Overall I'm very happy with Clearnet. Their rates are acceptable and their customer service is excellent

Pros

The phone in help desk is especially helpful. Thankfully i don't have to call in frequently but when i do they are always friendly courteous and solve my problem within minutes.

Cons

The PCI compliance questions are often hard to navigate especially for a person with little tech knowledge

They are scam artists that bills for additional fees

They are scam artists. Stole money while I had an account with them. Stole money after I ended my contract.

Ease and compatibility. Support is helpful and walks me through things that are challenging for me.

Cons

The fee's..... so many fees. The PCI compliance is frustrating to complete- although support is very helpful in resolving issues.

I have always had great experiences with Clearent. There are some limiting factors to the app/program, but overall I LOVE it!

Pros

The customer service is amazing. The specialists are always VERY helpful, going above and beyond to answer questions and find solutions for issues or questions!

Cons

There are some limiting factors that could be very beneficial for small businesses if they were addressed, like the ability to change prices, the ability to split purchases between cash & card, and now the ability to manipulate taxes for food versus non-food items (bc of the recent change to food taxes in OK).

Horrible Barely used the service, they kept adding charges to our account and made it impossible to remove the charges.

Cons

Rip Off company. Added additional features/costs to our account without our authorization. Tried to get them removed, continued to bill us for the additional features and would not remove from our bill. Cancelled our service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Ease of use. Whether on terminal or online it’s simple enough.

Cons

Wish if it was run as debit it wouldn’t charge customer fee. Worried about legalities of that.

Great experience when called for help about receipt paper I was helped immediately. They were polite and courteous the rep made sure she resolved any issues before we got off the phone which was great.

Pros

I like the fact you can tap and use apple pay or google pay it is very easy to use and install

There is nothing I like least everything works well and the transition was easy.

Customer service was quick and efficient at answering my question. Get a live person and no unending recordings

Glitch online with my "Virtual terminal" tab on left drop down doesn't appear all the time like it used to. I have to select different merchant at top and then it pops up.

The agents are courteous and knowledgeable, walking you through the steps to get your issue resolved.

Pros

We have had no problem getting customer service on the rare occasion that we have needed help. That is huge in an era when automated messages seem to be fighting with you to keep you from speaking to a human!

Cons

No complaints. I cannot recall any hiccups in the past two years.

I would never change from Clearent. I own 6 stores that all use it. When someone forgets to enter a payment I can just log in and quickly find their error. Before Clearent I was in the dark.

Pros

I love the ease of use and the transparency. I love that it is integrated with CCC.

Cons

Costs are higher than some processing I have been offered.

Good reports when i log in. Machine is easy to use.

Cons

Unsure who or what Clearant even is. Lack of communication. There was an update but we were not contacted and lost many credit card sales.

Easy to integrate, easy to use, great support when i have an issue to resolve, and their charges were cheaper than the merchant services Co. we were using prior to finding Clearent.

Pros

The thing that sold us the quickest on using Clearent's services was that it integrates with our CRM software making streamlining a cinch, from documenting/scheduling the appt to closing the service/invoice and collecting payment at POS

Cons

The devices provided for collecting payment are not very reliable. WE had to pay for them, yet our service staff sometimes have to enter #s manually due to failing equipment

### "Sore Losers"

Horrible customer service!!! Our company was purchased and we were switched to their processing company. When I asked to close the account they were happy to do so, and then sent a 400.00 early closing fee. I called to inquire and they said I closed our account two months before our agreement ended. They never gave me that warning when closing. But they also said some of their customer service people aren’t the best. I AGREE!!!

System did as it should. I cannot think of anything super positive or negative.

Nothing I can think of. It did what it was intended for.

### "High fees and automatic contract renewal"

Technical support was helpful if you needed it.

Cons

I have used clearent since 2018 and the fees have gone up annually. I called to talk about what I could do to lower my merchant fees and they said nothing. They even charge a statement fee even if you are paperless. I cancelled my account and after 6 years of being with them was told I was automatically renewed for an annual contract so I would be charged $395 to shut down the account. I would not recommend this company.

Customer support. You may get a rep that doesn't know much or seem to care, but then you may get somebody that is on top of it and really makes you feel as though the care and understand.

Overall this is a good system to use as it makes collecting from customers much easier as it is integrated with coolfront. With a few changes made to this system we believe it would be much better.

The thing our company likes the most about this system is the ease of use.

Cons

We have not received any card readers since we have been a customer of Clearent and being charged a higher rate due to not having them. Not having the ability to search a transaction by customer name.
