“Great way to create platform-independent presentations and to collaborate”

OverallMy overall experience using Slides has been very positive. I enjoy the cross-platform, free, easily accessible design of this software and I feel the pros significantly outweigh the cons. Even though I have powerpoint installed I only use it if for opening existing presentations I have received from someone else. For be Slides is always the preferred choice when I want to create or edit my own presentations.
ProsWhen creating a presentation I have a choice between powerpoint and google slides. I prefer slides because: - it is free to use - it works online and I do not need to install anything/have anything installed on my computer - I have many devices (laptop, desktop, android, iphone) and I can view, use and edit my presentation on any one of those devices - The interface is easy to use and I can find the features I am looking for typically without significant effort - If working with someone else, you can collaborate on a project in real time - You can publish and embed your presentation on a website and share it with people I also like that the work is saved online so if and when my laptop dies, I do not have to worry about copying files anywhere, my work is safe. Overall there are many pros to using this product.
ConsAs for styling the presentation, the selection of themes is quite limited and I wish there were more options. From a functional standpoint, because of features like real time collaboration, you have to be online to use it. My internet connection is bad and cuts off sometimes, so I have to pause work until it resumes. No connection causes a notification bar to show up saying "trying to connect" and everything becomes disabled until I am online again.

“Modern Presentation tool”

OverallWith my academic activities,I mostly needed Google slides for presentations. It is a free and online tool that can be use easily. We can make slides in anywhere when we needed. That mobility function is very needed today. Because now we have devices that can access internet easily,so these kind of applications should be suit with them. Google slides has made with that task. Another best thing is we can make and edit slides in collaboration with our teammates by allowing them to access it. As the owner of presentation we can allow others to add 'only comments' or to edit if needed. And also it has a function that can questioning about slides(Q&A). Then we can answer them. Google slides can use in both computer and mobile. It is a good thing so we can work with it easily. And also this can be recommend as a secure workplace that we can work with. We can use other Google applications along with this easily and most of photo, video and document formats are support to Slides. When we needed a quick editing(last minute editing) I can say it is really quick with this software. It has so many tools to make the presentation special and professional. When working with this app we should need a good internet connection unless we haven't enabled the offline editing. But in offline editing there are so many limitations. We need to be online moslty. But Google slides still have less effect items and themes. Those functions needed to add more choises to make slides attractive and real.
ProsEasy to use and completely free software. Mobilty software that can use in anywhere. Can edit quickly(last minute editing).
ConsShould have a good internet connection. Somewhat less effects and themes available. Need a Google account to use.

“Awesome way forward for collaborative work processes!”

OverallOverall, it's made a drastic difference to our company's efficiencies and has helped us produce work faster without multiple rounds of physical interactions to get to a good place. This along with the other G Suite products are part and parcel to our improved processes and will continue to use them!
ProsGoogle Slides has provided a brand new way of all departments in my company to collaborate quicker and easier. The ease of assigning various people really helps to alert people without sending additional recap emails and digging through various threads to understand changes that have been made/ requested for.
ConsThere are times when we need to take our slides offline and convert them into Powerpoint. During these moments, it can be a little troublesome to reformat the deck as there are differences in web-friendly fonts etc. Apart from this, it is quite difficult to get the same size when copying an image over to Powerpoint which can be cumbersome during last minute changes. For a deck which is 100 slides long, this can be quite daunting and time consuming.

“The Modern and Creative Way to Present Information ”

OverallGoogle slides currently allows our team at EY to present weekly deliverable documents to our clients, which outline progress, issues, and next steps. In addition, it is very commonly used to construct easy-to-follow manuals outlining certain procedures, steps, or instructions for someone else. Slides has been very useful in constructing a collaborative presentation, allowing our whole team to work on one presentation at the same time and finish it in a very short amount of time, in order to maximize efficiency and optimize our time.
ProsGoogle Slides allows for an extremely collaborative and creative style of work between a group of people. Whether it´s students, co-workers, or teachers/professors, Google Slides allows the user to have full freedom over how they wish to customize their presentation. My favorite feature is the versatility of the software, since you are truly never limited in terms of what styles, fonts, designs or formats you can pursue. Therefore, you are in full control over how you wish to present your information- very creative and funky, very professional, etc. The opportunities are truly endless thanks to this incredibly high level of customization that the platform provides you with. Secondly, the communication and easiness of collaboration lets you be even more creative with this software. With two or more users collaborating on the same project, you have the ability to divide tasks in order to create the perfect presentation. Perhaps one person focuses on fostering creativity, while the other centers around the information or data of the presentation. This is what allows Slides to be the a truly collaborative platform.
ConsPerhaps the area in which the most improvement can be made, is its compatability with Microsoft Powerpoint. Often times, downloading a Google Sheets presentation to a local Powerpoint file can lead to distorted fonts, graphics, transition animations, and more. Very small details can cause the file to be visually misshaped. As a result, the user must sometimes manually adjust details before locally sending the file through e-mail or submitting it through an online platform. For example, when working on a presentation that will have to be sent through e-mail or submitted online after presenting, I tend to use very simple fonts and transitions that I know are available in Powerpoint. For this reason, I think implementing an option which can be "turned on" to limit features to those which are compatible with Powerpoint, is a good idea. This option could be useful when users know that they will have to eventually submit this presentation as a PowerPoint, but they want to keep the collaborative aspects and benefits of Google Slides.

“Collaborative Presentation for the People”

OverallMy overall experience has been nothing but mostly positive. Please implement version control in the future though!
ProsAs with most of Google products, I love that it's collaborative and the price-point is right (free). Where I was prepping for school presentations, work presentations or making a process doc Google slides has never failed me. It's also used at most big companies, startups, and advertising agencies alike.
ConsThe only caveat with Google products is always the question of privacy and version control. The main question is, "how do I know that this is safer than non-cloud presentation software". There's always a risk when using any cloud-based software, but it's a valid question to ask yourself.

