I think vector helps train up workforces in areas we dont have time to do so in person. Pros We use vector solution trainings to onboard oi ur student employees. Once set up it is easy to develop traing tracks for certain employees. You are able to see emplyees progress and send reminders wheb a training is due I like the amount of trainings in their catalogs. They have a variety. Cons I would a appreciate a more frequent rotation pf content or additing of new trainings or refreshing traings more frequently. I like the dashboard that shows all of my mandatory trainings and my progress. Pros I like the setup and organization of Vector trainings. It helps keep me on track for what I need to accomplish. Cons There are many points to click through for some trainings, and it makes it seem a bit tedious. I would prefer to have it play through. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Do your research before you ever approach them. Pros When we first onboarded with Vector, it was called Target Solutions. It was designed to help get training to our EMT's on our department. The first year was great. After that, it went straight down hill. Cons Vector did not keep up their CEU's to match the requirements that were set by state regulatory boards. Our EMT's would need to go to other websites to get the necessary CEU's. When we attempted to cancel, they advised we had missed the window. Then we attempted to reduce our users and they advised it wasn't possible, even though they had done it for us in the past. They are money hungry and greedy. Does not allow for collaboration or practical applicaiton with peers to cement actual learning, foster compliance, or lead to improved professional practice. Pros Can ignore the slow, repetitive course content, and take the tests. Setting a timer works great.This behavior is driven by Vector's delivery norms. Cons I do not need repetition or a reader. I can read and understand the content three to four times faster than presented. Being bored works counter to learning. Give the unfortunate folks who must take your courses every a year a way to read the slides and go more quickly through what we already know. If you must, require some time be spent on each slide reading the dialog and forcing us to page through. Adult learning research shows that repetition and slow delivery of content actually diminishes learning/remembering content. Do better! Pros All of our yearly training modules are housed in one place. It’s easy to see what is done and what still needs to be completed. Our HR also has access, so it’s nice that we don’t need to take screenshots of every single completed module. Cons This is our second year using it and I have not stumbled upon anything I’d consider negative at this point.
