There are a few customizable presets that are available as well when setting up a new student's profile. Cons ReThink's achilles' heal is the limited alterations of inaccurate data collection after the DOS. Contacted support is also less direct as it takes several times to get through by phone and it's less seamless than an active chat feature would be. Easy process to create accounts for RBT Training. Pros Being able to order the essential 40 hour RBT training for new hires needing the basic 40 hour RBT training. Cons I don't use it on a daily basis, so I don't feel qualified to respond. There is nothing I can elaborate about. Sometimes the application works and sometimes it does not. Pros It’s efficient. Recording data on a iPad is easier than carrying around papers. I also like being able to see my complete schedule. Cons I dislike how if a mistake is made during data collection it doesn’t show the trial by trials. With this new update it does not allow syncing for skills/behaviors unless the minimum trials were inputted, despite if skill was not practiced or behavior didn’t occur. They are quick and do whatever they can to help you solve your problem. The patient management and staff management is also pretty simple to maintain and teach others. Cons Creating reports is difficult. Even with training, it isn't an easy task and almost always requires their support people to step in and complete it for you. Certain tasks are extremely simple but also EXTREMELY time consumong. For example, you have to enter each staff members credentials, groups, etc one at a time which can take 30 mins wheb setting up a new staff member in the system. Pros Rethink is one of the better platforms that allow for user friendly access for staff members to identify their billable and non-billable services. The access to utilizing progress note features with check boxes assists in maximizing direct time with clients to ensure increases in ethical billing practices. Cons Ongoing need for technical support, the system will go down without saving drafts of progress notes or allow for a user to audit already completed notes. It appears the system at times will overload if being used at similar times to other providers within the network slowing down other services. Review Source Justin D. CEO Mental Health Care Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "DO NOT BOTHER" March 26, 2026 1.0 Here is a cautionary tale... Rethink has a decent fleshed out system to do what many of us need to. The program itself was not our issue. They engage in predatory contractual behavior. We had a 1 year contract which auto renewed on Dec 1. We initiated mutual discussions on October 17th regarding reducing our package and number of providers. There was never any follow-up on ReThink's end. We followed up multiple times and there would be a response to our follow ups but nothing further as we honed in on a mutually agreed direction. All correspondence was left ambiguous. We yet again reached out in December to check the status or what we needed to do and were told the contract auto-renewed and changes needed to be completed prior to December 1st. We were active in this processes and followed up prior to December first, they declined to engage in healthy business practices as we were willing to stay on at a more limited scope and would likely use them more broadly in the future. Instead the answer continued to be "it auto renewed, nothing we can do" and continuing to charge $2600/mo. We are now disputing their charges through legal routes. This is not some rant from an unhappy customer. We stuck to the contract, paid in full for the year, engaged in good faith discussions about restructuring prior to the auto renewal date, and were willing to stay on with the restructure. It is now clear their ambiguous correspondence and lack of any actual follow up then immediately leaning on this auto renew date was likely intentional so it would renew at the same high rate. This is predatory corporate behavior, and they just lost a customer they likely would have had at even higher rates for many years. Beware of this if you use them. Again, program itself was not the issue here. It is the predatory business practices. Pros some useful software features. Does what it needs to do in terms of basic data collection and charting. Cons Predatory business corporations. Auto renewal even when trying to adjust program needs and company needs prior to deadline. Awful customer service. Review Source AS Amanda S. If the things in my cons box was resolved it would make my overall experience so much better. Pros How easy data collection is, seeing graphs online, adding behaviors end of day online is quick, and seeing the mastery programs pop up when on the website. Cons I think the scheduling aspect is a little annoying where we can’t change the time of the client left early, the amount of session notes when in center, having to fill out our name and title everytime for each note and not being able to refresh without logging out. As we grew and started to provide different services and different service lines, it did not work. Even worse, when we went to leave Rethink, they stopped responding. The customer service is deplorable. Pros Rethink is not complicated to learn and create programmings for ABA clients. It is user friendly with programming and data review. Cons The customer service is non-existent. I constantly reach out and send follow ups to emails and do not get any resolution. Rethink could not work for our practice as we added different lines or service and we were led to believe it would. It caused incredible hardship for our practice. If they were responsive to requests or questions outside of wanting to cancel maybe. But with the lack of disclosure and the no response even when it was something such as pricing out how to add billing I’d say no for the cost. Pros While it is nice to have templates to edit and have a lay out for. The resources and RBT training are nice to have. Cons I have to enter environmental stimuli individually for every graph, sometimes I had trouble getting things to actually master and be removed, even though they talk about sales tax in the contract they don’t collect and didn’t disclose that to me when I signed the contract so now I’m stuck in a contract with a product I have to track the tax for and file separately with my state which I wouldn’t have done had I know. It’s difficult to reach anyone. I sent 5 requests for information and no one got back to me until I requested information on how to cancel. Renews as a yearly contract without resigning, warning, or contact. Also any changes start a new contract and extends the year date. Reason for choosing RethinkBH I had used it as a BT for training only and was interested in the webinars that were included Review Source HG Hector G. To be honest at the very start of Rethink it was very hard to get familiar with it. BUT TAKE into consideration sometimes rethink does not work for a few hours. It starts having trouble loading the webpage or the app. Sometimes they let you know they have an scheduled maintenance, but sometimes this happens without notice. Sometimes this happens with a few staff members or with the whole company. Pros Data collection and how visually appealing the app and the website are. Very user friendly. Visual analysis to explain to parents and take into consideration clinical decision making data driven it's amazing. Cons adding phase changes is somehow limited . The options provided by Rethink are very general and even though we have an option for other sometimes the space given is not enough to write down the full phase change. Which sometimes is necessary when writing reports, take into consideration factors, or if the case is being transferred or shared to another BCBA/ program manager. Review Source EH Emma H. At our institution, we have ipads, which makes it a little more difficult than the laptops. However, this hasn’t ruined my experience by any means. Pros I appreciate that it makes data collection and session notes very simple and self-explanatory for all staff. It seems like a very secure website, which helps us have to be less cautious in using it. We certainly wouldn’t want a website that doesn’t feel safe. I like that we can see other staff’s calendars, when appropriate, as we can help to enter their schedules. I like that it’s easy to create recurring events/sessions so we don’t need a new one every time. I also appreciate the ease of travel notes, as well as cancelling sessions. Lastly, the color coordination of billing codes and verification makes it easy to see if you have the wrong thing and/or still need to verify. Cons The random glitches it sometimes has makes it tricky to complete session notes efficiently and in a timely manner. Review Source MD Mollie D. I have been told my my company that I’m supposed to be syncing often, but whenever I do I lose all my data. Pros I like the fact that you are able to customize how many programs and which trials you want to do. I like the overall layout. It’s very easy to use during ABA sessions, especially with my supervisors. Pros What I like the most about RethinkBH is how easy it is to navigate. At an RBT, I find reviewing and taking data for patient management to be efficient. While I am not personally paying for it, I think my company is getting their money’s worth. Cons What I like the least about RethinkBH are the technical issues that have occurred. I encountered one instance of the data from a session deleting itself.
