### "Total Visibility and Control with baramundi Management Suite"

Pros

One of the things that really impressed me about baramundi Management Suite was how it gave me total visibility over all my endpoints. I loved being able to do a quick health check and get a snapshot of how everything was performing. It was super easy to use and really helped me stay on top of things. I felt like I had everything under control, and that was a huge relief. Managed software is the best feature to allow me to save time with updates of applications.

Cons

One thing that I found a bit challenging was the variety of license types available. While I understand that different licenses cater to different needs, I felt that the options were a bit overwhelming at times. It took some time to navigate and understand the differences between them, and I'm not sure if we ended up with the most optimal licensing configuration.

Pros

It's quite easy to host. It's just a simple EXE that can be run at launch. The navigation was also surprisingly easy to get used to.

Cons

Our use-case wasn't the best, mainly because Baramundi wants everything on an internal netwerk which isn't possible when people work from home. This means that it's perfect for old-school Windows environments where everything is connected to a local AD.

Baramundi manage to reduce my workload by reducing the repetitive tasks. The report function also provide visibility on the state of all the clients.

Pros

Simplified IT administrator daily tasks by automation such as OS, software and drivers update /patching. Provide visibility on the IT hardware asset, software inventory as well as the OS patching level with WSUS integration.

Cons

It's not agentless, So, it's crucial to make sure all the IT endpoints installed with the Baramundi agent and it's working fine on the endpoints.

Baramundi is on-prem, where a lot of similar products are cloud services. Baramundi's approach to managed software as a whole is unique and makes maintaining software updates easy. Baramundi automation studio is particularly useful and a powerful tool. The ability to perform in-place upgrades and customized operating system deployments is pretty unique. The baramundi kiosk, where jobs can be published for users to request on-demand is another great feature. Direct integration with Active Directory is a great plus.

Pros

The managed software. It keeps our commonly used applications up to date, and we've even discovered some applications by browsing the managed software list.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to deploy scripts to endpoints through Baramundi without having to set up a "software" and "job" first.

mange linux device whit new relase. I'm starting to use and it is very usefull. I'm triyng to understand how use automating script on this for linux device

My overall experience is really great. The product is stable, well thought out. Generally help me a lot with automation and get visibility of our whole computer "ecosystem".

Pros

Real time status of running jobs. Stable releases. Baramundi Automation Studio with unlimited possibilities.

Cons

Lack of simple asset management module. Some problems with agent update. In Managed Software I would like to have complex jobs to install software with all dependings software.

Whether it's delivering Remote Desktop support via our Service Desk or deploying Windows 11 in-place upgrades to our Windows 10 workstations, Baramundi has proven invaluable in supporting our day-to-day operations.

Easy deployment of our Internal Software throughout or Production Line.

Cons

A bit tricky on creating a script especially for non-programming experience. Also, having issues whenever our IT does their maintenance and after that our Baramundi takes time to start. Like restart and shutting off the server for many time until it is fully functional.

Ich kann nur positives sagen, Ob lokale Rechner oder Remotegeräte ich kann alle Geräte erreichen. Und das Team bringt ständig neue starke Funktionen. Ich kann allen nur Empfehlen mal zu den Baramundi Events zu gehen uns sich das anzuschauen und auch direkt mit den Verantwortlichen zu Sprechen das ist einfach großartig. Eine Große Familie!!

Pros

Baramundi erleichtert einem den Alltag in der IT Ungemein und schafft Zeit und Freiraum für andere Wichtige Dinge. Rechnerinstallation läuft fast komplett alleine und der Rechner ist nachher so installiert wie wir es brauchen. Patche verteilen oder auch Einstellungen Unternehmensweit ausrollen sind sehr einfach und schnell zu machen UND man sieht auch ob es erfolgreich war und eo man noch nacharbeiten muß.

Cons

Das Assetmanagement ist leider ein bisschen zu kurz gekommen und das Ticketsystem was aber ein Drittprodukt ist, finde ich nicht so toll.

