Mimo Progress is the perfect application for my needs as a therapist. Pros I needed a way to make notes that I could easily reference anywhere, but were safe from prying eyes. Mimo offered the best option as a free trial. Thus, far, I have been able to easily take notes on my Ipad so that I can reference them wherever I am. The application is fairly simple to use. I like that there are not too many options or complicated forms to use. Cons I wish that the "homepage" was a page that listed all of the options: new note, clients, search, etc. instead of just going right to the notes. Pros It didn't take much to start using right away. The options it provides have met my needs, so far. As my practice grows we'll see if this will meet my needs, but I'm confident that it will. Cons I don't know if there is anything that I don't like; however, I'm using the free trial right now, and I expect that once I subscribe, more options will be available. Counseling Mental Health Care Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "User friendly, quick setup" March 26, 2020 3.0 Overall, good value for the money if you need to be up and going quickly and are not too picky on having exact duplicates of existing files. I will be much more interested in it when it is android compatible. Pros I like that I was able to have the framework of how I do my notes up and running quickly and could create my own templates . I also was able to use the existing templates with ease. The program allowed me to be using it in real time within an hour. Cons This is definitely a program cut out for Apple users, although I am able to use it with my android operating systems, just not as slick as I suspect it could be. It is important that I have portablility and there is no android app at this time. I have inquired to the help desk and been told that this is on the drawing board, but there is no expected time when it might roll out. Psychologist Mental Health Care Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Highly Recommended" March 27, 2020 4.0 I’ve been able to use an app where I can hand write my notes, my preferred manner, without using numerous sheets of paper and having to store them. The app stores all the notes in their secure cloud and I can access or print notes whenever necessary. Handwritten notes appear as written, and when they print out they look like my notes would look if I’d used paper and pen. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was more than generous with his time and I never felt as if I was bothering them with my feedback. Rather, they welcomed it and took whatever time it took to rectify any of the few problems that occurred. Pros I initially got Mimo because I needed an app that would allow me to hand write clinical notes on an iPad using a stylus. As the developers have responded to my concerns, the platform for writing with a stylus has improved significantly. I almost never have any problems when writing notes anymore. The ability to type an app either with the supplied format or free form is excellent as well. Looking up notes on the ipad is relatively easy, but looking up notes on the computer is seamless. All in all I’m thrilled that I found this app and very happy with its performance. Cons As mentioned above, I initially had an issue with the performance of the platform for hand-writtten notes using a stylus. Random lines would appear for no reason whatsoever and while I was able to erase them, it was highly inconvenient. The company (\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]) worked with me on this very closely and I was impressed with their customer support and also with their dedication to make the app work perfectly. My understanding was that they had to figure out the sensitivity of the screen so that random lines would not appear. Currently, after more than 6 months, it is working quite well. I do occasionally get a line or two if maybe my sleeve or a button on my sleeve hits the screen but usually this doesn’t happen anymore. It allows for more patient interaction and helps better provider-patient relationships Pros This is groundbreaking for me as it easily integrates so many different ways of taking notes so I can better focus on my patients themselves instead of rudely typing while they are pouring their hearts out. It has helped me seem more empathetic and allowed for an increase in the quality of time I spend with patients. I especially love the iPad feature where I can take notes while on the iPad to allow For more time face to face. Cons I am of the younger crowd in our facility, so I enjoy and appreciate the modern technology that is being implemented and utilized to better patient care. But I realize there are some of my older colleagues who dislike using it because they do not understand how to do certain things or use it in a way that will be most beneficial to them because technology is not something they’re used to. Pros The ease of use, the treatment plans and the many different types of notes that are available. Cons I feel there needs to be a diagnostic assessment available. Some of the sentences are repetitive and should be changed. A better description for the different types of notes would be helpful. Cons Dictation capability is pretty functional, though some glitches need to be addressed, such as occasional unintended duplication of already dictated text, short dictation time, limited dictation commands. It’s no different than looking up different psych evaluation templates online or in your EHR, and using it as a guide to create your own template. I expected to see different styles and customs forms to fit each type of practice. No idea why this should cost money.
