### "Great experience with Subsplash use for two different outreach ministries"

August 12, 2026

5.0

I manage the Subsplash platforms and apps for two different ministries, and both have had excellent service and support.

Pros

Media Library makes it so easy for our connections to access all resources in one simple app or in the embedded app library on the website. Giving records are much easier to manage. Communications with donors are a breeze with the email and newsletter functions - everything in one place instead of multiple locations for many tasks.

Cons

Except for the giving module (which is great), reporting/analytics are awkward, and the modules need to cross-communicate in a more user-friendly experience (UX could be improved). An accessible API to produce task automation connected to the user base would be incredible; this is only available with the higher-end packages.

### "My Subsplash Review"

June 23, 2026

4.0

I love \[sensitive content hidden\] , and my onboarding specialist, \[sensitive content hidden\], They have been VERY helpful. We have been pleased with being able to connect with our members through the texting part of the app. We are still "growing", but overall, I am happy with Subsplash. Would have given 5 stars, but the support still lacks in my opinion.

Pros

I like the fact that Subsplash gives us an actual church app. It's really not that difficult to use the Subsplash platform. Yes, there is a learning curve, but that is with all things. We were able to go from three different church management platforms to one, and the value was about the same. So cost wise, you get a great value with Subsplash.

Cons

Their AI tech support still needs work, and it's not really that easy to get to a live person. I don't like having to make an appointment and wait to get an issue resolved. All giving platforms promise increased giving, I don't really see where giving has increased.

### "Good for Smaller Churches"

May 16, 2024

3.0

My overall experience with Subsplash was mediocre. There is much that frustrated me as features would crash or I could not customize to my satisfaction. The customer service is incredibly difficult to reach, which has also caused major issues. The host media very well, and provide great features for categorizing what we store on their platform.

Pros

If what you want is an inexpensive web platform that allows you to host and stream media, as well as build aesthetically pleasing websites and apps, Subsplash is a great option. It is easy to stream and categorize media, and the push notification feature is easy to use.

Cons

Customization is a major struggle for Subsplash. Their integrations with third-party software lack the features necessary to make them worthwhile, and the user/designer seems to be limited to features that the platform has built itself.

### "Very satisfied, highly recommended."

June 3, 2026

5.0

Overwhelmingly positive. We had tried implementing a competing platform (which wound up being a constant source of frustration) for about a year prior to moving to Subsplash and the transition was like night and day. We're a small church (around 250) and so we don't use all the included features (regular check-ins for kids classes, etc.), but we've been utilizing media (no livestream at this time), apps, chat groups, the giving platform, and are moving toward using more of the church management tools as well. The majority of our congregation is using the mobile app regularly and we've gotten a lot of positive feedback. The few complaints/issues that have come up have been handled efficiently by the Subsplash support team. From my position, I don't know the specifics of what our church has budgeted for Subsplash, but I've not heard a single complaint from our leadership either; everyone seems to think the platform is well worth it.

Pros

Subsplash has been easy to jump into and get started with. I'm on the media and app management side of things, and I appreciate the ease with which I can upload and organize media within the mobile/TV/web apps. I've also had to address a couple bugs and other tech support issues, and the Subsplash support team knows their stuff and has been extremely helpful.

Cons

Right now there's not much I can think of to put here. There are a few features I'd like to see implemented in chat groups and elsewhere (the ability to post videos and photo albums in groups, for example), but I know they're working on a long list of feature requests.

Alternatives considered

[Planning Center](https://www.capterra.com/p/76708/Planning-Center/)

Reason for choosing Subsplash

More of the specific tools we needed, plus (from my end) a media hosting solution that didn't involve relying on YouTube or other third-party media platform.

Switched from

[FellowshipOne](https://www.capterra.com/p/230779/Fellowship-One/)

The specific product isn't available in that list; we switched from Amplify by Ministry Brands. Amplify promised an all-in-one church and media management solution for mobile and web platforms. They simply did not follow through on promises that were made regarding the nature and readiness of the advertised features, and many features were very poorly designed and executed.

