### "Clear insights with an easy-to-use experience"

July 15, 2025

5.0

Lyssna has been a key tool in our UX/CX studies. It’s allowed us to gather valuable insights quickly and clearly, greatly improving our decision-making process. While there’s room to improve personalization, the product fulfills its purpose effectively.

Pros

\- Intuitive and visually clear interface - Ease of creating and sharing tests - Quick results that support informed decision-making

Cons

\- Some advanced features require better guidance or onboarding - I’d appreciate more customization options for test flows

Switched from

[UXtweak](https://www.capterra.com/p/193026/UXtweak/)[OptimizePress](https://www.capterra.com/p/149011/OptimizePress/)

We decided to switch because we found options more aligned with our current needs. While UXtweak and OptimizePress offered interesting features, their cost-benefit ratio didn’t justify keeping them compared to more flexible, intuitive, and affordable solutions.

### "Best tool for conducting UX research!!"

May 10, 2025

5.0

I love using this tool, and I have had a very positive experience with it overall. It's very easy to use and also very nice to look at.

Pros

I love the user-friendly interface, the helpful and responsive support staff, and I really appreciate how much the product has improved during the time I've used it. You can tell how much the product team cares about this product and it's customers with how thoughtfully it's designed, and how much the support team cares by how available and willing to help out they are. It's beautiful and works well for my team. So far, the AI synthesis for qualitative responses works perfectly for generating insight reports quickly.

Cons

This product is pretty bare bones and is growing very quickly. The only thing I don't like is that there are some limitations within the form builder, and with new features that are put out but these are things that are improved quickly and iterated upon which I love to see.

Switched from

[UserTesting](https://www.capterra.com/p/173755/UserTesting/)

### "Platform with lots of ways of testing"

June 3, 2026

4.0

Pros

Quite easy to set up tests and get results quickly. It's easy to preview your tests and send to coworkers to get them to preview/do a run-thru as well.

Cons

The way each test's credits (per user) is calculated is not very clear/transparent. Sometimes I'll have 2 tests, each very similar, but they will differ in credits ever so slightly. This may mess up my budget (although very slightly).

### "Solid tool that does what it needs to"

August 11, 2025

3.0

Overall its been ok. It's a solid tool that does what you need if you want to survey or test visuals/interview panelists or send to your own list of people. It doesn't have all the features other tools have but the subscription model means its not expensive to get started with.

Pros

Its easy to set up a study and there are a lot of criteria available for selecting a panel. The pricing is more flexible than other platforms such as Wynter as there is no steep "buy-in" costs which makes Lyssna more accessible if you don't have the budget for a $17k initial subscription.

Cons

There could be more choice in the survey question formats. The job titles to select from in the panel recruitment section seem really random and some obvious job titles seem to be missing. If you need non-english speaking panellists then this can take a while. I had to abandon a French survey due to only being able to recruit 10 people (not worth it) and a German survey has a lead time of over 10 days for 20 people.

### "Super convenient online user research tool with fast target group access"

March 3, 2026

5.0

With this online survey tool we can improve our website in a structured way, ask for UX feedback quickly, survey potential customers about their needs and in that way improve our online business to create a higher conversion on the website.

Pros

Super convenient online user research tool with fast target group access. Easy to setup UX users tests with or without recordings.

Cons

The costs per respondent are sometimes a bit high, but the quality makes it up good and sometimes it takes a little while to gather the feedback.

### "One stop shop for usability testing."

February 18, 2025

5.0

Lyssna has been a time and budget saver in my organization. It allows me and my team to do moderated and unmoderated usability testing in one place and easily view the results of the testing so I can more efficiently start analysis - thus helping us create better experiences for our customers.

Pros

I love the flexibility it gives me to create any type of usability test I want. One restriction when doing unmoderated tests is always how confining it is to just show the prototype then ask proceeding questions. Lyssna allows you to combine prototype tests, preference tests, survey questions and more all in one. Saves soooo much of me and my team's time and budget.

Cons

Not so much a dislike, more of an opportunity for an even more helpful feature. I would love some sort of AI analysis tool to help me sort through my results. Especially when asking a lot of qualitative questions it can be hard to sort through the data in the end without reading through every single answer - if there was a way to summarise/analyse the results that would be even better.

Switched from

### "Its doing what it says"

April 15, 2025

3.0

Opening it up I feel a little backed into my type of survey, then try to fit my screener q's to the 4 q max (always challenging). Then organizing the questions. I never feel like its ready, having to leave to complete the figma prototype. Using a placeholder so I can move along with the survey. Once its complete I share it with the product manager, then we share out the internal link.

Pros

Easy to create a simple survey quite quickly. Easy to share with internal stakeholders. Easy to poke around other projects and lean on for inspo.

Cons

Losing work is really easy unfortunately. The UX feels like too much sometimes and I get lost in the UI. I wish there was a clear edit/saved mode.

