Supervisor of Technology Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Netpresenter - robust, low-cost, and customizable" July 29, 2021 5.0 Working with the Netpresenter team has been a great experience. We needed to have a couple of custom screens created that would pull XML data from our class scheduling software and display it as wayfinding with directions on all our screens. The designers were able to pull in the data, format it how we liked, and publish it to our screen. The price was extremely reasonable for this custom work and we got the results were were looking for. Pros I like that it is very robust, has great features, and can be easily customized by the Netpresenter design team. It also integrates with our Active Directory environment so it's easy to define content for different organizational units. Cons I can't really say anything bad about Netpresenter. We use the Alerts feature, wayfinding, as our desktop informational screen-saver and more. The only down side I can think of is that RSS feeds can only show the title of the feed item - there is no way to also show the body text. Hopefully that is in the works. Reason for choosing Netpresenter The hospital has been using Netpresenter for our desktop screen savers for over five years so it made sense to also implement it for alerts and wayfinding. The transition for us was easy and also gave us a chance to upgrade to the latest software and implement the Active Directory integration. We retired our Spinetix HMP300 boxes and the proprietary ClearOne Aavelin boxes and replaced everything with Netpresenter because it doesn't need any proprietary hardware to run the signage. Pros Netpresenter is a strong tool to supplement an internal corporate communications program and reach a geographically dispersed employee base. Netpresenter's sales team works attentively and with enthusiasm to understand customer requirements; they check in frequently with helpful updates and questions about how to further improve. Creating slides is simple with the customized company template and/or standard templates. Numerous options exist to target a specific or broad audience on a certain schedule/frequency. This platform delivers to a range of devices: TV screens, computer screensavers, mobile phones and more. The strength of the Netpresenter platform is supported with well-written, detailed user manuals and a very responsive and helpful tech support team. Cons As a result of frequent use, we have identified a few things we hope will be added in the future: improved time zone flexibility when using the scheduler function; an archive option that stores evergreen content more easily so that it can be used again; a folder system for organizing slides/messages. We have the ability to communicate with our people no matter the situation. I wish all of our third-party vendors were as reliable, responsive and friendly as these people are. Pros The ability to reach out to all employees in the hospital is important to us. We use this to inform, entertain and warn our people of events within the walls of the building and across our campus. Furthermore, the ability to target individual departments via channels allows us to get information to that department that only they need. Cons We've had a few issues with the deployment of alerts. Some show up immediately. Others take long or do not show up at all. We've worked with our team and the Netpresenter team to tweak our system to run faster. Every Executive has commented on how wonderful it has been. Employees love being recognized for anniversaries, birthdays and important milestones. Managers love recognizing staff so all employees could see. It has been great to advertise ideas, IT issues, Health and Safety issues and upcoming events such as training dates and holidays. Pros The ease of set up, the quick outreach to employees, the flexibility of the software, employee engagement, allows us to rely less on emails so that important messages can be shared and viewed without cluttering email. Cons We love everything about Netpresenter. Wished we could have attend an in-person training but we understand that the Pandemic did not allow this. The staff is professional and accessible every step of the way. The product is easy to work with and creates a very professional environment to your communication initiatives. The employees love it! Pros Easy to implement and use. Lots of variety in layout and templates. Working with the NetPresenter staff was fantastic. They were very responsive and helped us every step of the way. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] Customer Relations Manager was fantastic to work with, she supported us during a long implementation journey and worked with us above and beyond when selecting the product with multiple demos to several stakeholders, then getting the product into budget and then implemented. Cons I really do not have any that I can think of. Reason for choosing Netpresenter Met all of our needs and had the ability to expand and evolve as our facility grew. Zo heeft iedereen snel inzicht in de data en kunnen we sneller sturen op cijfers en proactief aan de gang met data. Pros Grootste pluspunt voor ons is de koppeling met PowerBI en de manier van werken van Netpresenter. Toen wij ons aan het oriënteren waren op gebied van mogelijkheden betreft Narrowcasting + PowerBI was Netpresenter de enige leverancier voor ons die zich wilde richten op de mogelijkheden en daar ook super in is geslaagd! Mocht support nodig zijn staan ze ook snel voor je klaar met snelle opvolgingen met kundige mensen. Cons Geen grote nadelen of minpunten kunnen ontdekken. The targeting ability allows me to reach everyone - whether they have pc's or not. Pros It is easy to install, the ability to bring in your target audiences is simple and accurate, sending out message from a mobile is great. The emergency alert is invaluable to first responders in the safety and health environment. Being able to see on a dashboard how the message is received as well as the feedback by the reader being able to respond to each message makes such a difference in understanding whether or not the message is landing in the way intended. Cons There is nothing I don't like - there are however some features which could be enhanced further.