“A Great Alternative to Microsoft Powerpoint ”

OverallOverall, I've had a very positive experience with Google Slides. I think I would prefer Google Slides to Powerpoint, especially because you can access your project from anywhere, since it is on your Google Drive. However, you cannot add to it when you are offline because the changes won't save. Still, it is a great tool for collaborating with others or just sharing your work and presentations with others, so I would definitely recommend this product.
ProsWhat I like most about this software is that it works just as well as Microsoft Powerpoint, but it's free. It has basically all of the same features, and the best part is that it is shareable, like the way you can share Google Docs with other people. This has been really helpful when I had to do group projects and work with other people remotely. It was easier for us to collaborate with Google Slides, and then send the project slides to our teachers very easily with just the access to the link.
ConsI don't think there is anything negative to say or any cons about this software. It has all of the same features as Powerpoint, including templates, themes, and adding special effects or images or anything else. I think it works even better than Powerpoint because it is very easily shareable. I guess the only thing I would say that I "least like" would be that to change anything, you have to be able to use wifi/the Internet, whereas Powerpoint does not work exclusively online.

“Google slides for amazing presentations”

OverallI recommend this as the best tool to create nice presentations and documents
ProsWith google slides they provide amazing set of templates for the paid domain plan and also with the free gmail plan which helps to create a stunning presentation in few minutes. Online collaborating feature is another great feature that they provide. You will be able to revert to older versions and also keep track of the history of what you and editors did. Also you can setup privileges and access rights with will really make your work easy.
ConsThere is no offline feature where it syncs with the internet when you want to work offline.

“Perfect for creating simple power point presentations- No learning curve!”

OverallI used Google Slides to create the pitch deck for my start up company. At first, I looked into paying to use a fancy slide site since they had pitch deck templates that looked AMAZING and would've made the process extraordinarily easy. However, they all seemed too expensive since I would really just be using it for this one thing. So I looked at Google Slides and decided to go with it instead. I am SO happy I did! Although they don't have any formal templates, all the themes they do have are super easy to customize and professional looking. I have had nothing but positive feedback from potential investors on my pitch deck. Free...Easy...Access from anywhere...What more could you ask for! Everything is extremely customizable. Each text box, photo, and background can be edited as much as is necessary. And because it's a Google program, you never have to worry about losing unsaved work! One of my favorite things about Google Slides though was very unexpected- the mobile app. It is AWESOME! Editing is decently easy, though of course it's easier to just do it from your computer. But it is the presentation mode that is amazing! With two clicks, you can present your slideshow straight from your phone! I would never do this as a pitch obviously, but it's great for casual conversations and showing people what my company is all about! My pitch deck is right there in my pocket!
Pros-No learning curve -Good variety of templates -Easily customizable -Saves automatically -Access from anywhere -Great mobile app
Cons-Couldn't figure out how to change the main color on a couple of the templates -No duplicate function for text boxes

“Ideal solution to work in collaboration”

OverallIn overall, is a great solution that allows you to work easily and in collaboration. It is a very simple solution to obtain great results
ProsGoogle Slides is the best solution to work in collaboration to preapre and share any presentation, through out your organization's team or any other external. In collaboration it allow you to simultaneous review, add, erase and edit any kind of information at the same time. Also, as you work, all editing is being safed automatically, so you will not to worry about saving manually everytime the file. Another great part in the integration between the other solutions of google (docs and sheets), as you can information directly and update it if in the other files where also updated. For last, you can add access control to feel safe about who can access and/or edit the file.
ConsIt is possible to struggle a little with the max size of the file, it have a limit at the moment. On the other hand, the convertion to Microsoft PowerPoint sometimes affect the format you are using through the slide, it is important to have it defined.

“Go with Slides! Make the shift!”

OverallCreating and collaborating on beautiful, impactful, and useful presentations.
ProsThere are a lot of presentation tools out there - perhaps too many. And I'll admit, I've spent too long experimenting with competitors. I always come back to Google Slides, though. Here's what I love most. First, it's cloud-based, so everything is stored in the cloud and automatically saved. Further, I can access it from anywhere on any device. I can collaborate with teammates seamlessly and effortlessly. Next, if you're familiar with the G Suite platform, then Slides will feel natural to you. No need to learn a new interface. With Slides, you have the ability to add all sorts of content to the deck (i.e., videos, audio, images, GIFs, etc.). Beyond creating presentations, it's really the "Swiss Army knife" of the Google apps. It's versatile. You can do so much with it with students (i.e., eBooks, create-your-own-adventure stories, collaborative projects, hyperdocs, etc.). It's truly a versatile tool for classrooms. Slides is also constantly being improved by Google - so I trust and expect that even better things will come. For example, consider that they just recently introduced the Q&A feature which allows you to interact with your audience while presenting. What a great idea! Go with Slides - make the shift, if you haven't already.
ConsAlthough I'm a big fan, here are some areas for improvement: - The standard themes are somewhat lacking. Google has not provided many options, but there are freebies available online (consider Slide Carnival). - It does not have some of the advances features that some users of PP may be familiar with, but honestly, only a few users need those features so it's not a major concern. - Because it's not a separate software, you storage ability is linked to your Drive account and the amount of cloud storage you've purchased. - It's a bit of a learning curve when migrating to the platform, and some may feel a little lost. But I do not think it's overwhelming, nor do I feel that this should deter you from giving it a try.

“Make the switch for Education”

OverallPresenting instructional content, making eBooks, sharing ideas, collaborating with peers, etc.
ProsI use this in the field of education. I used other platforms prior to Slides (PowerPoint, flipcharts by ActivInspire, HaikuDeck, and a few others); however, Google Slides is the one of I've stuck with. I see pros with each of the previously mentioned platforms, but Google Slides is the clear winner with regards to longevity. Pros: - It's included with a G Suite account (if you have a Gmail or Drive, you have access to Slides). - It offers all of the features that a good slide deck needs. - It's cloud-based so it can be updated across multiple platforms at any time. - There's even an app that works for editing. And it works well! - It's collaborative - students and colleagues can work on Slides, together, at the same time. No need to email copy after copy after copy. There's one copy in the cloud that we're all contributing to. - It's constantly being saved. No need to worry about a computer or app malfunction - it's just always being saved in real time. - Add-ons are available by independent developers that make it even more powerful. - It's easy to integrate features from across your Drive account (images, graphs, even YouTube videos).
ConsI see no real cons. Some may argue that other platforms may have more advanced features, but in all honesty, how many of us really need/use those advanced features? I'm guessing very few of us. Just make the switch - you won't be sorry.

