I do like that our staff have transparency now and that all members of leadership have access to the schedule. Pros We absolutely love the messaging options and the access from the app. Our staff have transparency to see their schedules from home and can pick up shifts easily. Sending out updates about staff meetings and events in our department has never been easier! Cons We do not like when we have to put in a new shift type that it comes across as a code VS the shift type. We feel as though there are several different views to look at to get information that we use to have all on one schedule type. We had to create teams to let our staff know where they would be working VS having the information transparent on our total schedule. Something that should be as easy as pulling up a date, putting a persons name in and the shift they are working has to be done in so many steps. It's very easy to access from home or mobile phone. Cons Occasionally I have difficulty assessing shift change requests. I have had times when I have needed to log out and back in, or made multiple attempts when trying to see shift change requests for peers. It’s fine but in the beginning I did not like it at all. Very hard to learn and not very user friendly. Pros I can see all of my staff on one page for 4 weeks at a time. I like the Calendar view for my employees Cons It was very difficult to learn. Lots of options to do different things but can be very overwhelming. You have to go in and out of lots of different screens and apply filters. Pros How simple and clear scheduling and reviewing my schedule on ShiftWizard was. Easy to make changes, log in from my phone, swap shifts. Cons No true complaints honestly, sometimes they’d have updates at inconvenient times for me but that isn’t in their control. It has room to grow, as most products do, but functionally does everything we need. Pros As a supervisor and user, ShiftWizard has some great functions. I love the overview of the department schedule which is very icon-driven, par levels are easy to manage. Cons By far my least favorite is its rough integration with tools like Google Calendar. For example, you can sync with Google calendar but then that calendar can’t be shared with anyone else (so for families you have to re-enter and maintain your work schedule). From a former manager perspective, it is easy to customize, locate and change shifts, view reports and send urgent messages. The Shift Swap feature is hugely popular with staff as well.
