### "Couldn't live without it"

September 25, 2018

5.0

Pros

I love how it is a great alternative to traditional design software like photoshop. If I ever need to design something simple, then this is what I use rather than going into photoshop. I have used it for decks, logos, print materials, and more

Cons

There is literally nothing I don't like about this, the only suggestion would be more simple design functionality like the ability to remove a white background or anything else that I've had to abandon designing on there to photoshop

This app is not for complex and detailed presentations, it's not over loaded with features like Microsoft PowerPoint.

### "Such a helpful software!"

July 14, 2020

5.0

Overall I love google slides. I've always enjoyed google slides and the template options now, make it so easy fro me to complete my projects. I really like the different option in adding images and videos to enhance presentations. This is especially helpful for me in my English Class when talking about history.

Pros

As a student that has been using this since the switch to common core this software has been very helpful with weekly projects that we have. The easy accessibility and templates have always helped me when I need a project done quick and I can't focus on the decor. I love that the software is customizable which is helpful when there's a need to put a lot information on certain slides. I have always counted on google slides to get presentations done for finals and other projects. 10/10 software

Cons

I have been using this software for a long time. Anything that I didn't like has been changed to be better. One thing I would appreciate is more versatile templates that work with certain themes. Of course seasonal themes would work for elementary teachers but there's a need to include things that work with high school and college students. If the software wants to be adaptable for the youth so they grow up using it and are use to it, this change might be helpful.

### "Good Alternative for Online Presentation"

October 8, 2022

4.0

Pros

If you want to present online, Google Slides can be a good solution. He may not be the best in his field, but his extras put him in a good spot. As you know, Google applications work in perfect harmony with each other. With the Slides application, you can prepare presentations that you can access online from anywhere. It also has its own templates. The best feature is that you can work on a presentation with your teammates at the same time.

Cons

Overall it offers a good experience, but a few new features could be introduced. For example, it would be nice to control the presentation with our smartphone while presenting on the computer. Like playing the presentation back and forth, following the notes.

### "For the most part, easy to use, but some parts could be improved"

January 23, 2019

5.0

Pros

It is simple and it follows the format of most other Google products, so being accustomed to those makes it very easy to start up with using Slides. Also, Slides templates can be found very easily on other sites online. It is responsive and doesn't eat up too much battery on your computer (and no local storage). And, like other Google products, it can be downloaded as a different file type if needed, which is very helpful.

Cons

Unlike Microsoft Powerpoint which provides many theme options and has a wide selection of options for how to arrange your slide elements based on what you put in (including images, text, etc), Google Slides offers relatively minimal artistic flair and templates found inside are very simple, sometimes borderline too basic or unprofessional and they exhaust the eye from being seen so often.

### "Gud but not best"

May 14, 2019

4.0

Pros

First of all the app is available free on playstore this is the best thing. All the apps designed by google for ms office in android are very simple .You can easily use this app as it is so handy and simple .various pros of it are :- 1)adding slides new with different layout or theme is simple easy and clear 2)adding text formating it's font adding colour is also at single step. 3)app also have the option for adding shapes easily and images also. 4) app have option For slideshow but you can see how the actual presentaion appears. 5) you can save the file as pdf ,ppt etc 6) you can also share the file directly by using add or sharing option . 7) adding link to any shape image is very simple .

Cons

App is designed for mobile use so is made simple by giving only limited but neccasary features . Apl doesn't have options like :- 1)app doesn't have option of wordart which is an important part of presentation. 2) app doesn't have animated gif or animation stickers . 3)app doesn't have option of slides transition . 4)app doesn't have option of automatic slideshows. 5) we can't fill the shapes by any image we can only fill colours in it not even textures .

### "Google slides for high school"

May 16, 2019

4.0

Overall, I really like google slides. It makes my job and working with my colleagues easier and more efficient. When we are all working on a lesson and I make a change, it makes the changes to everyone's file - so I don't have to share it again.

Pros

I love that it is easy to convert to and from Microsoft Powerpoint. I love that it has most of the same functions and layout as powerpoint, making it easy to go between the two programs. I appreciate it has a place to start the presentation function from "beginning" and start from "current slide". I like that co-workers and I can all work on it together and it saves the latest changes automatically.

Cons

I dislike that sometimes pictures and images are difficult to copy and paste. Sometimes the formatting of the image is changed, making ti difficult to make out. Also it does not accept all images, only jpeg, etc. It would not accept my pdf picture I had saved.