“Everything you need and more.”

OverallI have used Google Slides without a hitch for years. Aside from the occasional issues of freezing, which can be ascribed to my own computer/RAM/etc., I have never had an issue with Google Slides. The fact that my work is continually saved in the cloud is an added layer of protection in the event of crashes, surges, and the like.
ProsI found Google Slides very intuitive to use, especially transitioning from Microsoft Powerpoint. The fact that Google Slides can be used in-browser eliminates system strain and preserves resources and system memory. The fact that the slides can be easily downloaded and used within Powerpoint provides an extra layer of versatility. The in-browser, real-time experience makes collaboration across various operating systems far easier. Of course, a benefit is that the program is free for personal users. Also provides some advnced features, such as a Q&A notes section.
ConsSlides lacks some of the advanced capabilities of Microsoft Powerpoint. It will also require an internet connection to continue work on a project. Despite a lack of some advanced features, it should be more than suitable for the majority of users (especially students).

“Google Slides is the only presentation tool you need”

OverallI would recommend Google Slides to anyone who's either looking for an alternative to PowerPoint or a free product which has all the same features and more.
ProsI started using Google Slides about 4 years ago as I needed a quick solution to not having access to PowerPoint on a laptop and I've never looked back since. Not only is Google Slides free but it's just as good, if not better, than PowerPoint. What makes Google Slides even better is that you can work on presentations with colleagues easily through the cloud either letting them edit or view only which makes it ideal for modern workplaces. You can download the presentation as a PowerPoint compatible presentation for easy set up offices and you can download the PDF slides as well.
ConsIf two people are editing the same slide at the same time, it doesn't always save what you have done or will just save one person's work so you'll need to be mindful of that but it's never really been an issue for me as usually only one person will be working on it at a time. Sometimes when downloading as a PowerPoint there can be a few conversion errors so it's always worth checking back through the presentation to make sure everything is where it should be but again I don't have any major issues with this.

“Great software, I wish it had more features”

OverallI enjoy Google Slides, and I've gotten to make some great presentations using the software. I used it for graduate school and personal use.
ProsGoogle Slides is a great alternative to PowerPoint and it has the added feature of being able to collaborate in real-time which is helpful when working on a team project.
ConsA few issues I had: it could get a bit confusing when multiple people were working on the presentation at the same time. Since we can all work together in real-time, it's hard to be able to keep track of which changes were done when and by whom and which changes are going to be in the finished product. The other issue I had with it was that the layouts and designs were different than PowerPoint and they weren't interchangeable. So I needed to redo my presentation from PowerPoint in Slides with animation and everything. I was hoping for more functionality between the two so that presentations made with one software could be used with the other without spending time redoing the entire presentation just to get it to function the same way with animations.

“Almost All of What you Need in a Presentation Tool”

ProsGoogle Slides is another excellent offering in the Google Suite that provides many of the functionality of other office suites. Slides takes on the function of presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Prezi. The main benefits of using Google Slides and the other offerings is that it is free and offers very easy online collaboration, allowing multiple people to edit the same document simultaneously. With the collaboration function, there is also a chat to allow present collaborators to communicate. While other suites have collaboration now, Google Suites was the first and remains the easiest to use. Slides has a clean and easy to use interface, offering many of the same tools as its competitors. It offers easy to use and modifiable templates as well as an easy way to embed media such as images and audio. Exporting is also excellent in Google Slides, offering many different print options for multiple slides per page and options for outlines or notes on the printouts. Slides can also export in formats such as .pdf and .pptx for offline saving and presenting in Microsoft.
ConsOther suites offline functionality is better compared to Google Slides, as you need to have an online connection to natively present Google Slides. You need to download your Slides presentation into a format like .pdf or .pptx in order to present offline. This is an issue that is more unique to Google Slides when compared to the other Google Suite offerings. Some of the functions present in Google Slides are not as robust compared to the tools in the Microsoft or other suites. This includes animations, fonts, visualization and graphing, templating, and master slides functionality.

“Google Slides Makes Presentations Rock”

OverallI created prenations for my class daily. I then download it as a PDF and open it on my iPad and mirror it to the projector. I write all over the presentation with Notes. Currently there is not a way to do that directly on Google Sheets and that is why I download it to PDF and use a different App.
Pros-Switch from Power Point to here is easy. I haven't found a feature that on Power Point but not on Google Slides -Creating presentations with a group or team is a breeze. Share the presentation with Edit turned on and all your members can work on it from there computer where ever they are. If working at the same time you can turn chat on and communicate while working on the presentation. -If you are the team lead, you can have your team review your presentation, but instead of editing they can "make suggestions" of things to add. You can then add what they suggested or not with a click of a button. -When giving your presentation you can share with people with view only on. They can follow your presentation from their device but cannot make edits. -Access your presentation anywhere you have internet. -Easy to download to PDF
Cons-Always bring a downloaded backup. If you don't have internet access, you cannot access your presentation. -Be careful when building a presentation and you are working on the same slide at the same time. If you are both working in the same spot, it will only save one of your work.

