It breaks down a lot less than the old carousel style machine they used to have. Its also nice that with multiple drawers the keys can be separated by new and used, first key, second key etc. Pros I love that I can, using the app, put stock numbers for keys that I need in the Que so when I go to the machine I can just say check out the Que. That saves me time when I'm actually at the machine. I also like that I can check the app to double check what keys I have checked out to make sure I have them all accounted for. Cons I wish that the app program would allow me to type in a partial number and it still be able to find the key. At the actual key machine, I can type in a partial number and it will come up, or at least give me a few options of keys that fit what I type. Pros There is a secure feeling to having your keys locked up but the software and other functions are severely lacking. Cons They remove access to features you initially pay for and then when you ask how to enable them again they refuse to answer you unless you buy their upgraded support plan. You cannot entirely lock access top the system based on time you can only have a little beep noise enabled. Apparently they have in the fine print the contract is a 5 year renewal every time it expires. I contacted to Keytrak and got a form letter response with a rubber stamp signature from some one who will not take my phone call stating that my contract doesn't expire until 2024, tough luck. It feels pretty secure an I enjoyed using it Pros Being able to login with just my fingerprint saved a lot of time and aggravation with passwords, etc. Cons The user interface seemed dated but that could have just been the computer I was using it on. It still worked fine almost all the time but did freeze up a few times. If you purchase a Keytrak system you should own have access to the software. I have 2 key machines right now that unless I sign up for a service contract I can't get access to the software that we purchased with the machines. Pros Not much of anything at this point. It is glitchy and always has issues. Cons No real support for anything that is remotely dated. If you know these machines the majority of them in dealerships are the older systems. Cons Key Trak is not what it used to be. they are part of the Reynolds and Reynolds company. There billing and support is a nightmare! The machine has failed several times inside of 12 months! The sales persons lies about support and warranty coverage! be very careful to ask the right questions when considering the product! shipping is not covered and they will charge you upwards of $800 for a simple draw to be shipped!