### "Great Company for your church"

August 6, 2026

5.0

Great experience with everything on Subsplash, so glad we switched to this company. They have been very helpful with set up and help when you get stuck updating a page

Pros

The learning available online. There are so many classes you can take that help with setup and understanding the different pages and how to make them stand out.

Cons

Nothing so far, everything has been easy to learn or understand. And with the AI help asking questions has been helpful

Their support teams are helpful for a church that has limited tech support. Very user friendly grows with you. We are a small house church network.

Pros

There is so much i love about subsplash, church management, website, easy to learn, website and giving all in one place not multiple software needs.

Cons

Whenever we've needed them, they always been quick, knowledgeable, helpful and go above and beyond our expectations.

Pros

The person who assisted me was very knowledgeable while helping me, a non-technical person understand the issue with our website. He was responsive and quickly solved the security issues with our website.

Cons

I don't have any cons that I can think of. Subsplash provides great service and I would highly recommend them to other churches.

### "A Powerful All-in-One Platform for Church Ministry"

June 25, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience has been excellent. I use Subsplash every day to help manage our church's digital presence, and it has streamlined many of our administrative tasks. From updating our website and app to creating forms, publishing content, and communicating with our congregation, Subsplash has become an essential part of our ministry. I would confidently recommend it to churches looking for a comprehensive church management and engagement platform.

Pros

Subsplash has become our all-in-one platform for our church communication and management. We use it for our website, mobile app, online giving, sermon uploads, event registrations, forms, push notifications and more. Having everything in one place saves our staff a tremendous about of time and it create a consistent experience for out church family. the platform is reliable, professional, and continues to add helpful features.

Cons

The learning curve can be a little steep for new users because there are so many tools available. some features aren't always intuitive at first, and i found myself relying on tutorials while learning the system. Once I became familiar with it though, it became much easier to navigate.

### "Great product to use if your church is looking for this kind of program"

July 20, 2026

5.0

AWESOME..... One of the best websites available for what you need. Give it a try and you will not leave it for anything else.

Pros

I just learned how to use Subsplash for our church. I was very impressed for how easy it was to learn and move thru the process. I am glad that I had a chance to use Subsplash. You can trust the security that you receive when you put information on there. I think it was one of best investments our church made.

Cons

I can't really think of a con at this time. I have had great success with Subsplash and when you need assistance, someone is always available.

### "Happy with SubSplash"

April 17, 2026

5.0

Overall it has been great. Customer service is often an issue with me and others I see on the forums. It tends to be slow.

Pros

The integration of the app and the website. Being able to drop something into one place and have it populate elsewhere is wonderful.

Cons

The separation of People in the Dashboard and People in Management. It's really poor design, not just poor execution.

### "Is Subsplash worth the trouble?"

September 19, 2019

4.0

Often times I was already faced with a daunting task like... upload previous podcasts to a podcast tab on the app. We had dozens and dozens of them to upload. Then we had graphics to go along with those podcasts as well as descriptions. It was a lot of work to begin with. Getting the run-around with navigating through the app was the last thing we needed. One major issue I noticed was when submitting or saving your work, the interface wouldn't just naturally take you to the next step...I would have to often circle back to the home page, click on a particular button then another then another to get to the next step. We're having to wait for 3 or 4 pages to load to get to a page that should have been the next natural step for what we were doing. Making the job take that much longer. Overall, after many many months of working with Subsplash I figured out how some things work and even though it was always longer than it needed to be, it was the best I had so I just made it work. I still have no other persons familiar enough with the app's dashboard to do what I do. I feel stuck doing it. If it was simple, I know I would have many other teams that could step up to manage this. But the difficulty level just made it too daunting. It was ok to get started...but we're currently getting rid of Subsplash and moving to another app platform. I'm hoping it'll be a much easier app to manage.

