### "Clear insights with an easy-to-use experience"

July 15, 2025

5.0

Lyssna has been a key tool in our UX/CX studies. It’s allowed us to gather valuable insights quickly and clearly, greatly improving our decision-making process. While there’s room to improve personalization, the product fulfills its purpose effectively.

Pros

\- Intuitive and visually clear interface - Ease of creating and sharing tests - Quick results that support informed decision-making

Cons

\- Some advanced features require better guidance or onboarding - I’d appreciate more customization options for test flows

Switched from

[UXtweak](https://www.capterra.com/p/193026/UXtweak/)[OptimizePress](https://www.capterra.com/p/149011/OptimizePress/)

We decided to switch because we found options more aligned with our current needs. While UXtweak and OptimizePress offered interesting features, their cost-benefit ratio didn’t justify keeping them compared to more flexible, intuitive, and affordable solutions.

### "Best tool for conducting UX research!!"

May 10, 2025

5.0

I love using this tool, and I have had a very positive experience with it overall. It's very easy to use and also very nice to look at.

Pros

I love the user-friendly interface, the helpful and responsive support staff, and I really appreciate how much the product has improved during the time I've used it. You can tell how much the product team cares about this product and it's customers with how thoughtfully it's designed, and how much the support team cares by how available and willing to help out they are. It's beautiful and works well for my team. So far, the AI synthesis for qualitative responses works perfectly for generating insight reports quickly.

Cons

This product is pretty bare bones and is growing very quickly. The only thing I don't like is that there are some limitations within the form builder, and with new features that are put out but these are things that are improved quickly and iterated upon which I love to see.

Switched from

### "Super convenient online user research tool with fast target group access"

March 3, 2026

5.0

With this online survey tool we can improve our website in a structured way, ask for UX feedback quickly, survey potential customers about their needs and in that way improve our online business to create a higher conversion on the website.

Pros

Super convenient online user research tool with fast target group access. Easy to setup UX users tests with or without recordings.

Cons

The costs per respondent are sometimes a bit high, but the quality makes it up good and sometimes it takes a little while to gather the feedback.

### "Solid tool that does what it needs to"

August 11, 2025

3.0

Overall its been ok. It's a solid tool that does what you need if you want to survey or test visuals/interview panelists or send to your own list of people. It doesn't have all the features other tools have but the subscription model means its not expensive to get started with.

Pros

Its easy to set up a study and there are a lot of criteria available for selecting a panel. The pricing is more flexible than other platforms such as Wynter as there is no steep "buy-in" costs which makes Lyssna more accessible if you don't have the budget for a $17k initial subscription.

Cons

There could be more choice in the survey question formats. The job titles to select from in the panel recruitment section seem really random and some obvious job titles seem to be missing. If you need non-english speaking panellists then this can take a while. I had to abandon a French survey due to only being able to recruit 10 people (not worth it) and a German survey has a lead time of over 10 days for 20 people.

### "Quick and easy way to get the pulse of your product"

January 7, 2026

5.0

Pros

Lyssna is quick and easy to use. They have put visible effort into the user experience. The tests you can do are presented as an attractive menu with a short description. These tests can then be easily combined into larger tests, combined with a suite of question types, so you can get further details from the user.

Cons

Despite its many advantages, it is meant for small-scale work and not larger research projects. The ability to source your own participants is useful, but the Lyssna-provided panel can be spotty sometimes, with people who are clicking through as quickly as possible and giving random characters as question answers.

### "One stop shop for usability testing."

February 18, 2025

5.0

Lyssna has been a time and budget saver in my organization. It allows me and my team to do moderated and unmoderated usability testing in one place and easily view the results of the testing so I can more efficiently start analysis - thus helping us create better experiences for our customers.

Pros

I love the flexibility it gives me to create any type of usability test I want. One restriction when doing unmoderated tests is always how confining it is to just show the prototype then ask proceeding questions. Lyssna allows you to combine prototype tests, preference tests, survey questions and more all in one. Saves soooo much of me and my team's time and budget.

Cons

Not so much a dislike, more of an opportunity for an even more helpful feature. I would love some sort of AI analysis tool to help me sort through my results. Especially when asking a lot of qualitative questions it can be hard to sort through the data in the end without reading through every single answer - if there was a way to summarise/analyse the results that would be even better.

Switched from

### "Its doing what it says"

April 15, 2025

3.0

Opening it up I feel a little backed into my type of survey, then try to fit my screener q's to the 4 q max (always challenging). Then organizing the questions. I never feel like its ready, having to leave to complete the figma prototype. Using a placeholder so I can move along with the survey. Once its complete I share it with the product manager, then we share out the internal link.

Pros

Easy to create a simple survey quite quickly. Easy to share with internal stakeholders. Easy to poke around other projects and lean on for inspo.

Cons

Losing work is really easy unfortunately. The UX feels like too much sometimes and I get lost in the UI. I wish there was a clear edit/saved mode.

### "Opportunities for Iranian companies"

May 14, 2025

5.0

I like Lyssna, If there was a better free plan or better pricing or maybe pricing for Iran, Definitely my choice was Lyssna but currently in most cases Maze works better for me, for country like Iran, since the free plan is less limited in comparison to Lyssna

Pros

Supporting Persian Language and Iran as a country

Cons

The result could be more precise, It’s a little bit confusing. Also the free plan is too much limitet in comparison to competitors. And it would be great if tests like First click test could be done with prototype as well. and the last thing is that the pricing is too expensive for a country like Iran.

### "Easy to use, a must for any designer."

October 25, 2024

5.0

It's been my go-to tool for quick turn-around feedback from 'strangers'. I'm able to customise some general panel requirements.

