At first I thought that the physical buzzer was purely a fun thing/nice-to-have, but I find it to be very practical. After a short time very intuitive to use. At first glance you can see (by the different colors, that you can assign yourself) what client is being tracked, or even if something is still being tracked when you leave your computer. The User interface of the website is sleek and easy to navigate. Editing tracked events is quick as well. All in all makes project management very fast. Great value with the monthly or yearly subscription options. Wouldn't want to live without anymore :)

Pros

Very easy and intuitive to use. The add-on with the physical buzzer is great and the UI is simple with all the important features one click away!

Cons

So far I have found no cons. Maybe that it makes project management too much fun ;) but I would almost put that in the positives as well :)

There are a lot of options available, but none of them offer you the hardware that they do. It's a great product. I could time track in several other softwares that I already use, but they fall short. I think that software excels when they focus on one thing and become obsessed with being good with one thing only and TimeBuzzer is that.

Pros

One of the main reasons I use TimeBuzzer over everything else is the hardware button you can buy. Being able to push a real button to start and stop your time tracking is a game changer. I used several other trackers over the years and I cannot tell you how many times I forgot to start and stop my time from project to project. I picked this company as it was the only company that I could find that integrated hardware with software.

Cons

Interface is slightly dated, but it's not lacking in any features right now. It would be nice to track more data points, but overall it is good.

timeBuzzer is a neat and efficient application to track time and to analyze where you spend time on. It is able to split up between different companies and projects. I've also added my own company as client and have gained quite nice insight on where I spend my time on. It made my (work)life more efficient (and answered the question of all questions; where does time go..) I've played with the idea to make an application like this myself, but since timeBuzzer works this nice and is a fairly affordable for an application which pays for itself and the amout of use, I didn't bother.

Pros

Efficiency, physical button, overall look and feel. Works without hassle on the background. Good value for money.

Cons

Physical button and ie phone entries are not directly synchronized (has been explained why by timeBuzzer; makes the synchronization quite complex and error-prone)

### "Love the hardware! But I miss a well rounded report"

I really like the use of the hardware, but, for now, the software is not really hitting the spot.

Pros

The hardware is so much fun to use. Where I used to forget to change my timer to a new project, or forgot to stop it, the physical timebuzzer really helps me to track my time more correctly.

Cons

Before Timebuzzer I used the free version of Toggle and tracked my time manually. Switching to Timebuzzer, I do miss the quality of the reports and also the information on the dashboard. On the webconsole, I like to have an overview of the current week where you have a graph per day. When I hover over the graph, I get how much time I spent on each project, but it does not show the total amount of hours for that day. I could adjust the filter to only show me that specific day, but that's less intuitive. And though I like the overview of the week with the piechart of how I spent the week, I don't seem to be able to get a report with the graph on? Maybe I have to explore a little further, but if Timebuzzer does not have these features, I might look into the integration of the hardware buzzer and Toggle.

Reason for choosing timeBuzzer

Both timeflip and timeular where dice-like devices, also with an LED light. Timeflip had to many sides, I would've mixed things up with that. The thing that stood out to me with Timebuzzer was the fact that it was a button, it had a continuous LED light whilst tracking and it had very easy handling (press button: interface opens, select project, start project, interface closes). Especially the visual cue of the continuous LED was fundamental for me.

### "An honest time tracking tool"

We used a module in our accounting system previously, which was not obvious to use for our employees. Timebuzzer makes it easy to track time and export the reports for invoicing. The system now triggers you to track your time and it's easy to do, especially when you have the Buzzers on your desk. Our old system required reworking excel sheets, making different tabs per project manually before we were able to invoice. Now, with one press on a button we get a PDF, per project and even per activity and we can simply make the invoice. And... we never get questions on our invoices because it's very clear. For fixed priced projects we can now review our performance and learn from it to better quote the next projects. Timebuzzer saves time, energy and costs and more and honest billable hours.

Pros

It's visible, it notifies you to track your time on an honest way. Invoicing is therefore also very clear for the clients. No questions are asked since the reporting gives you the start and end time of the activity done. Also the recognition of not being active and if you agree closing the timer as of inactivity makes it very honest.

