Meetings are shorter because people can review the information at their leisure. We are able to keep better tabs on the changes made to the documents as well, therefore less will fall through the cracks. Pros I like that I can just simply upload a design or video and then everybody can markup and add comments to it directly on Ziflow -- no need to send emails back and forth with a bunch of screenshots. I also appreciate that it tracks approvals so there are never lost communications. I really like the threaded comments as well because they help when there are disagreements about changes. Cons The free version of Ziflow limits the number of files that can be uploaded which is terrible for when I am testing new things. Also sometimes when uploading large files it takes forever and it really bothers me. It sounds petty, however I feel that the interface has far too many buttons and I often find myself clicking the wrong button by accident. And now they simply drag & drop the files and I can get back to doing real work. Pros It is doing a good job handling the large files without freezing (which is way more than I could ever say for our email server). The “Spaces” feature is fine for organizing once I finally get around to using it. It does upload pretty quickly on this awful Office wifi. Cons Honestly the price is too high for what it does and one major complaint I have is trying to find older documents I've already downloaded is an absolute nightmare. And also occasionally the interface freezes up and I'll need to refresh 2-3 times before I can see the file preview. I wish there were better tracking features in the express version so I would be able to tell if the client actually opened the video/file. Pros I enjoy how easy it is for us to mark up proofs at every step of the way, both internally and for our clients. As a project manager, I especially appreciate how seemlessly it integrates with our project management software, to ensure approvals happen fast and in a more automated fashion. Cons The way it integrates with Microsoft Word for copywriting and with some of the web features seem a bit clunky. It would be nice if we could figure out a way to integrate it seemlessly so that all users could have a better experience. Cons When comparing the different versions of assets, it picks if the words have moved slightly on a page and this then can be confusing as it identifies it like the actual copy have changed when it actually hasen't. Therefore it would be helpful to have a specific function that can compare the copy on its own, and exclude any design amends. As a designer that is an immensely valuable time saver! Pros It makes it incredibly easy to track and respond to comments on creative projects! As a longtime designer, juggling rounds of feedback and getting approvals/input (and then reinforcing it after deadlines pass) is always a huge headache. Ziflow is the first platform I've used that actually manages this for you. Cons It can be a little bit hard to navigate the options for each draft - sometimes you need to edit/replace a PDF without creating a whole new version (even a minor one), and sometimes you need to carry some incomplete comments forward into the next round of feedback to continue the discussion. Would be great to have an easy way to edit projects/approvers/keep comments in later versions, right from within the draft viewer.