### "Beautiful Presentations Fast"

August 26, 2020

5.0

When there is a great deal of text that needs to be shared Google slides provides a format that can help make the material more interesting. Slide presentations can be linked to sounds, photos, charts and videos in ways that helps with flow and retention of material.

Pros

Google Slieds make it possible to create a attactive slide presentations, with interesting transitions, sound, and well formatied content with ease. The many templates included can be customized to align with your other visual content and they are very easy to use.

Cons

When inserting a sound link if you need to change the size the change box can be hard to manipulate.

### "Great Training and Project Update Tool"

March 3, 2020

5.0

Pros

It is a great resource to be utilized when creating training presentations. It is effective, you can insert pictures, videos, and add animations to engage the trainees. Also, we are able to utilize this software to create project presentations. It is easy to share with team members so they can edit/view the presentation. The ability to share it with the whole company, or just with a select group of people is very convenient.

Cons

When adding images to the presentations it can be difficult to insert them if copying from other presentations. Also, trying to copy a design from another presentation can be difficult sometimes.

### "Worthy competitor to powerpoint"

April 9, 2019

4.0

I'm using slides primarily because others are collaborated with me via it. If left to my own devices I wouldn't have tried it and that would have been a shame. Now I recommend it to my students, it has enough features that they can easily put together what they need and the cloud reliance is all upside: Collaboration and data safety are excellent for these groups.

Pros

Three things make it compelling for me to shift completely to slides. The cost, the ease of collaboration, and that it is integrated with all that is Google. I love that it is free yet exceeds 80-90% of my presentation needs. the real-time collaboration is perfect for working on a multi person presentation particularly if some of those people are off-site. And that it is google based means that I have easy access to everything outside of work, whereas when working through powerpoint I tend to be constrained to the workplace.

Cons

It is occasionally irritating that it is a cloud based app. Occasionally I've been tripped up by a decent network connection being far from accessible. It's possible to plan around this though. Similarly I notice the fact that 3rd party support is still nowhere near the same for slides as it is for Powerpoint

### "Work on your PowerPoint with your team simultaneously!"

August 9, 2019

5.0

Pros

\-can work on the project on the Internet -can work on the project with team members at the same time! -can easily present project by going on the Internet on any computer! -has most of the same features as PowerPoint; can add pictures, videos, change fonts, increase/decrease font size, etc. -easier to use than PowerPoint because of the design: simple, less choices (font), less “clutter” all of your presentation options are right in front of you, adding font/table/picture/video. Allows you to focus more on the presentation rather than the look and feel. I think this is more important than having too many features or options because it can take away from the main points of the presentation.

Cons

Some minor features aren’t available or do not work as good as regular PowerPoint, such as, some fonts available on PowerPoint are not available in Slides.

### "The Classic "

March 12, 2021

5.0

Overall, I know there are different programs but this one is a classic. It has been consistent and helpful when navigating to online learning.

Pros

I've used Google slides for years. It has been consistent and safe way to store create, store, and share my slides anywhere. This past year, however, I have used it even more than I could have imagined. It has a lot more features than I knew of. The Add ons is my favorite. Being an educator, I use it daily. I love that I can add on my Nearpod slides and also make it interactive for students. It was a learning curve, at first, but now it is awesome!

Cons

When I give assignments, it is sometimes difficult for students to complete assignments using it because it doesn't always come natural. They often spend way too much time trying to navigate how to do a text box or figuring out how to enter the assignment than they do simply completing it.

### "Solves 90% of slideshow needs"

March 30, 2019

5.0

Pros

It follows the same pattern as all Google productivity tools: it has all the basic features, but no more than the basic features. You will find predefined designs, animations, and most of the tools you expect. The slideshows are portable, as they can be viewed in any browser or the Android and iOS apps. There is a “presenter mode”, which shows the slide personal notes, and can accept comments from the audience.

Cons

The presentation mode uses very small thumbnails for actual slide, even smaller for previous and next slides. This makes the presentation view almost useless. The options for the animations are reduced. For example, you cannot set long times for transitions or animations. This can be a problem if you need an specific effect, or if you use animations a lot. It has been a limitation for me once.

### "Google Slides - Inhancement"

January 25, 2021

5.0

Overall my experience is too good but something more should be better in this application like I could use this application without wifi.

