TryMyUI Reviews
Pros
The pricing flexibility is great. If you get on a call with them, they're very polite and able to customize certain aspects of the plans.
You get a personal success manager at the Team level to help you with usability testing in general (not just how to use the platform, but she actually knew the industry inside and out).
It is offering various attempts for the user to improve their qualification- rating which I liked the most.
I like most that this software is free. That is all it has going for it.
Cons
Due to its poorer UI, it initially seems a lot harder than it really is.
I do not pay attention to TryMyUI's feedback critical feedback at times.
Despite numerous emails and messages, no one has been back in touch to help. Very bitter taste left in my mouth.
Pricing and customer support were the worst thing about trymyui. It's a real shame as I feel it has potential.
"Since we can't change everything, at least be a part of one thing."
Overall: My experience with TryMyUI has made me have mad respect for this specific niche in UI testing. Everything that we use, on a daily basis, had to undergo rigid testing in some form or another. Being part of the beginning stages gives you appreciation of the overall product.
Pros: The transparency of what needs to be collected and what is expected from Testers along with set timelines and guided support when needed.
Cons: Limited space for Testers. You must be quick and diligent to the requirements set forth and timely in responding to requests if you want to be a part of any Tests on this site.
"Affordable, robust user testing "
Overall: We initially thought we'd only need to test the redesign of our journalism homepage, so we ran the free trial. After seeing and hearing users interacting with our new landing page, we realized we might have had problems that ran deeper than just visual. The new account flow, the subscription, our search function, etc. We upgraded to the Team plan, and the quantitative stuff is where we really started seeing notable improvements to small tweaks. Our time-on task rate dropped significantly (which is what you want) for completing the subscription flow. To tell the truth, after we got about 20 or so results with the Team plan, we downgraded to the Personal again to go back to testing visuals since we were happy where we were with our more involved UX flow. But what we really love about TryMyUI is that you can upgrade and downgrade at will with no contracts or penalties. We did 2 months of the Team plan at $399 per month, and then downgraded to the Personal for $99 per month. We'll upgrade again in a few months to see where we are in benchmarking our sub flow.
Pros: - The pricing flexibility is great! - If you get on a call with them, they're very polite and able to customize certain aspects of the plans - The quantitative features are excellent and exactly what people newer to usability testing need - User video results were fast and pretty good (we had an unsatisfactory result and got it replace for free) - You get a personal success manager at the Team level to help you with usability testing in general (not just how to use the platform, but she actually knew the industry inside and out)
Cons: - It looks really dated (but functions very well - Due to its poorer UI, it initially seems a lot harder than it really is