“Great tool for collaborative use and failsafe presentations”

OverallOverall I find G-Slides really usefull as a work tool for use in the office or for collaborative use, it provides security, flexibility and everywhere access, and allow to easily share the document with other people for review or cooperate, but of course for personal use it isn't yet a complete alternative to desktop options.
ProsWell, maybe the best quality of Google Slides and the whole Google Drive app is the fact that eveyting stays on the cloud and is auto-saved after every change. This is what makes this suite really useful being able to access to your presentation at any moment at any place with an internet connection. Besides the fact of being linked to a google account (or a company account which uses the G-suite) makes really easy to share the presentation with other people, either for cooperate or just to show, by just sending the link or an e-mail invitation, and the permissions are easily configurable during the sharing process. Apart from this, Google have been adding more features over time making this app a worthy oponent to maybe not Microsoft PowerPoint, but certanly a great competitor for LibreOffice Impress, by having a bunch of configuring and formatting options and a lot of really nice templates. When sharing, there is also the option of adding comments to the presentation that won't show once is in presenting mode, but that are usefull for the collaborators to give hints or tips, or maybe discuss the best option for doing something.
ConsWell, bearing in mind that this is not an actual competitor for the desktop options, maybe the offline access is a bit limited, and the transition effects are also just a few. For a fluent use it needs a good, reliable internet connection.

“Amazing presentation design tool”

OverallI use Google Slides regularly, not exclusively to make and alter introductions yet in addition to see and remark slides from other individuals. I am regularly training college courses and Google Slides has been an astonishing instrument in this specific circumstance. It is anything but difficult to get and remark on the slides of understudies. My involvement with Google Slides has been extraordinary. In the event that the instrument had progressively complex highlights, like other introduction programs, the apparatus would be impeccable.
ProsMy kindred chiefs in my organization expected to show together yet we are once in a while in reality together. Rather than messaging forward and backward or far more atrocious gathering face to face to go over our slides-we as a whole just utilized google slides from the solace of our own workplaces. Google slides makes simplicity of introduction on introduction day since we aren't all changing to new reports the majority of our commitments are in one spot! Likewise, we had the option to see every others slides to make a uniform look. When I required my slides checked on before my introduction my manager was basically ready to sign on and see as opposed to sending forward and backward. So natural!
ConsThe product on occasion runs very moderate! I normally simply need to restart the program and that would fix it yet I didn't love that. Likewise, it tends to be a smidgen dubious to make sense of how to utilize every one of the impacts. Another chief attempted to direct me via telephone it would be useful on the off chance that I could turn on having the option to see their activities so I could gain from them. She wound up simply doing all my altering for me which isn't perfect for her- - however worked out for me

“Great online tool for presentations”

OverallWe have been using Google Slides to make presentations, often in collaboration on the IT team to show procedures or projects to other staff. Being able to share a link made distribution easily, mostly for computers that didn't have Microsoft PowerPoint installed.
ProsThe best feature compared to other tools is the lack of software installation for showing the presentation, where most browsers will be able to show the project just fine. The interface is easy to learn, and there is a good amount of options and features to work with. It is even possible to easily show videos, a task that is painful in other alternatives such as Microsoft PowerPoint. The integration with other tools also allow for others good aspects, like having the project hosted on Google Slide.
ConsIt still lacks some features present in offline alternatives, and uploading images can be annoying on the fly. A good fix for this is having all images ready beforehand, and having them uploaded for when you need to insert them. I also don't recommend doing a slide on a mobile phone, as doing the same project requires a bigger amount of work and time.

“Google slides versatile tool for the success of your presentations”

OverallTo help my daughters in their tasks, they have resolved me by saving time, when they have their doubts before an evaluation I use the slides to make mental maps and make them digestible, in my work it has been formidable when it comes to offering a product catalog or the layout of a strategy to follow
ProsIn regards to Google Slides, it is crowned as the ideal tool to carry out work presentations since it is designed for everyone, I in particular have found use in the presentations of my daughters in their classes this tool is Useful, it also has good use in teaching making the information more interactive, in my work you can organize with the work team in real time the design of the presentation to be in line with what we want to convey to our partners and customers , which is also complemented with the other applications such as google drive to facilitate even more a good presentation, with google slides I can add photos, images from the web, audio and video files among others, the slides can be organized with the different Simple, secure and reliable templates as they are compatible with most formats. It is a totally free tool we just have to enter our mail (Gmail), everything is stored in the cloud, it also has its Google technical support that is top notch.
ConsAn internet connection is needed to work Depending on which audience it is, it is usually boring also according to the topic to be treated. You must correct and expand the page sizes and add external elements It has some limitations regarding informative notes but remember that it is a free version   you can lose some animations if you want to convert PowerPoint to slides It is a bit complicated for the one who is new in handling presentations but is digestible for a newbie,

“Simple Solid”

OverallOverall, compared to Pages, and Powerpoint, I just love the simplicity of it.
ProsOverall I've been using Google Slides to present to adults and teens for over 5 years. I also teach young adults how to pitch through entrepreneurship, I love how Google Slides is versatile, can be added, shared anywhere and through a variety of platforms. I think the designs are simple and sleek allowing my students and clients to not focus on busy designs and really focus on the quality of the content and message behind their work.
ConsNothing, there is nothing I can say I like least about it, for the most part if someone wanted more options Pages is the more diverse, robust software but there are so many great Google Slide templates you can easily download to save you time.

“The best free presentation SaaS offering”

OverallGreat tool for basic presentation creation and editing.
ProsIntegration with GDrive and ease of use. Google Slides provides all the necessary features for building rich presentations, all through a web interface. I'd used SlideRocket in the past but Google Slides is much easier to use and performance is better. Initially it took some time to adapt from using PowerPoint as Slides does not have the full breadth of PowerPoint features. However over time I grew more comfortable with the subset of features and the convenience factor took over. Basic alignment tools are there and Slides works well for general purpose slides. The offline capabilities are important as well, since occasionally you won't have access to the internet. Finally the pricing is great, free for use.
ConsMost of the fonts I use in Google Slides are not standard PowerPoint fonts. When I save a Google Slides and open it using my desktop PowerPoint app, it results in font conversion which is an eyesore. I also miss some basic PowerPoint features such as presenter modes and the ability to create complex animated slides. If you are looking to import and convert other slide formats (i.e. pptx), Slides does its best but it usually won't convert over cleanly.