Pros

How easy to use and the options available for different types of surveys and usability tests. Honestly it's one of the easiest tools out there and should be a must for any designer/researcher.

Cons

Credits can add up, but at least it gives you freedom without being constricted to a monthly plan. In the Demographics settings (customising panel recruiting), I wish there was an option of 'all BUT X' so I don't have to select/include several of a demographic's categories just so one is excluded.

### "Anna Kita review"

May 9, 2025

I think it is still the tool for non advanced research - good for surveys and so on. As an experienced UX researcher I find lack of capabilities of the tool especially when conducing unmoderated Usability Testing, Tree test, first-click tests that it is a long way to go.

Pros

Ease of use during combining research and also the way the results are presented. I'm only confused with the usability testing builder.

Cons

Time blokers for studies on pro plan. It shouldn't be orginized this way. That making me not wanting to continue with this tool and I'm going to find the alternative.

### "Great for Research"

October 24, 2024

5.0

Easy to learn and use, had great experiences with their CS team.

Pros

Good features, easy to use, and walks you through the entire process. Easy to recruit users and seamlessly integrates with other platforms like Teams.

Cons

They don't have a feature to send out invites to users that I am recruiting from within the platform. An in-platform CMS would truly be a wholistic solution.

### "Great Product"

March 21, 2025

Very pleasant, the way the participant navigated through the interface was remarkably smooth. There were no frustrating hesitations, no clicking around aimlessly.

Pros

It is very usable and intuitive, so even folks who ain't exactly tech-savvy can pick it up pretty quick. The interface is clean, uncluttered, and just makes sense.

Cons

It doesn\`t support all use cases I need, maby more testing options with native apps that doesn't include just prototype.

### "The most user friendly testing product"

October 15, 2024

5.0

Despite the minor drawbacks, Lyssna has proven to be a valuable tool for conducting user research. The platform's ability to support multiple test types, coupled with its user-friendly features and time-saving capabilities, make it a strong choice for researchers.

Pros

I like the diverse test types, including one-click tests, preference tests, and tree tests, which gives flexibility for different research needs. I like how the templates accelerate the test creation process. Access to a general audience pool with various filters (tech-savviness, device, industry) enables quick and efficient testing. The ability to embed test links into CRM tools simplifies user recruitment and management.

Cons

Setting up prototype tests can be somewhat hard when it comes to Figma link acceptance. The inability to conduct tests directly on live products can limit the realism of the testing experience.

I have had very satisfying experience with the product so far.

Pros

the ease of use and the features that lyssna provide for the users

Cons

what i liked the least was the high price of lyssna. it can be great if they have affordable options as well since not everyone can afford it and also many users are just students or self-employed which would be harder to afford it.

### "Essential tool for User Research"

October 23, 2024

4.0

It was my first experience and I found instructions easy to understand. However a quick demo to run or utilize the program to its core would be great. Also, a quick and accessible tutorials on how to effectively use credits for usability testing would be great.

Pros

Combination of user testing. You can test prototype, run surveys, single clicks and much more. The data we gather is very comprehensive.

Cons

It is not cost effective for students. Also, interactive demo on credit could be very helpful in building project.

Great place to rapidly test your designs

Pros

Detailed targeting of even very hard to find users. Quick turnaround.

Cons

Some tests, especially video recordings with comments, seemed rushed and had low quality answers. But lyssna offered a replacement for these tests. UI could be easier to navigate here and there. But overall it's easy to use.

### "Good but there is room for improvement"

Pros

Easy to apply logic, easy to follow the answers, great that you can export the answers, great that there is integration with figma (but if prototypes are a big bigger they will never load, this is a huge minus), the word cloud,

### "A solid choice for unmoderated testing."

April 12, 2023

5.0

Overall, it's been a good tool to help with unmoderated testing and can help get people who aren't involved in the process more excited.

Pros

UsabilityHub makes unmoderated test pretty easy. It also lets you purchase credits to pay for tests. This can make things simple when you don't do a ton of unmoderated testing, but need to do some.

Cons

I don't have any huge cons. For the price, it's great. I wish they had some more features, but they add more all the time.

### "Quick feedback tool with useful summaries"

October 31, 2019

4.0

I work on interactive media products. We often use usabilityhub to evaluate early designs.

Pros

Ease of use is the main attraction for this tool. Quick feedback from other designers, potential users, or our pool of volunteers is really useful for our interactive designs. It's very easy to convince others a name isn't working by displaying a simple heat map, or showing a list of comments from decent samples of target users.

Cons

Some of the instructions to the test participants are unclear, especially when they need to interact with images. We tend to send instructions to supplement what's on the screen.

### "Great for conducting usability tests"

November 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

UsabilityHub makes it very easy to set up a variety of usability tests online. You can not only see where people clicked but also how long it took them to do so. For multi-step processes tests can be set up to provide a funnel analysis so that you can see how many people successfully completed step 1, 2, etc. If a person clicks in the wrong place they can be prompted to explain why they clicked there, which is very useful information to have.

Cons

I didn't have any cons for this software.

### "Great tool for quick research, amazing customer support."

July 29, 2019

Extremely impressed with UsabilityHub. If your organization is serious about testing frequently UsabilityHub should be part of your toolset.

Pros

The best customer support I have ever experienced with a product. Impressive range of possible ways to test. Easy to learn and use. I have had great honest results from the tests I have done, no bots or automated responses.

Cons

I would like to see them build out their features. Possibly the ability to recruit users for usability tests. Or the ability to let users film themselves while taking the tests so they can we can see their reaction to questions.
