Pros

The Bókun team is always helpful and solution-oriented. No matter the issue, they provide guidance and support quickly, which makes managing my tours much easier.

Cons

The platform has limited payment options for South African suppliers. Currently, PayPal is the only available option, which can be inconvenient for many clients and restricts direct bookings.

### "It would be great if it worked"

I am having a horrible experience with Bokun. It takes days and approximately 20 hours of work to set it up, with the help of customer service agents, who are really kind, by the way. However, after days, I encountered all kinds of sync errors from GYG, Viator, and Airbnb. I strongly suggest anyone that wants to use bokun to think about the amount of time, energy and stress they will have to spend for it. And finally you get more and more errors. I will switch back to manually sync my OTAs.

Pros

Some customer support agents are kind. Pricing is not too expensive The concept is good, in principle

Cons

bugs errors sycn discrepancies learning curve calendars you have to set up the same things over and over again for many times and hope that everything works you may lose all your settings on the OTAs

I recently had an inquiry regarding third-party connectivity, and the team reached out directly via phone to ensure my account health was 100% on their end. Their support staff is knowledgeable and understands the urgency of the industry. Highly recommended for the professional approach

The Proactive Support is exceptional. It’s rare for a global platform to reach out with a direct phone call to verify account health and assist with third-party connectivity hurdles. Knowing there is a competent human team behind the automation gives me the confidence to scale my operations without fear of 'System Silence' when it matters most.

Cons

The only area for improvement would be the automated notification system for third-party connection errors. Sometimes, an external portal may have a login or delivery issue, and it would be beneficial if the Bókun dashboard provided a real-time 'Status Health' alert for those specific external API connections.

It is an okay software, it works. But not for people who has more complicated products or bigger corporation. For sure some other company will hire a standalone Scheduler or Management for this, which is preventable.

Pros

Very strong functionality, well thought out, responsiveness is pretty good, articles online for support are almost up to date, more flexibility when it comes to customization.

Cons

The UI/UX needs revamp, even though I have an experience in design and functionality- the interface, connection, user friendliness and Viator Syncing needs a lot of improvement. It will take about at least couple of hours for a user to fully fix the schedule, availability, syncing, widgets and more. (totally unnecessary, knowing that we also took time creating Viator's product) Viator uses a different legacy platform that doesn't connect well with Bokun, this is not 2010. Both platform needs to sync, market Bokun on viator as an add on cause it has a lot of perks compare to the legacy. Each button needs detailed explanation and step by step guide to handle task that also indicate affected areas. In short, it needs centralization. It would be easier to put a hierarchy (bold text above regular text) to indicate importance. (and again, needs to be centralized) The dashboard, experience and much more needs visual guidance. e.g adding colors and customization option for users. Also, if possible- allow user to create their own dashboard that can add widgets. e.g calendar, products, agents, availability and more. This helps users to easily visualize what we have and what we can improve as a whole. Better interface, more sales- more commission to Viator and Tripadvisor (this is a potential add-on option to earn more on your side. I understand that Bokun wants to simplify and minimize distraction in terms of UI/UX, However- the design does not create a mind pattern of visualization for us to know what's important or not. Everything is the same, you have a very powerful tool, let us know how powerful it is and prevent future chat support assistance by enhancing the whole interface. Lastly, tell Viator to increase the timeout cooldown while creating a product. It kicks people out after some time and it never saves the input. Add additional cookies or a separate condition while creating a product, it is totally unnecessary to time out a user while editing. Just put some pop up for "are you there?, Are you still editing?" or something. Legacy can't run this, let bokun absorb Viator and you'll get more sales and commission from this. \*\* Fix the availability option please \*\*

### "Not worth the money they charge."

When you are just starting out, it’s a good platform because of its modularity & sync with all the big OTA’s. But the fees add up very quickly and it’s unacceptable paying so much money for a sub-par mobile UI and a non-existent mobile app.

Pros

It synchronises with both GYG & Tripadvisor. It also has pretty fast support. It also has a lot of options and experiences are very customisable.

Cons

The fees can reach more than 500€ per month if you are doing even remotely good. It’s absolutely not worth it for a company that has a barely functioning mobile website & an “app” that only lets you view your customer’s names! Very poor UI.

I find the Bokun system pretty good, and the staff are brilliant, helping out with any issues and any issues whatsoever are always sorted within minutes.

Waiting time under 1 minute. For connection with a member of the Bokun Team and once you are connected they stay online until the issue has been resolved.

Easy to operate and nice staff to get help. You can use the widget on different websites and manage the tour date from Bokun.

Cons

To block date is difficulty to work, you have to close each day.

Choosing Bokun in my case was a complete mistake.

Pros

I don’t have a good experience with Bokun.

Cons

I used Bokun to manage my bookings, but I encountered serious issues, especially with OTA platform synchronization. The biggest problem was with Viator – time slots appeared as unavailable when they were actually free, leading to lost potential bookings. I spent an entire month trying to resolve these issues, but the problems persisted. When I contacted customer support, I faced an extremely slow and ineffective team. Responses took a long time, and the solutions provided were generic and unhelpful. For software that charges a monthly fee, I expected much better service and a more reliable system. If reliable synchronization with OTA platforms is crucial for your business, I recommend considering other alternatives.

English level of other agents. It can be hard to communicate with someone with B1 level of english.

\- Great support service - Reliable technology - Easy interface - Great option to create supplier relationships - Design led widgets and booking process Need I say more!

Cons

The only requirement I have is that I need to able to create a tour experience that allows a minimum number of people from different booking parties for my tour to go ahead. Eg 3 Min. That is fundamental in tour operations and surprising that it is not available on the system. Please add!

Al principio empezamos mal por que al tener el plan gratuito el soporte no era tan eficiente, una vez compre el plan, hasta me llaman cada vez que contacto.

Pros

El Servicio de Soporte es muy bien, en cada interaccion resuelven al instante, y si no lo hacen te llaman para confirmar una vez esta resuelto el problema.

Cons

Aveces puede llegar a ser un poco confuso, la curva de aprendizaje es ambplia, pero el soporte siempre esta ahi para ayudar.