“Easy Collaboration, Creation & Presentation”

OverallGoogle Slides has increased productivity when people are out of the office and it allows us to always be in touch. Plus it's free, which is a huge plus for a startup.
ProsGoogle Slides is the Microsoft Powerpoint of 2019. I'm a huge Google fan, to be honest right up front. They took all of the good things from Microsoft Powerpoint, which we all know of (I'm looking at you Grandma) and put it into the digital version that is accessible 24/7. It syncs in your Google Drive and you can easily share it with others. I love working on projects with my team remotely when someone is travelling or out sick. You can see what they're working on, you can leave notes and you can both edit together. It's like being in the same room, without having to actually be in the same room. It presents & works just like Powerpoint, except it's free and always online.
ConsI have issues exporting from Google Slides sometimes. It's mainly when I need to export the files for Microsoft Powerpoint for a client (ahhhhh). The files don't always play nice, so you just need to be aware of that when you start a project. I've had times where there was no issue, but it can be hit and miss.

“An Easy to Use Application for Presentations”

OverallOverall, I have used Google Slides in everything from school projects to business projects and it has never let me down.
Pros Google Slides is a great tool to collaborate on presentations. It is easy to use and as long as you and your colleagues have an email hosted by Google or a free Gmail account, all of you can effortlessly collaborate on it. The real-time edits are great although I have found sometimes when multiple people are working on a slide at the same time, there are sometimes some savings issues. However, the auto-saver is great, no longer having the fear of accidentally closing the window and losing your progress. There are premade templates that can give your presentation a professional look to it, even if you aren't comfortable with making your own. This makes it clean and simple. Another feature I like about Google Slides is the speaker notes. This allows you to have your information, visuals, etc. displayed while you can have your own notes that the audience does not see. Finally, a great way to avoid confusion when working together is the chat which allows all contributors to talk to one another and able to clear up any confusion.
ConsThe only con I have with Google Slides is that you need an internet connection do work on your projects. However, when the time comes to present, you can easily download a copy offline that you can't edit but can show and that has worked enough times for me. If you do have internet connection, connection to a display is easy.

“google slides ”

Pros- great to use when you are working on a team project. I can do one part of the project while another co worker can do the other part. We can work on the powerpoint at the same time, so it is very convenient for group projects. - it corrects my spelling well and it can correct for some terms and strange names that regular spell check powerpoint won't pick up. - i really enjoy using the tables and graphs features of the google powerpoint. it makes beautiful graphs. I can make circle, line, or bar graphs. really the options are endless. There are several table options that are great for organizing information. - I like that I can chat with my co workers while I edit when I use the chat feature. This can help clarify information without cluttering the document with comments, which can slow down the program. -I like that I can access the document from any computer just by having my google log in. this is very convenient so If I forget my laptop or don't have a desktop, I can still get my work done on a public or friend's computer.
Cons- It can be hard to use the toolbar. Everything it on the top and you have to use the drop down menu for getting information. I wish it was more like the traditional powerpoint where there were toolbox menu with shortcuts. -sometimes when too many people are working on the document at the same time the site will temporarily crash. It usually still saves my edits but sometimes it doesn't. It is not normally an issue, but I try to make sure only 1-3 people are using the document at the same time. It usually is only an issue if people are editing. When others are viewing the document it is not normally an issue. - I am not a big fan of the editing process. You can track your edits but sometimes if you have a lot of edits, the program slows down considerably. -You need internet to use the document. sometimes this can be difficult if I am in a place that does not have free wifi (car or plane). -

“Google Slides Keep Students Engaged”

OverallOverall, Google Slides has been an excellent method of summative assessment. It is perfect for projects and collaboration among students. Google Slides flips the classroom and helps the student take control of his or her own learning.
ProsAs a middle school teacher, I am always looking for creative ways to incorporate technology and intertwine it into my science curriculum to promote student engagement and digital awareness. Google Slides is just the tool for that! Students become immersed in the almost unlimited opportunities to create unique projects that represent the topic of study. With the ability to incorporate video clips, photographs, drawings, and text art, students not only remain engaged in their assignment, but actually become competitive with one another to see who can have the best presentation. As a teacher, I am also able to create a wide variety of assignments, from click and drag, to collaborative projects, to individual tasks. Google Slides works seamlessly with Google Classroom and Google Drive, so my students never feel lost in locating their work. The fact that it automatically saves student work is a lifesaver too. If you are looking for a creative way to engage your students, promote digital awareness, and encourage collaboration, then Google Slides is for you.
ConsGoogle Slides is a self-taught type of program. My least favorite aspect of this software is the lack of customer support. To counter that, there are more YouTube tutorials on anything and everything Google Slides related than one person could ever watch. It only took a few good searches to see how other teachers were using Google Slides to figure out how it best fit my classroom needs.

“Ability to open, view, and edit slides anywhere!”

OverallThere is really nothing not to love about this, from the ease of sharing and collaborating in real time on projects to being able to see edits that people have made and to be able to access/present slides without ever having to install powerpoint. This really has been an excellent application both in the sense of convenience as well as value, since you can literally send the edit link to any user and they can open google slides from their browser.
ProsBeing able to access slideshow presentations on-the-go is a must! In addition to being able to collaborate on group slides using the google integration, it also offers the ability to track changes people have made for easy version control, as well as being able to chat to collaborate on projects in real time from wherever. It doesn't require microsoft office to be installed, and you can create/edit slideshows from anywhere, even your mobile device. It even allows you to play your slideshow directly from the Google Slides interface, meaning that if you are on a device for which powerpoint is not installed, this is a real lifesaver. The UI is very intuitive, and this being a google product, the tutorials and walkthroughs, as well as the community for help, is superb.
ConsThe only downside that I found on this is that for slides that are very graphics heavy, Google slides becomes really slow to use. The animations menu is also rather clunky and doesn't offer as many options as regular powerpoint, but overall this is an amazing product to have on every device!