Cons

It would be great to have the option to also have the option to have an administrator function without using a paid member. Our administrator does not need to track her time since she is not billable. Also it would be great to get a feature if hours are billable hours or not on an activity. Sometimes hours are not billable off course.

Time tracking is not something I enjoy or want to do naturally. timeBuzzer has made the entry into time tracking a little bit smoother and more enjoyable than other tools!

Pros

The physical button is a constant reminder to keep on top of time tracking. Additionally, the time tracking interface is easy to navigate and works well with the button

Cons

Setting up the projects, tasks and subtasks is not as straightforward as it could be. Instead of having to switch between the three levels, it would be good to have a dependency tree that you can edit with live changes to the links

The hardware button is a genius, it's really convenient. You don't forget to record the time. The sofware is very intuitive and easy to use, very convenient insights and notifications. The app is also very useful when you are out on surveys and don't have the ability to record via your PC.

Pros

Simplicity and immediacy in monitoring. Very simple application, with few menus, very easy to use. Essential.

Cons

I think the annual subscribtion fee is a little bit high. You can usually find similar applications on the internet at cheaper prices. I have to say, though, that this one beats them all.

Die mit Abstand schlechteste Software auf meinem Laptop. Leider von meinem Arbeitgeber eingeführt. Ich würde sofort wieder zu Excel wechseln, bis wir etwas wirklich besseres gefunden haben.

Pros

Nichts. Es gibt Zeiterfassungstools wie Sand am Meer. Ich kann nicht erkennen was TimeBuzzer anderen voraus hätte. Die Lösung für die Schwächen von verfügbarer Zeiterfassungssoftware, wegen denen ständig jemand meint, eine bessere Lösung rausbringen zu müssen, ist es jedenfalls nicht.

Cons

Völlig verbugt. Sehr oft funktioniert die Desktop App nicht. Auch Neustart hilft nicht. Meistens bin ich dann auf die Web App ausgewichen. Aber da kommt es vor, dass ich weder auf meinen Namen filtern noch meinen Namen als Spalte anzeigen kann. So verliere ich völlig den Überblick. Die Usability für Datums- und Zeiteingabe bei neu erfasster Zeit hat auch viel Luft nach oben. Wenn ich z.B. auf einen Tag gefiltert habe, könnte das auch das vorgeschlagene Datum sein. Es passiert leicht, Zeit zum falschen Termin einzugeben. Es gibt auch keinen Knopf "letzte Eingaben wiedervorlegen", um neue Tasks, die nicht erscheinen, richtig einzusortieren. Man muss selber erraten, welchen falschen Tag man eingegeben haben könnte, um die Eingabe zu suchen.

The Features and functionalities speak for them self, what really amazed me was the quick support. After opening a ticket, I had received a kind and friendly response with a solution approach within 26 Minutes. That is exactly how we like to work towards our customers and is nice to have a same support from our service providers.

The Mobile App could have a bit more functions, more like the Windows or Mac Client.

Very good. Nice UX, nice quality hardware, super support.

Pros

I use the hardware and the software. I have to work for several costumers during the day and often some of them just switch in. So now its easy to track all the little moments I spend for each costumer. With the matching colored light on the buzzer I can check, if I track and for whom. Its easy to analyze the time at the end of the day. The Support is very quick and friendly, if you have a question or problem!

Cons

Easier way to analyze with one click the tasks in the project, but maybe I still just have to dive a bit deeper in the softway.

Es bietet eine schnelle Zeiterfassung auch von kleinen täglichen Todos, die eine einfache Abrechnung mit den Kunden ermöglichen. Man bekommt eine gute Übersicht über den täglichen Zeiteinsatz. Der Buzzer selber ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet!

Cons

Manche Einstellungen sind nicht so ganz speicherbar, wie Abrechnungs- und Auswertungszeiträume. Diese müssen dann immer manuell neu eingegeben werden.

