Pros: Hands down, the easiest merchant processor to integrate into Gravity Forms or WooCommerce - I have to imagine it integrates just as easy with other popular tools, but my experience is limited to Gravity Forms and WooCommerce. Within Stripe itself, navigating is intuitive and easy with very friendly report tools. Looking up transactions is easy and may be search by name, email address, transaction id, and even partial data (like billing address, product, etc). Full and partial refunds are also very easy to manage.

The reporting is especially helpful as it goes back in detail for as long as you've been a customer (so, I have data going back 3 years all readily available). I also appreciate the popularity of Stripe and how common third-party integration has become - in my case into AgileCRM and Freshbooks.

Lastly, they have an amazing free iPhone app. Very useful for when you're on the road and you can basically do everything from the app that you could do from their desktop dashboard.

Cons: I have never won a dispute - no not one - and the process seems entirely automated. While I have only had four disputes in the past 12 months, all of which were admitted mistakes on the customer's part, I submitted emailed conversations with the client where they admitted error, and I still lost. Since then, I've been told it's best to get the client to contact their credit card company to rescind the dispute but it was frustrating that the process is so automated that it seems not to favor the merchant.

So, with that in mind, if you ever have a dispute, work with the customer to get them to rescind it.

Overall: Most of our business transactions are processed through Stripe and we've set Stripe up for clients who require online merchant processing. By far the easiest and most straight-forward merchant processor to setup for online processing.

Pros: What I like most about it is that it just works and I rarely have to mess with it. It's one of those things that you just need to have if you ever want to accept payments online, so you have to decide who you're going to pick as your payment processor. Stripe is high tech, and integrates with my CRM (full disclosure though, it ONLY integrates with Stripe. Does not support others). I know that Stripe provides a top of the line product, and I have not had any issues with it that I can recall.

Cons: It's quite expensive. The transaction rates are not at all among the lowest. If you want to try and negotiate lower rates, you need to start processing some big numbers. Right now, my CRM only works with Stripe. I couldn't shop around from competitors even if I wanted to. So, I'm kind of stuck with Stripe. Luckily, I'm stuck with a good product. But, it comes at a price. When I do the math, I spend a few thousand dollars a year just in processing fees. If I was able to, I probably would shop for a cheaper transaction rate, because Stripe has a lot of features I simply don't need that I'm still paying for.

Pros: Stripe integrates in to nearly any shopping cart or invoicing system that I have used. If an integration is lacking, the documentation is very clear. In most cases, performing the integrations is completely hands-off and literally only requires your username and password. By managing these integrations with auto-config scripts, it takes the hard work out of getting set up for payments.

Cons: Stripe is super careful about certain types of credit card transactions. If you do any sort of volume, you will likely get a transaction or two flagged by their review team. This usually just requires a little more info and then the transaction clears in a few days.

One other major issue is the transaction fees tend to be on the higher end of normal. You can get much better rates through an Authorize.net account, but those carry other monthly fees absent in Stripe's offering.

Overall: Stripe has been our main online payment processor for the last three years. There have been very few hiccups or issues. We receive our payments within 48 hours most of the time. Integration is easy, account setup is easy, there are no monthly fees. It is a no-brainer.

Pros: We were attracted to Stripe because of their extremely thoughtful and well-documented API. Stripe typically works as you'd expect as a developer interacting with their API (no small feat), and we're often pleasantly surprised when we go looking for some new feature and find out it already exists. Stripe's support is also top-notch, and the odd time we're unable to accomplish something ourselves we've usually been able to get there with the help of support. The product evolves quickly and keeps getting better.

Cons: There's not much to complain about with Stripe the biggest pain points are usually with things that are somewhere outside of Stripe's control. For example, the process involving customer chargebacks is a bit confusing and rigid, but this is mostly dictated by the requirements of the card issuers Stripe is dealing with.

Overall: Stripe allowed us to get up and running processing payments quickly, and their support has helped us get past any problems we've run into along the way.