“Collaboration Lifesaver - with is Limits”

OverallHonestly, Google Slides wouldn't be my first choice when choosing a presentation software, but I would never have gotten through my recent collaborative project without. It is key for working in large groups virtually. I really appreciate Google having different technologies
ProsI couldn't imagine doing my last group project without Google Slides. I had to work on something with people at five other companies, all using different systems and emails. Google is only common denominator we had, and Google Slides was perfect for us. Not only could we work in the deck at the same time and divide out the work so it was easy to collaborate, we also could add comments and have real-time conversations on certain parts of the deck. I was also pleasantly surprised at how many features Google Slides had to create a decent-looking deck. It was a good foundation and a really good tool for getting presentations together in a tech-friendly way... which is a refreshing feeling with collaborative projects!
ConsI will admit, after we collaborated and got the meat and bones of our presentation, we downloaded it off Google Slides and moved it into PowerPoint or Keynote. While it's a great tool for getting together the information you need and organizing it together, it's not super feasible (in my opinion) for creating high-impact, professional and nimble decks. It's hard to make custom designs work unless you're a Slides expert. And while it's mostly seamless between PowerPoint-Slides, it's a little different in some features.

“Google Slides for students”

OverallHaving Slides available within Drive for student use has provided creative outlets both in and out of class assignments. Students are excited to use a project option outside of traditional papers to demonstrate their knowledge and Slides makes this all possible.
ProsGoogle Slides offers students a platform for presentations that is available and accessible across grade levels. The built in Explore feature puts a search engine within their project creating an easy path for research. The tool bar is similar to other Google Drive programs which makes it familiar for students to use and find what they are looking for. The ability to publish final presentation to the web allows students to use Slides in more creative ways, like making flip books (using stop-gap animation techniques).
ConsIt is difficult to find a critique for Google Slides, but a feature that I would wish for would be more varied themes and slide set ups available as templates for students. Sometimes, fewer choices is a better option for students. For more advanced students, though, those options can open up a world of creativity and better prepare them for digital design careers.

“This is the future”

OverallThis is the best tool i've tested, im fully pleased with it. Of course you cant have it all, but as an overall this app wins by far.
Prosi decided to test it to the limit by using Google Slides to create and present my final MSc dissertation. It flawlessly worked. No connection issues, everything was smooth, clean, no mistakes, i had to go back and forth many times and it did what it was intended to. No crashes, no fear to lose what i've done. And it saves versions in the background for each time you open the project. The main benefit for me was during the creation because sometimes i added info from my laptop, my desktop computer, several times from different friends computers and many times from my smartphone and that was a bless. That way i reduced times and efforts in creating the presentation and allowed me to add what ever i needed from my phone. As simple as drag and drop, use many available icons, edit pictures, round edge pictures and a lot of options without having too much options as other presentation tools. Drag pictures from internet, Interface is clean and simple, easy to find options. To have my final dissertation here meant i left everything in google's hands and it was worth it. Easy, beautiful, trusted, fast and free? What a no brainer! There is way to add free or paid icons using the Playstore.
ConsThere is room to improve in the graphic design of some icons so Google can imprint their own style.

“Google Slides - the best collaborative presentation application”

OverallAll in all, Google Slides files the student's gap of a collaborative application for presentations. It's very easy to work together with colleagues on very good-looking and possibly even more complex presentations. It might not have the feature set of some expensive and more hard to use programs, but for me, that's not a big deal.
ProsAs I student, I have to do lots of presentations - and most of the times, I have to work together with classmates. Compared to other competitors, collaborate working is definitely one of the strengths of Google Slides. Microsoft Powerpoint, for example, offers this feature, but it's nowhere near the performance and feature-set of Google Slides. As a Google product, Google Slides is always gorgeously implemented in the Google ecosystem - this way, all your presentations and documents are always synced, you won't forget them at home. The feature-set is okay, but nothing special. You're certainly able to create basic to more complex presentations with different types of media, very simple but good-looking designs and all kinds of design elements - for a students belongings, I have nothing to complain. Lastly, I would like to mention the ease of use: all colleagues I've worked with understood the application within seconds, in most cases, I didn't have to explain anything.
ConsThe feature-set of Google Slides is nothing special, you might miss some more complex scientifical features like 3D diagrams or transitions and templates. The fact that Google Slides is a web-application is for me a bonus, but friends told me, they would have prefered a standard Windows program - but that criticism is not that important.

“Fast presentation making along with collaboration”

OverallIt has been fantastic to develop presentations at lightning speed. Also helps in presenting, as, I do not need to transfer anything, I can just share the slides with the account on presenting machine, and put it on
ProsIt is a very powerful tool, helps to put everything you need for a presentation. You can even make very cool infographics with it. Adding speaker notes and presenting it, is very nice and interesting feature.
ConsThe export to PPT could be made a little better, as sometimes the layout get messed up, but other than that it works quite well

“Complete slide software with excellent realtime collaboration and cross-platform support”

ProsGoogle Slides is a full-featured presentation software, with all tools required to create slides. It's easy and intuitive to get started, with adequate default slide layouts. In my experience, the learning curve is smooth, especially coming from other standard presentation software. Default formatting options (fonts, colors and presentation templates) make for pretty slides with little efforts. Performance is good even for large slide sets including many images. It's also very stable. Exporting slides to PDF works very well, which means that there's easy access to the presentation in case of a network issue.
ConsCompared to a native application such as Keynote (on macOS), the interface feels less intuitive. For example, drag & drop support to add content is slightly more limited. The number of transition and animation choices is also restricted. It's still not possible to create mathematical equations or symbol, so that an external tool must be used. Videos inserted in the slides will play through a web-player similar to YouTube's player, which is more obtrusive than an inline player. The number of fonts available is limited to the ones provided by Google, which may be an issue if using a specific font, e.g. for a company's corporate identity. As for all Google products, the fact that the document will be stored on Google's servers may be an issue if it contains sensitive / private company information.

“Google Slides- Powerpoint Who?”

OverallI use this with my classes on a daily basis and couldn't live without it.
ProsThis software is so easy to use, and is every bit of Powerpoint, at a FREE price tag. Not to mention the fact that it is cloud based and can be edited and accessed from anywhere in the world!! What's not to love?
ConsOnly downside I'd have (which isn't really one as you can custom your own) would be a small selection of preset themes. I really like Google's themes, but since I utilize this daily in my school, without creating my own, they would become stale to the kids and parent groups who see them regularly.