Pros

What I liked most about this software was the fact that it was my first experience customizing an app. My initial thoughts was the excitement of our church having an app that everybody could use. Instead of always updating social media pages or websites...it would be even more readily accessible to them by simply being an app on their phone or tablet. I thought subsplash was as good as it gets simply because it was all I knew. It had little bugs and looked clean.

Cons

It was very difficult to figure out how to manage. I spent hours and hours trying to get familiar with the user-interface (the backend of subsplash) Some things were simple...but there were many other portions of the app that was very complicated. A massive part of my job is replicating what I do into other people. Subsplash was so difficult to grasp that I had little confidence I could get anybody else to figure out how to manage the app for their particular department. There was only 1 other person at our church that worked on the back end of Subsplash. He did just about everything for the church and then I managed my particular department. Every single time I wanted to try something new, or when I wanted to change something, it was hunting down YouTube tutorials or guess-work on how to get something done.

### "Easy to Use but Pricey Fees"

November 3, 2022

5.0

From an easy to implement online giving solution, this is probably the easiest and geared toward churches, however due to the fees, we are investigating other options that integrate well with our CMS package.

Pros

Subsplash is very easy to implement and train the users on basic operations, whether for one-time giving or recurring. Integrating the links into the webpage and apps was simpler than other options.

Cons

The transaction fees are still higher than competitors even with their GrowCurve option. We have yet to see a decrease in our fees after years of use.

Reason for choosing Subsplash

Previous experience and ease of set up and use.

### "Great value and simple to use"

November 17, 2019

4.0

Overall though I would recommend Subsplash. What you receive for the cost makes the purchase worth it. It is simple to navigate and well designed. Subsplash giving also makes it simple for people to give one time or set up recurring giving.

Pros

Subsplash is an easy to use app company that specializes in churches. Subspash provides the framework so all you need to do is add the content and pictures. If you do not have the staff or ability to build your own app, this is a worthwhile solution. The greatest aspect of this app is how easy it is to access sermons. It allows you to watch the sermon on video, listen to the audio (even with a black screen while you exercise) and even download notes or a take home page all within the same location.

Cons

The one aspect of the app that is least desirable is the calendar feature. It only provides a daily calendar and does not give you the option to view weekly or monthly. Obviously, it makes scrolling down a month or two in advance difficult. We also have a glitch in our app that has not been able to be fixed by Subsplash. When you open up our calendar in the app, it shows an old date as the first event. After multiple contacts with Subsplash they were not able to figure out why the date won't erase which is disappointing.

### "A look at SubSplash"

July 6, 2023

5.0

Our overall experience with SubSplash is good.

Pros

We appreciate the ease of use, not only with administration, but with donors. We also felt it was a good value as far as pricing.

Cons

We have a couple of donors that when we transfer they are not linking to our Breeze software. I am looking into this. It seems to be a syncing issue.

Reason for choosing Subsplash

Again, they made a good decision but I was not part of the decision process at that time.

### "Clean app without hiring a developer"

January 18, 2019

5.0

Pros

I really like that with Subsplash I can make the app truly my own by designing all of my images to stay within my brand. The interface is clean and once a user is past the initial learning stages, weekly updates and repeat tasks become a breeze. Customer service is quick to respond and help as they can.

Cons

I signed up with Subsplash a couple years ago, and since then they have added new features. unfortunately, I am unable to take advantage of these features as the pricing structure has changed and I can't justify paying the higher prices. When I initially signed up I thought the price was a little high, but felt that an app was needed and knew that paying a developer is very expensive. But I had hoped some of the features they said were upcoming would still be included in my top-tier package. Now my package is not top tier, and I can't spend the money for other features. I still like my app and plan to stick with Subsplash!

### "Subsplash as a Giving Platform"

September 30, 2020

5.0

Our communications department really wanted to use Subsplash for the quality of their app and ability to upload sermons in a quality way. I needed a reasonable giving platform. Subsplash has been a really good move for us.

