Far better than DOX, it’s modern, easy to use and understand and user friendly. X-rays are also so easy to take and transfer or make adjustments Pros How easy it is to make changes and to use. Pros I work with a dental company that owns five different offices! This software is awesome because it can easily be used in any of the offices and the information doesn’t have to be sent back-and-forth it is already in the software. Cons Having adjust from the original Dentrix software to the ascend version has some minor challenges and differences. Support is overall responsive and good. The intent and efforts are good, but still some programming and developing needs are not being met. But, I am confident it is coming. Pros As a DSO having all of the location with one software to view data with ease. Daily user experience is overall very good. Cons Ascend is still missing some important operational features. It is a nice software and I am impressed with how many updates you guys work on so quickly. Pros I like that we can access multiple locations since we have 4 offices. I love the claim submission part as well. Sending attachments is so easy! Cons No direct scanning and no easy A/R report that shows what a patient owes minus outstanding insurance. Cons No cons as of right now. We have been using Ascend since June and now have 6 of our locations on board. Things that have been some what of a con are things that will be implemented soon! Reports are easy to customize with a bit of practice. Cons The reports and dashboards are inaccurate and vary based on time run. For instance, the AR aging report for 12/31/2020 was run at one point for $50,000. One year later the same report reflected about $70,000. This same phenomenon happens with revenue. The reports do not align. Alternatives considered [Dentrix Enterprise](https://www.capterra.com/p/161566/Dentrix-Enterprise/) Reason for choosing Dentrix Ascend Cost was the main contributing factor.