“Rightful replacement for PowerPoint”

OverallWe use Google Slides as part of the Google Business Suite and it has saved us so much time in creating, storing, and accessing our files later. I can know that if I make a change to a file, everyone will have the updates immediately. I can start a presentation from scratch, or customize one of the starting templates to give me a leg up. Best of all, the presentation goes anywhere I go - even if I'm not on my own computer. All I have to do is sign in and I'm right at home.
ProsBusiness presentations are a necessary evil that I wish would die out completely, but if you have to make one, there's no question Google Slides is where you should be. It is the rightful replacement for Microsoft PowerPoint. It has all the features of PowerPoint plus more--like tons of embedded font options to make your presentation look custom (even though it's not). The ability to collaborate in real time saves you the infinite frustration of sending the file out to co-workers and having different versions floating around out there and having to merge those changes later. Plus you don't have to take up space on your hard drive because it's all stored in the cloud. What's not to love?
ConsThere's nothing I can do in PowerPoint that I find I can't do in Google Slides, so in my book there are very few downsides to this software. The only downside is that business presentations are annoying no matter what you use to make them. At least Google Slides makes the process a little less painful.

OverallOverall, I do love Google and its suite of applications. It's an easy and efficient way to get things done across teams. Google Slides is just one of those applications that can either really work for what you intend to use it for or not...it just kind of depends on your needs.
ProsGoogle stays pretty true to the controls and use of their products such as Sheets, Docs, and Slides. So, if you are used to using their other products, you shouldn't have too hard of a time learning how to use Slides. As with Docs and Sheets, multiple users can collaborate together on projects. If you already have a Google account, which these days it's pretty rare for someone not to, you will be in and working on Slides in no time.
ConsNow, while I did say it's pretty rare for people not to have a Google account these days, a downfall is not having a Google account...not a huge downfall but a downfall still for some. If you grew up like a lot of us using PowerPoint all through school, you are going to be disappointed by the lack of features. With Slides you can't customize or change themes, you have to have an internet connection to access and use it (which again probably isn't a huge thing these days because WiFi is virtually everywhere, but there are those times where maybe you don't have access and need to work), and probably one of the things that I would say is a big con is the fact that you cannot embed your own videos....YouTube is the only option you have. This can end up being a big downfall for companies who want to the use software, like for me and my team for example. We use Google apps for so much of what we do. We use Docs and Sheets every single day because we work with teams in other parts of the building, other buildings, other states, and even other countries. Our company makes all of it's own marketing materials including videos, not just for the company itself but for the clients we serve. So, not being able to put our own videos into presentations was a big downfall. But long story short, if you haven't heavily relied on PowerPoint and it's feature through most of your life, you will probably be fine as you won't miss the features that are present with Slides.

“My personal opinion on Google Slides.”

OverallI've used this in school multiple times when having to do a project. I present my thoughts and information on this site, it's really easy to use and can be made in a very few minutes.
ProsThe thing that I like the most about this product is that it's a free slideshow creation tool. It also has really solid collaboration tools and an excellent audience question submission tool. It also comes with a tutorial which really makes it easy to learn about and use. What I also love about this product is that you can use it immediately. There's nothing to download as it's online, nothing to pay, etc. As long as you have a Google account, you'll immediately have the features to create and present a presentation in a snap of a finger. This is truly the best free presentation site that you'll probably ever find!
ConsThere's not as many cons than pros that I have about this software. All I can really say is that there's no desktop app, you can't export to a video, can't import audio, and the transitions are very limited. This also goes for the selection of effects in the product.

“Easy & Organized”

OverallThis is easy, quick, and user friendly! It's simple to create without really understanding the program. Learn as you go!
ProsI love Google Slides. Picture all the benefits of (Microsoft) powerpoint, but free on Google! This is an extremely helpful tool if working on a group project. Multiple people can work on the slides at the same time from various computers/tablets. We can all work & Google slides saves as we go. It's also helpful because it is accessible for anyone anywhere. It's not just saved on your one device. It can be downloaded as a PDF, if you choose. Or share by typing in emails or sending out links. Definitely worth it, and it's free!
ConsI have no cons. None. I can see someone maybe wishing they could edit slides without internet. That isn't a common problem, though.

“Easy to create and work collaboratively on slides”

OverallWhat makes it great is that I can then send the link to ask for feedback, without having to create multiple versions. I can even put placeholder content and have a virtual assistant fill in the blanks. I can also quickly export and use it for different things. I've build e-books using Google Slides.
ProsIt just works. If I need to create something visual, may it be a presentation for a huge audience, or present my ideas in a meeting - I can quickly set up a Google Slide presentation and use the drag and drop tools. No training needed.
ConsCompared to Powerpoint, the features list is much smaller. But how often do you actually have to use ALL of Powerpoint's feature list? If the goal is to deliver information in a visual form - Google Slides nails all the primary needs.

“A Flexible, Powerful Slides Tool”

OverallOverall, Google Slides is a great product at a great price. I highly recommend it!
ProsGoogle Slides is a great tool, especially considering its cost. Some of the wonderful things about Google Slides are: (1) Integrated with your Google account (if applicable) (2) It's collaborative by nature - that is, multiple users on multiple devices can edit the same document simultaneously. (3) While it's web-based, it has functionality to work "offline" - great for traveling. (4) The UX is slightly better than powerpoint. (5) Files can be exported in multiple formats (6) Templates are easy to create with "locked" elements, ensuring other users are incapable of editing a design.
ConsThe only real downside I've experienced is that Google has traded user-friendliness for features. While the average user will find the design capabilities to exceed their expectations, more design-focused teams may be limited. The other downside is that individual documents cannot be locked - ie require a password to enter.

