They come back quickly and I like how it emails me when requests are completed or if more info is needed from a candidate. Pros Easy to use. I can log in to Checkr and check the status of all my background checks and clearly see any details that pertain to delays or "consider". Cons I wish we could run a driver's check without having to run a new background check. Some people are already clear and then later we need to add a driver's check and have to run the whole background check again and pay for something we don't really need. Review Source JL Johnny L. Pros How easy it was to navigate around the site it wasn’t a long drawn out process like other sites! Cons The lay out could have been better. Things placed in different areas than they were. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Church Secretary Religious Institutions Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Best Background Check Software" May 12, 2019 4.0 We had an outdated program to run background checks with, but it was slow, pricey, and not very reliable. It was also not integrated to any other program, so once the results were out, they could be lost and we would have to pay all over again. Checkr solves all this and more. I am so excited to be using this program now. Pros This software was instantly my preferred choice because of its ability to integrate with our Planning Center and People software. I was easily able to run a background check on someone already in my database. It’s also a lot cheaper for the type of background check you’re getting than some other companies around. I was also impressed by the security measures it provides. You are able to choose between three packages, and you can opt for the more cost efficient one. However, if the person gets a hit, it will automatically run a more detailed check. Being that we are a church which lots of children, I appreciate it this measure a lot. Cons The only thing I didn’t like was the mandatory email sent to the person getting a background check. As per our church policy, they have to fill out a form and sign consent. However, Checkr then sends a mandatory email, and it won’t perform the background check until the person in question accepts via email. This is a tad redundant for our purposes, and really slows down the process, so I do wish the email was optional. However, everything else was a easy and straight forward. Review Source CC Cortlen C. Pros Checkr is easy to use, has fast turn around and is compatible with Paylocity making it easy for hiring managers to push out the background checks themselves. Cons When someone has to go in and manually verify their social security number or information it takes too long for the turn around on these cases. Makes it less of a hassle for those having to complete one also with it being done through email instead of on paper. Pros It integrates with Planning Center & makes it easy for us to start a check & let Checkr do the rest of the work for us. Seems to be very thorough & quick turnaround time. I love that it stores everything for us so we don't have a ton of files laying around with sensitive info in them. Cons Notifications are touch & miss. Sometimes I get an email that it cleared & sometimes I don't. Seems like. the ones stating someone needs looked at closer or considered never come through.