Pros

It is good featured application than others because I can make my presentations better with variety slides for my office, college, university and etc... I used to make my presentation from other software but google slides has so many large option to do my work easy and better than others. It has one more part that google slides is in cloud which is very good option that everyone can use this software anywhere and complete their any kind of presentation.

Cons

The worst thing on this application that my presentation can only save on cloud by wifi. If there is no wifi connection surrounding you, you can not connect with your application. It must need a wifi connection.

### "Excellent for presentations!"

August 12, 2019

5.0

Great. I've used it for a long time and still have no complaints.

Pros

Definitely the ease of use of this software. Google has really outdone itself this time with this application software. I have been able to use this helpful software with all of my presentations and I would not switch my preference of company on this product.

Cons

The one and only issue with google services like this, is that it is completely dependent on the internet, so if there happens to be a case where the internet is down, it prevents you from making any changes to a slideshow.

### "My Favorite Presentation Software"

October 13, 2019

5.0

I have used Google Slides for both school and work and it has served me well. It is reliable and I wasn't afraid of losing unsaved work as it saves your work automatically and lets you know if there is a connection problem.

Pros

I prefer Google Slides to other presentation software such PowerPoint, because it works on the computer / phone / tablet and doesn't have compatibility issues. You can have multiple options for a slide and let the viewer choose which slide they want to proceed to. I love this feature and it comes handy in many scenarios. Multiple people can work on the same presentation at the same time. You don't need to install anything on your computer. So it is very space efficient.

Cons

You need to have internet connection to edit presentations. The styles and themes are very limited. It would be a vast improvement if more design features were added.

### "The easiest way to create and share presentations."

February 11, 2019

4.0

This software has helped me be faster to create presentations. It works on the cloud, you dont need any storage space on the computer meaning you can work remotely.

Pros

It works very easily. Nice looking templates. It works on the cloud and more than 1 person could be working in the same file at the same time.

Cons

The mobile app could be improved. Seems pretty hard to edit even the most basic things of the presentations from the smartphone. The effects are not as good as the ones you can get on Powerpoint.

### "Google Slides - The best alternative for Powerpoint"

July 29, 2019

5.0

I'm able to create quality presentations with Google Slides. It is not difficult to create a professional looking project, and it is hugely beneficial to be able to sign into any computer and edit/present the project.

Pros

I love the functionality of Google Slides. You are able to do pretty much anything Powerpoint can do, with the added functionality of being able to use it anywhere. With powerpoint, the data is saved locally. On Google Slides, you can work on your project anywhere with internet access. It is easy to use too.

Cons

There is not much I don't like about this software. One thing I might mention is the lack of template slides to use. It would be helpful to have more templates for different projects so you are not starting everything from scratch.

### "Log in to your document at anywhere"

February 9, 2021

5.0

At the present, world is moving to work in online to do their work easily and quickly. Time is the most valuable thing for everyone. So google slides is also one of ways of doing their presentation work easily and quickly.

Pros

you can log in to your presentation at anywhere or any time with internet connection. Protection also good, it saves file automatically if you are in online. If you have to do a group project in this pandemic situation, this is the most useful application to do it perfectly. You can share it with your group members and do it together. Me too have this experience. So I recommend this for all you.

Cons

You have to connect with internet in order to log in to your document. If your internet connection is poor you data may be lost. It is a negative side of google slides. If you are with stable internet connection there is no issue to complain.

### "Google Slides & Collaboration Features"

February 6, 2024

4.0

Pros

The most beneficial feature in Google slides in my opinion is the ability to work with other users in real time. Once the slide presentation is shared you can see even remotely what others are adding and can collaborate by using the comment feature.

Cons

Like most software, there is a cost with Google products to use all of the Applications they have in their application suite and online storage space is limited without purchasing more space.

### "Great presentation software"

August 9, 2019

4.0

We really love Google Slides because we can work together on presentations and everyone has the same version. Regarding versioning, there is the option to name a version for future reference. We can work offline and online without a hassle. The support is great and 24/7 available.

Pros

\- Collaboration on presentations - Offline capabilities without the hassle - Reuse slides in the same or other presentations (and update them in one go) - Template options - Very easy too use - Ability to write and use - Different people can have different read/write access. - Great support (24/7)

Cons

\- Sometimes load very slowly - When offline certain media does not work - No option to embed logo's etc so we can change it from one central point - Preview in notes is very small

Reason for choosing Google Slides

\- Suits more our requirements - Better value for money - Combination with the other services in G-Suite.