Hier sind einige spezifische Funktionen und Erfahrungen, die besonders erwähnenswert sind: Eine der Funktionen, die ich am meisten schätze, ist die vielseitige Geräteverwaltung. Mit Baramundi können wir alle Endgeräte in unserem Netzwerk zentral überwachen und steuern. Ein konkretes Beispiel: Bei einem kürzlich durchgeführten Software-Rollout auf über 650 Geräten verlief die Verteilung reibungslos und ohne Unterbrechungen im Betriebsablauf. Diese zentrale Verwaltung spart uns nicht nur Zeit, sondern auch Ressourcen. Die automatisierte Softwareverteilung ist ein weiterer großer Pluspunkt. Früher war das manuelle Installieren und Aktualisieren von Software auf jedem einzelnen Gerät sehr zeitaufwendig. Jetzt können wir mit Baramundi Software-Pakete erstellen und sie automatisiert an alle relevanten Geräte verteilen. Die Benutzeroberfläche von Baramundi ist sehr intuitiv und benutzerfreundlich gestaltet. Auch neue Mitarbeiter finden sich schnell zurecht. Dies erleichtert die Einarbeitung und reduziert die Fehlerquote erheblich. Kollegen die neu in unser Team gekommen sind, konnten bereits nach kurzer Einarbeitung selbstständig Aufgaben übernehmen und waren beeindruckt von der Klarheit und Struktur der Oberfläche.

Cons

Trotz all der positiven Aspekte gibt es auch Raum für Verbesserungen. Die Integration mit einigen Drittanbieter-Tools könnte noch nahtloser sein. Zudem ist das Inventarisierungsmodul stark ausbaufähig. Auch mehr detailliertere Reporting-Funktionen wären wünschenswert, um noch genauere Einblicke in die Systemperformance und Softwareverteilung zu erhalten.

Nachdem ich den Umgang einmal erlernt habe, ist baramundi in meiner täglichen Arbeit zu einer absoluten Allzweckwaffe geworden. Ich kann fast alles in wenigen Schritten automatisieren und erfassen, ich finde im Forum zu fast allen Themen einen Beitrag oder schon fertige Skripte und Support.

Cons

Ich vermisse tatsächlich eine Möglichkeit einer Inventarisierung, die ich mit den AD-Nutzern verknüpfen kann. Das Inventarisierungssystem bietet noch nicht die Möglichkeiten, die ich bräuchte, um es intern zu verkaufen. Die Zuordnung beispielsweise von Monitor zu Client ist für usnere Zwecke nicht ausreichend. Ich müsste sie AD-Usern zuordnen können, um bei einem Austritt schnell sagen zu können, was die User für Hardware erhalten haben.

Allgemein gut. Für kleine und mittelständige Unternehmen hevorragend. Bei größeren Unternehmen kann es schnell an seine Grenzen kommen. (mehrere hundert Server und über 27000 Endpoints)

Die intuitive Bedienung und der Funktionsumfang.

Cons

Man merkt deutlich, dass unterschiedliche Programmier in den jeweiligen Sektionen der BMC ihr Werk vollbrachten. Es wurde scheinbar nicht untereinander abgesprochen, was möglich sein soll und was nicht, wie z.B. die möglichkeit, bestimmte Spalten einzublenden, oder Copy and Paste machen zu können. Alte Technologieen, die schlecht und langsam funktionieren, wie der MS SQL-Designer für die Erstellung von Abfragen in Dynamischen Gruppen.

Die bereitgestellte Software durch Baramundi wie Firefox, Chrom und viele Weiter Pakete, welche nicht selber überprüft werden müssen und somit die Arbeit der Administratoren verrringert

Cons

In Bezug auf API sind eindeutig noch weitere Funktionen wünschenswert, ebenso das eigene Remote Tool sollte mal wieder etwas erweitert werden.

Schwachstellenscan ist leider so nicht brauchbar. Das machen Hersteller welche nur das machen besser. Das Login ist ebenfalls verbesserungswürdig
