There is a daily dispute about who's on the wizard and who really shows up on the day you are supposed to work. Not user friendly at all and all staff complains about it. Pros I DO NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT SHIFT WIZARD, IT IS DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND IT IS NOT PLEASANT TO LOOK AT. Cons I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT SHIFT WIZARD. I FIND MYSELF NOT LOOKING AT IT TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON OR LOOKING AT IT TO PICK UP SHIFTS - IT IS DEPLORABLE. They inform it is supposed to track our JBDEV, Healthstream and other things but like I said why do we have JBDEV to swipe in and out? It's very easy to access from home or mobile phone. Cons Occasionally I have difficulty assessing shift change requests. I have had times when I have needed to log out and back in, or made multiple attempts when trying to see shift change requests for peers. Pros There is a quick and easy log on which is helpful and the phone app is friendly to use. There is a good month to month view to see your overall schedule. Cons This is not very user friendly. There is no way to make sure people to do not sign up for overtime within this. You are also not able to view coworkers for your day. You have to go to department view and then mark off filters each time you do this, which is a lot to have to do. The multiple views for facilities is very confusing. Not sure how I feel about it yet Pros I like that the shifts go automatically into my phone, when connected to my iPhone calendar. It nice to be able to send messages to coworkers for trades, etc Cons I don’t like how the messages show up when you send one to someone, regarding trading shifts, or working a shift, etc… I don’t like that the shifts you’ve worked don’t stay on your Iphones calendar after you’ve worked them. I dont like how you request time off. If you don’t need to use PTO, how do you put in for the days you need off that you don’t want to use PTO for? Even though I don't like the look of the new updated screens I like that the updates allow you to complete an action with less clicking. Pros Easy to learn - for the most part user friendly. The updated screens have decreased the number of clicks to complete an action. Cons The updated Department screen is to busy - to many colors. The old department screen had alternating gray to help keep focus on one person's schedule. On the new screen if you don't use the mouse to highlight the person your eyes tend to lose track. Pros I have been using ShiftWizard for several years and it has been helpful with making my schedule and requesting time off. There is documentation for when I request vacation time. It allows me to see the people I will be working with how many nurses are scheduled that day. It was not difficult to learn how to use the system. From a former manager perspective, it is easy to customize, locate and change shifts, view reports and send urgent messages. The Shift Swap feature is hugely popular with staff as well. I haven't had any problems with scheduling. It's nice that it prepopulates our schedule each time, but we can add or delete days. It's a very thorough system. Pros Ease of use. Was easy to learn how to use. I am able to assess my schedule and others, if I need to. Can put my vacation requests in at any time. Ours gets approved within a day. It's a good system. Cons I think it had our birthdays in it when it first was launched. With so much identity theft, I wasn't keen on that.
