Pros

It is useful for the exact sciences, and the depth of the research is ideal. Another great thing is the recognition of topics that have not yet been researched.

Cons

Sometimes I felt that it had few export options, also that smart writing tended to be monothematic.

Scispace has helped to streamline, organize, and energize my academic research. It not only allows me to begin refining my own research perspectives, but it also suggests helpful alternatives that I have not already considered. Scispace doesn't do the work for you, but it certainly gives you a significant boost to productivity and quality of work product. This platform is head and shoulders above other AI platforms catering to academic researchers.

Pros

Scispace is truly an unbelievably helpful service for academics and researchers to wade into the vast amounts of existing literature and be able to start making sense of it all. There are so many helpful features for a reasonable price. AND customer service is incredibly responsive, polite, friendly, and helpful!

Cons

The lack of existing tutorial to help with the abundance of features and capabilities that the platform offers. It can be overwhelming until you begin to play around with all of the things that are available to help search, organize, and utilize the literature.

Brilliant is how it has all the tools required for academic research. Scispace understands the prompts clearly as outputs are more than expected.

Pros

Ease of use, functional tools and accuracy of outputs. The time it take to generate outputs are great.

Cons

Once you have exhausted your credits, the system stops working. Allowing the user to top-up would be beneficial.

Frustrating and credit burnout with no outcomes. Bad support. In my field, microfluidics, it was totally a waste of time. The worst thing is that the AI agent can process the full PDF in your library.

Pros

Chatting with papers. I assume that writing and AI detection must work ok, as in all other AI tools.

Cons

Almost everything else. The software is still not smart enough to deal with hard science fields. The literature review keeps breaking your inclusions and exclusions for no obvious reason. The AI agent will let you into a maze to burn your credits (5500), delivering nothing. I use the first three days in my billing period on things that do not require intelligence, with outcomes that you can have better results with using ChatGPT. Their support is AI-generated and designed to get on your nerves and to drive you crazy. To be fair, it could suit research related to social sciences. If you are in the hard sciences or engineering, it is not ready yet.

While writing my thesis, SciSpace helped me a lot to manage all the articles and that was kind of student course management. In addition I could classify the articles according to the subjects or other indicators, which helped me a lot and made it a value for money.

Pros

Time-consuming to read a pile of articles, and actually user-friendly and ease of use. the library helped me a lot to classify the articles. and the suggested articles from the SciSpace were very helpful.

Cons

I sometimes couldn't find something in articles with the help of SciSpace, while it was there. so it made it a bit unreliable to use it alone.

Slow, Opaque credit consumpion, without the option to predict the final cost for a simple task, misleading compensation policy (within 24 hour of my registration and realizing the rate at which the credits were consumed, I asked to cancel my subscription and take full refund, but they refused it, because I had consumed over 300 credits... (which is rediculous, since this was exactly the sign for me that the app was useless, since it has very high consumption rate of credits. More importantly... I have to notice, that the answer of the app after consuming from my one and first task this amount of credits.. was that it could not answer... the question....)

Pros

The potential and not the actual performance. I had read numerous good reviews for the app, which forced me to test it. My experience was dissapointing when compared with general purpose AI tools and taking into account the cost for everyday research use.

Cons

Value for money relationship. Unclear and very high consumption of credits for even simple tasks, which makes the app useless for everyday research needs (at least in the Premium Plan that I have used)

Quite negative based on how much credits were used for one literature review. The review took a lot of time and didn't a detailed response.

Pros

Customer servicec was quite good at solving any issues I had. The search engine is quite prompt and quick.

Cons

Be careful on the subscription. The Pro member has a severely limited credits available (limited queries). I added three keywords to the search engine and the limited review of literature I requested was far from a detailed analysis.

Amazing and can't get enough of it. Very different experience than normal Chat Bots; not like ChatGPT or Gemini.

Pros

The results whether literature review or else, is so organized, easy to understand, clean, sharp and to the point.

Cons

I can't recall anything for now, maybe in the future it will become faster. However, it's all good now since you don't normally do intensive research so frequently.

I like literature review the most. It helped me quickly scan for documents for literature review in thesis

Cons

AI writer is often lag. Its responses were not relevant to the context when writing. And the citations were not automated when the AI writer generated based on the user's command.

to resolve an issue they take months. I am a paid subscriber, and when I logged in, I get a free account. After sending 10+ emails, still they are trying to resolve my issue
