Overall, Google Slides has been great for me as a presenter. The ability for me to be able quickly select a template and go to work. Now, some of the AI tools have made it even more helpful

Pros

Google Slides is one of my favorite presenation tools for professional use. The templetes are great and now th customization options with the use of AI is taking my slide shows to another level. I have had very few issues when using this product over the years. Of course, the cost of this software is important to me as a teacher and small business owner. It has always been so easy for me to use.

Cons

I didn't care for Google Slides before I understood how I could integrate it into some of my other presentation tools.

Google Slides is an excellent value for money especially because it’s free and still offers everything I need for creating professional-looking presentations. It’s very easy to use, with a good selection of templates and enough customization options to make presentations look polished and professional. Customer support and Google’s help resources are helpful when you need assistance, and I haven’t experienced any major bugs or issues. Since it’s connected to my Google account, I can easily access my presentations from different devices, share them with others, collaborate when needed, and quickly email them. Overall, it’s been a smooth and convenient experience, and I would definitely recommend it for both personal and professional use.

Pros

I like how Google Slides is connected to your Google account and completely free to use. It’s a great alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint and is easy to access on a MacBook or any other computer. Everything is stored in one place, so you can simply sign into your Google account on another device and have access to your presentations without having to transfer files.

Cons

You get the best experience with an internet connection, although you can use it offline as well. Some of the more advanced features and customization options are a bit limited but overall it gets the job done!

My overall experience with Google Slides has been really positive. It’s super easy to use and makes putting together presentations quick and stress-free. I like being able to access my slides from anywhere and share them with others without having to send files back and forth. The real-time collaboration is a big plus, especially for group projects. Everything saves automatically, which is also really convenient. Overall, Google Slides is simple, reliable, and flexible enough for most presentations. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants an easy and convenient way to create and share presentations.

Pros

Google Slides has been a really positive experience for me. It’s simple to use, easy to organize, and makes creating presentations feel pretty effortless. I love that I can access my slides from anywhere and share them instantly with others. The real-time collaboration is especially useful when working on group projects, since everyone can make changes together. It also saves automatically, which is a huge plus. Overall, Google Slides is convenient, reliable, and flexible, whether I’m making a quick presentation or working on something more detailed. I’d definitely recommend it for both personal and professional use.

Cons

One downside of Google Slides is that it can feel a little basic compared with more advanced presentation software. There aren’t as many design options, animations, or customization features, so creating a really polished presentation can sometimes take extra effort. It can also feel a bit limited when working on more complex projects. That said, it’s still great for everyday presentations and group projects, especially because it’s simple to use and makes sharing and collaboration really easy.

Google Slides works well. It meets basic expectations and is always improving, albeit slowly. I like how you can edit the slides to look like other documents (like word docs) so you can use all of the Slide features in the shape/template of doc you need by changing the page layout size.

Pros

The cost and G-suite integration is the best part of Google slides. All the conventional features you could hope for are there, and it integrates decently with other systems.

Cons

Google slides always feels behind on creative uses, which has recently been improved with the “beautify this slide” AI feature. It’s not amazing but it’s helpful for people in a time-crunch

For everyday team decks it does the job fine and the collaboration side is great. I still jump to PowerPoint when I need something polished, but for quick stuff this is what we reach for.

Pros

It's free and lives right in the browser, so I can throw together a deck and share it with the team in minutes. Real-time co-editing is the big win for us, and everything just saves to Drive on its own. Easy to pick up if you've ever used PowerPoint.

Cons

It's pretty bare-bones next to PowerPoint. The template selection is thin and the animation and transition options are limited if you want anything fancy. It can also get laggy on really big decks, and you lose some formatting when exporting to PPTX.

Its ease of use makes it simple to design slides quickly, even for beginners, and its strong collaboration tools allow multiple users to work together in real time without confusion. It also performs well online with easy access from any device, making it convenient for both school and work projects.

Pros

What I liked most about Google Slides is its strong ease of use, making it simple to create and edit presentations from any device. It also offers great customization, templates, collaboration tools, allowing multiple people to work on the same presentation in real time, which makes group projects much easier. Makes things easy for professional use.

For internal decks or anything where you need quick collaboration, Google Slides gets the job done. For a polished client-facing presentation, I usually end up exporting to PowerPoint or rebuilding it elsewhere.

Pros

Real-time collaboration is the best part. Being able to work on a deck with someone else simultaneously, leave comments, and track changes makes back-and-forth with clients and teammates smoother and there's no need to track versions.

Cons

Design flexibility is limited compared to PowerPoint or Canva. Annoying that when you export to PPT or import from PPT, the formatting ALWAYS gets messed up. Not much precise control over layouts or more sophisticated animations. The template library is also pretty basic.

As a trainee I utilize Google Sheets quite often and it’s sooo easy to use. The prefilled templates are amazing and I love that you can integrate other templates to customize them even more.

Cons

The only thing I do not like (which I don’t even prefer) is the Gemini assist. I’ve played with it multiple times to see if it can help customize and it was a complete fail… also may be user error!

My overall experience with Google Slides is fair if I consider this solution a last resort one, since design tools are limited.

Pros

What I like most about slides is that it is a useful to-go solution since it's available within Google Drive

Cons

What I least like about Google Slides is the available templates and graphical objects, and well as the limited amount of fonts and effects.