### "Opportunities for Iranian companies"

May 14, 2025

5.0

I like Lyssna, If there was a better free plan or better pricing or maybe pricing for Iran, Definitely my choice was Lyssna but currently in most cases Maze works better for me, for country like Iran, since the free plan is less limited in comparison to Lyssna

Pros

Supporting Persian Language and Iran as a country

Cons

The result could be more precise, It’s a little bit confusing. Also the free plan is too much limitet in comparison to competitors. And it would be great if tests like First click test could be done with prototype as well. and the last thing is that the pricing is too expensive for a country like Iran.

### "Anna Kita review"

May 9, 2025

3.0

I think it is still the tool for non advanced research - good for surveys and so on. As an experienced UX researcher I find lack of capabilities of the tool especially when conducing unmoderated Usability Testing, Tree test, first-click tests that it is a long way to go.

Pros

Ease of use during combining research and also the way the results are presented. I'm only confused with the usability testing builder.

Cons

Time blokers for studies on pro plan. It shouldn't be orginized this way. That making me not wanting to continue with this tool and I'm going to find the alternative.

### "Nice tool, great customer support, some complaints"

February 10, 2025

4.0

Pros

Lyssna has great variety in what types of activities you can organize. It's easy to set something up and the preview works great. The layout is clean and without clutter, allowing you to focus on what you're doing. The price is affordable. Setting up a variation test was easy as well and was a very helpful feature. The customer service is also very helpful and friendly with quick response time.

Cons

The pricing is a bit confusing, especially when you add in the existence of credits and time limits. When self-recruiting, it felt limiting to have to fit my test in a certain time-limit which was based upon the types of questions I was adding to my test. This seemed overly complicated and had me altering my test (changing or removing questions) simply to fit within whatever time-limit they gave me with the plan I was on. I don't like that I couldn't change the layout or branding of the welcome screen. Additionally, when I add an image to the instructions in the survey, it remains very small with wasted space as a colored background around the edges of it while the expand button does not do anything.

### "Experience with Lyssna platform as a UX researcher"

October 21, 2024

4.0

Lyssna has been incredibly responsive and iterative in their product. Every month there is a new feature, product improvement, or feedback taken from users. They are a UX company through and through.

Pros

Easy pay-as-you-go model, free version has a lot of capabilities for moderated testing, great templates for a variety of research methods

Cons

Build for prototype testing, not for live site testing, any unmoderated sessions are limited to ~2 minutes. Anything longer needs a paid subscription. Recording features and other necessary testing features are not implemented yet.

Very pleasant, the way the participant navigated through the interface was remarkably smooth. There were no frustrating hesitations, no clicking around aimlessly.

Pros

It is very usable and intuitive, so even folks who ain't exactly tech-savvy can pick it up pretty quick. The interface is clean, uncluttered, and just makes sense.

Cons

It doesn\`t support all use cases I need, maby more testing options with native apps that doesn't include just prototype.

Pros

Cons

### "The most user friendly testing product"

October 15, 2024

5.0

Despite the minor drawbacks, Lyssna has proven to be a valuable tool for conducting user research. The platform's ability to support multiple test types, coupled with its user-friendly features and time-saving capabilities, make it a strong choice for researchers.

Pros

I like the diverse test types, including one-click tests, preference tests, and tree tests, which gives flexibility for different research needs. I like how the templates accelerate the test creation process. Access to a general audience pool with various filters (tech-savviness, device, industry) enables quick and efficient testing. The ability to embed test links into CRM tools simplifies user recruitment and management.

Cons

Setting up prototype tests can be somewhat hard when it comes to Figma link acceptance. The inability to conduct tests directly on live products can limit the realism of the testing experience.

### "Amazing tool"

November 5, 2019

5.0

Pros

It's quick, flexible and provides great value for the money. I like different test options and the granularity of the testers.

Cons

The tester base is mostly in IT, this skews the responses and a significant part of them provide unsolicited advice instead of performing tests. I wish I could filter the testers based on the industry. Billing is not the most convenient — you have to pay both subscription and per test, which is difficult to explain to management. Admin is not so stellar - multiple users difficulties, I have a difficult time every month when I have to compile a report about expenses to management - this could be simplified.

With UsabilityHub we can quickly understand if our designs, content and navigation hit the mark and quickly optimize them before launch.

Pros

The platform interface is intuitive and process to create user tests is easy. UsabilityHub offers a mix of tests that allow you to get feedback on the clarity of your message or design as well as the inuitiveness of your navigation. Tests can be executed in minutes and feedback comes in fast!

### "User of a free account with UsabilityHub"

November 11, 2020

5.0

UsabilityHub is fun and helpful in conducting all sorts of testing. It is easily accessible to your own test group by sharing a link.

Pros

I find all the various testing formats to be really helpful. If you're unsure of how to test something, UsabilityHub is pretty good at helping you figure out which test will work best for your product.

Cons

I'm on the free account, so there are a lot of options that are not available to me, and I can only customize my testing so much. some of the navigation is a bit "hidden." The share link is not immediately accessible once a test is up and running and ending the test is also a bit out of the way. I think it would be an improvement if those options could be on the testing dashboard.