I thought I knew how much time i spend on my various projects. How wrong I was. timeBuzzer helped me to find out how much time i really invest into my projects and can therefore plan and monitor much better! Would recommend to just try it out and see for oneself.

nothing -design is cool! Once you know how to work with the programm its really easy and not as time consuming than you think

Das Produkt hilft mir sehr, meine Arbeitszeit präzise zu erfassen und einzelnen Kunden und Projekten zuzuordnen. Besonders der physische Button ist dabei sehr hilfreich. Er reagiert schnell sobald man danach greift und öffnet die Software. Das ganze funktioniert reibungslos und ohne dabei störend den Arbeitsfluss zu unterbrechen.

Das Produkt ist sehr intuitiv zu bedienen und ermöglicht eine einfache Zeiterfassung ohne Hürden. Besonders in Kombination mit dem Hardware-Button ermöglicht die Software eine präzise und unkomplizierte Zeiterfassung verschiedener Projekte und Kunden. Auch die einfache Kategorisierungsmöglichkeit hilft dabei den Überblick zu behalten.

Die Zeiterfassung erfolgt lokal auf dem Gerät, daher ist leider ein Starten und Stoppen der Zeiterfassung auf unterschiedlichen Geräten nicht möglich. Z.B. ist es nicht möglich unterwegs die Zeiterfassung per Smartphone zu starten und im Büro am Schreibtisch zu stoppen. Dadurch können doppelte Erfassungen auftreten.

### "Simple, Reliable and Insightful Time Tracking"

Once everything was set up, TimeBuzzer quickly became an invaluable tool for tracking my work. It’s helped me see how much time tasks actually take versus how much I THINK they do.

Pros

Timebuzzer, both the Buzzer and the software, have integrated seamlessly with my workflow. Tracking time for me has become effortless, accurate and somewhat enjoyable (who doesn't like to smack a button). After mapping out my various projects and tasks, it allows me to see where my day goes.

Cons

The only major con that I have, which I know is being worked on according to the developers, is the ability to permanently delete entries. I wish I would have known that before testing some things out.

Use it every day, hardware buzzer is always on, love to get an overview of my times and show my team in our weeklies :)

Pros

It does what it's supposed to do. :) The hardware button works very well and makes switching projects seamless. I also like the dashboard. It provides ways to dig through your tracked times per client, project and note (last of which allowing for custom categories) – without cluttering the dashboard with too many features/possibilities.

Cons

A team currently has have to have pro licenses for each user in the team in order for ANY user to use pro features. Example: a -> pro user b -> not pro user -> a will not be able to use any pro features. One small thing: when the hand is leaving the buzzer to type in a Note for the entry, the buzzer detects that and minimizes the window. But this can be prevented by typing the first character (which leaves the window open).

You can actually customize this behavior in the desktop app settings. :) If you usually add notes right after starting a timer and want to prevent the app from closing automatically, just turn off “Minimize after timer start.” Regarding team licenses — since team features work across all users, every active member needs one. This ensures fair pricing for both small and large teams. If you don’t need the team features, you can simply create separate accounts and handle them individually. Ich suchte ein Tool wo ich schnell pro Kunde meine Zeiten erfassen konnte. Somit bin ich auf TimeBuzzer gestoßen.

Pros

Die Einfachheit wie das Tool zu bedienen ist. Einfach genial

Cons

Der Kauf! dieser hat bei mir Probleme bereit weil ich 2mal den Kauf nicht abschließen konnte. Aber der Service konnte mir hier gleich weiterhelfen.

Great; would definately recommend. I've tested multiple "logging" apps and this one exceeds in ease of use.

Pros

Great to keep track of your time spent on jobs, perfect to make sure you don't forget to log your time.

Cons

Sometimes, when you are filling in specifics, the app (already) minimizes. This means you have to manually re-open the app to fill in the rest.

Easy to use, and great that the software is auto starting and pauses if the computer is idle. No more need to make a list of things in Excel that you forget to fill in at the end of the day.

Pros

Easy to track your time, so you know what you did at the end of the day! Nice to alter your trackt time at the end of the day

Cons

The setup of all the customers is a bit a thing maybe its nice to have an API so you can intergrade it with other software so you dont need to do it by hand.