Pros

The process for switching to Subsplash as our giving platform was made as easy as possible by the support team. The platform is quite intuitive to navigate and has integrated well with Planning Center Giving overall. Our communications team has been thrilled with the ease of building and modifying our church app and the functionality the Subsplash app has provided.

Cons

The giving aspect of Subsplash is still being perfected and is not always glitch-free. When users try to modify an existing recurring gift on the day the gift is scheduled, we have had a number of instances of both the old and new gift occurring on that day. The good news is that refunding a gift couldn't be any easier and the customer service responsiveness has been amazing when we've needed them.

### "Wonders of Subsplash"

July 26, 2021

5.0

I have enjoyed using Subsplash.

Pros

Once you are emailed the link, it is easy to set up to have your giving go directly to the organization(s) of your choice. I love the recurring payment option and the drop down for multiple categories for giving. I love receiving notifications of my anticipated giving so that I can make sure the funds have been properly deposited before withdrawal. Our organization set up the messaging system which has been wonderful to receive timely messages as soon as information is available.

Cons

I would like the header bar to be horizontal versus vertical - like reading a book left to right.

### "A Solid App for your Church"

January 18, 2019

5.0

The folks at Subsplash/The Church App have been great to work with. They are easy to get in touch with, and do a great job guiding you through the process of building your app, and troubleshooting along the way. Additionally there are regular feature updates and additions that tell you they are a company interesting in progress and maximizing the potential of their product.

Pros

The ease of use makes this app a no brained. The dashboard feature is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate. It makes uploading your graphics, entering content, and arranging your app a snap!

Cons

There aren’t really any cons that stick out to me. But one thing I would love to see happen is the inclusion of iPad access with the basic package.

### "A simple solution to process online donations..."

January 6, 2022

It has been a totally positive experience, from the first day until now. It is the best answer for a church or other organization to process online donations.

Pros

Cons

### "Subsplash Thoughts"

January 18, 2019

5.0

Subsplash has been excellent to deal with. Their customer support is good. I don't always like having to schedule an appointment to call for support, but, that's the world we live in. Subspaslh has been able to roll with changes put on them by Apple, etc. and has been able to convey those changes to the client well.

Pros

Excellent design and functionality. Easy for the user to navigate. Easy for the client to customize (within various templates).

Cons

It is rather expensive, but you get value from the app, in terms of users and usage. The dashboard can occasionally stop saving, but a refresh will clear that up.

### "Our church uses this for the website and app and it is quite nice!"

October 8, 2019

5.0

Very positive. As mentioned earlier, being able to listen to older sermons, give through the app or website, etc., it is extremely simple to use.

Pros

The app and website are extremely clean looking and I notice that this is the consistent with other churches that use subsplash for website and app creation. Being able to watch and listen to previous sermons is also a plus. The option to give through the app or website is great too.

Cons

Nothing really. When I purchased a Galaxy Note 10+, the play store said that the subsplash app was not compatible with my device. I contact subsplash and they updated the app to support the most current operating systems for smartphones.

### "Subsplash Review"

June 1, 2021

4.0

Pros

Subsplash helped us create a beautiful website and app very easily. Our church loves it and uses both frequently.

Cons

The giving on the app is a huge disappointment. Our goal was for the app to have zero links to outside websites, which was a lofty goal. Giving was a huge part of our decision to go with Subsplash, and that included our decision to go with an app. However, you cannot give within the app. You are taken to a web page and you have to log in each time.

### "Easy to Use"

January 22, 2019

The Subsplash team is awesome. They are so helpful every time we reach out to them and they are always improving on the software adding more features and making it better. The best part is that you can tell it is a ministry for them as well. They are Kingdom minded and have even prayed with me over the phone for our ministry!

Pros

What I like most about the Subsplash software is that it is so easy to use and integrates the video into our existing website. I don't have any training in web design, but I was able to create an app for our ministry that is functional and people use it everyday.

Cons

I don't see any cons to this software. We have found that it meets all our needs.