“Makes collaboration easy”

OverallOverall, Slide has all of the functions you need to put together a clean-looking and shareable presentation. The cloud service is very reliable and extremely helpful for collaborating with a remote team.
ProsGoogle Slides is not as sophisticated as its Microsoft Office equivalent, but many people don't really use PowerPoint's full feature set anyway. Major pros of Slides include: *automatic saving to the cloud, access anywhere *simple sharing/collaboration with real-time updates *simple customizable themes *custom slide sizes *simple but powerful flowchart drawing tools *guides and rulers, plus quick positioning of objects using the format tools *you can create master slides *import and edit PowerPoint *download as PPT or PDF *ability to embed Youtube videos or videos you've uploaded to Google Drive *Slides presentations can be embedded into Google Sites so that you can navigate them without clicking away from a page
ConsCollaborating with others on presentations can be challenging in that many people do not know best practices for creating slide presentations in general. The available themes are clean and can save you a lot of time, but sometimes the fonts aren't large enough for effective presentation on a screen. It can be very helpful to demonstrate the value of using styles and master slides to your team, since it really speeds things up when you want to quickly redesign a slide.

“Google Slides for team presentations”

OverallUsing google slides for our group presentations has created ease, flow, consistency and simplicity to my companies staff trainings. It is helpful to be able to see all of my co-directors progress as I complete my portion of the presentation. I loved that I could copy slides from my co-director so that our theme (colors and layouts) were similar. It made the presentation look much more professional!
ProsMy fellow directors in my company needed to present together but we are rarely actually together. Instead of emailing back and forth or even worse having to meet in person to go over our slides-we all simply used google slides from the comfort of our own offices. Google slides makes ease of presentation on presentation day because we aren't all switching to new documents-all of our contributions are in one place! Also, we were able to see each others slides to create a uniform look. When I needed my slides reviewed before my presentation my boss was simply able to log on and view instead of having to send back and forth. So easy!
ConsThe software at times runs extremely slow! I usually just need to restart the program and that would fix it but I didn't love that. Also, it can be a tad tricky to figure out how to use all the effects. Another director tried to guide me over the phone-it would be helpful if I could turn on being able to see their actions so I could learn from them. She ended up just doing all my editing for me which isn't ideal for her--but did work out for me! ha!

“Simple and Easy”

ProsGoogle slides is very user friendly. If your goal is to make a slideshow presentation that will be autosaved and accessible anywhere you have the internet, then this is the perfect software. If you are already used to other programs such as PowerPoint, the transition is easy and Slides is 100% free.
ConsIf you want extra features, you do need to add them through add-ons. Although I don't mind this most of the time, it does require a bit of searching to find exactly what you want the first time you add it on.

“Google Slides? Hey, it's free....”

OverallBoth PowerPoint and Keynote are superior slide presentation applications. PowerPoint comes at a price and while Keynote is free, it suffers from differentiation of features between its desktop and iOS versions. Slides is a web based solution with apps for mobile environments. As such the experience is much more consistent. Most important, it's free!
ProsGoogle slides is a credible alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote. While Slides is in most ways lacking the features of both of its competitors, it provides enough basic features of slide presentation software to meet the needs of the large majority of users. Google Slides comes with a modest number of templates, though many of them are a little dated in their appearance. There is the ability to import themes as well. The tools are logically arranged in menu items similar to the rest of Google's office suite. Users of Google Docs and Sheets will feel right at home.
ConsPerhaps the biggest shortcoming of Google Slides is no ability to record presentations. While you have the ability to insert audio files, that's not the same as narrating your presentation while recording and playing it for audiences at a future time. There are several add-ons to choose from to extend a Google slides capabilities,, however, there is no clean solution for recording your presentation. Support is rather limited as well. A few webpages, but for the most part you're probably going to Google any number of offsite tutorials or videos. Exporting Slides presentations to Powerpoint format often goes awry when trying to actually view the files in Powerpoint. There is no support for importing or exporting to Apple Keynote format.

“Excellent Features & Quality”

OverallUltimately, Google slides has made it easier to create training s to present to our organization. The editing and communication features within slides has made it so much easier to collaborate on a team.
ProsI really like how easy it is to familiarize with the google slides platform. It functions like that of other presentation platforms and is compatible with them too.
ConsThe possibility of animation features to use within presentations are not as easy to find and function.

“Google Slides Review”

OverallI use Google Slides to build my business. It really helps that everyone has google and google services because I can easily share information with others. This makes my job and building my business incredibly easy.
ProsI love that everyone uses Google and is familiar with such. Google Slides helps me to network, build my business, and share information with ease as everyone uses and is familiar with Google.
ConsThere is not a whole lot I can say about not liking the software. It is amazing. I love it all. Maybe if it could hold more data before size limits.

“Great tool for presentations”

ProsThis lets you modify slides and create valuable presentations. This also allows you to copy your PowerPoint presentations to Slides and edit the presentation. The sharing capability is also a great tool. You can easily collaborate and share documents that make it easy for a team to work together.
ConsThere a no Cons to this tool. It is the best way to collaborate and present all your work.

“Great Software, Easy to Use”

ProsI love that I can translate my PowerPoints to Google Slides and it automatically configures them. The functions and features are similar to PowerPoint and they are saved automatically into a Google Drive, rather than having to save them on hardware or flash drives.
ConsOne thing that I have experienced difficulties with is making transitions in the individual slides, as in having certain items or text show up in a sequence.

“Presentations made easy!”

OverallThe cons are very limited as one can see. I find it to be an excellent application to use. it is my go-to app for presentations and I highly rate it, especially when one is working on a team.
ProsThere is a wide variety of presentation tools out there for one to you. Some more popular than others. Some are also easier to use than others. Google slides manage to combine simplicity of use along with a powerful way to create presentation slides. It provides all the details that a good slide maker will require. It is cloud-based and therefore from any place using an internet-based platform, one can make changes and updates existing slides at any time. It is built in such a way that multiple users can work on the same presentation as soon as possible. Once one has a google account, it is very easy to use. It has a wonderful auto-save feature.
ConsSome other presentation packages have better usage when there isn't internet access but its arguable.