Pros: Easy to use and quick to get started. The platform is easy to navigate through. The search function is superb

Cons: We are stuck with using stripe as our primary software only has stripe api connection. that part works flawlessly - however on the other side of the transaction there is the accounting side. the issue is stripe groups multiple transactions together and then deposits them into you bank as a single transaction. Xero does not then allow these transactions to be easily split up in the same way they came in ...The API seems to have severe limitations. Why it is in 2018 that we need third party software to identify whats happening with our credit card merchant payments? Stripe and Xero are 2 of the biggest and supposedly cutting edge softwares out there and yet they can't seem to find a way to talk to one another in a way that allows proper reconciliation. Between my book-keeper and 2 lots of software I probably spend x3 what the Xero subscription costs, just keeping on top of this very basic tedious task of reconciling stripe transactions. Totally ridiculous and enough to make me actively seek alternatives.

Pros: I use stripe for payments its really awesome interface, has tons of payment options which can be configured and has a lot of great options for things that even paypal does not have i.e. Stripe gives you the option to remind customers who are on recurring plans that a payment is coming up - since we have yearly subscriptions this is nice since it helps avoid disputes after someone forgets they signed up months ago. Stripe has this built in with various options like 7 days before etc. for Paypal (which is also great) you would need IT to custom code something like that.

Cons: Its hard to say because I honestly really like everything about Stripe from the dashboard to customer service to options for accepting payment

I guess I wish ACH fees were cheaper (through Quickbooks they are free)

My biggest complaint would be that its hard to configure a lot of the extra payment options it requires a lot of IT skills but I must say that is probably for security reasons so it cannot be blamed on stripe

Overall: I use stripe as my payment processor. Additionally, I just started a new business which had a complex structure because my business partner is in the UK - I used Stripe Atlas which for filled out a few hundred dollars worth of forms and took care of a ton of the many documents needed. I must say that you still must consult your lawyer but while LegalZoom has a great attorney option, Stripe Atlas kills them in features and pricing.

Pros: Before Stripe, we used complicated payment gateway+merchant account solutions that required PCI compliance, had rudimentary recurring billing options and were a headache to setup. Stripe makes accepting payments easy. Stripe's reporting features are better than most payment gateway providers and the integration options are so easy and flexible that a developer who has never worked with Stripe before can get a simple payment system setup in a few hours.

Cons: I'd like to see an improved Coupon system in Stripe in the future. Right now coupon codes created in Stripe are for recurring subscriptions only and cannot be used on one off purchases. This requires that whenever we need this feature, we need to build our own coupon system and explain to product owners that the coupons in Stripe will not work for them in their situation.

Cons: The only con is that handling chargebacks can be cumbersome if you run into them. Especially doing ecommerce work, we find that a lot of customers will simply do a chargeback instead of communicating with us to ask for a refund. Stripe's UI for chargebacks and disputes is good, but can be confusing to track the status of previous ones you've responded to.

Overall: I've been using Stripe as our sole payment processor for over a year now and it has been nothing but great! Their plug and play integrations (Kickstarter, Celery, Shopify, etc.) has made it simple for us to scale our Kickstarter project to a full-fledge ecommerce site. Payment processing is unbelievably simple, and the added benefit of Stripe's customer tracking makes it easy to see conversion and retention rates. Their API integrations and documentation are also stellar and has afforded us the ability to do custom integrations where needed. The analytics platform they offer is basic, but I appreciate the ability to see some barebones metrics from time to time as I'm making a quick glance - we use Baremetrics for our in-depth sales analytics.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're doing online sales, this platform will be your best friend!

Pros: We are a small service-based business with close to 100 clients receiving services in a given 2-week invoice cycle. Previously, we either had to collect checks one at a time or go through our bank's payment request system. With the latter, there was no integration with the platform we use to run our business and generate invoices, so we had to individually request payment from each of our clients, one at a time.

The platform we use to run our business then linked up with Stripe to enable our clients to pay via credit card. Not only has it exponentially increased the efficiency of our invoicing process, but our clients are happier! There was nothing we needed to set up on the back-end either. We just process our invoices with our platform and Stripe handles the rest instantaneously.

Cons: The delay between when we successfully charge a client's credit card and when the money ultimately ends up in our bank account could be shortened, but it's relatively standard for the industry.

The fees could be reduced, but again, standard for the industry and also well worth it for the benefit we receive by using Stripe. The time we save with Stripe is worth much more than the fees we pay.

Overall: Massive time savings, efficiency and organization with our small business' invoicing/payments process.

Pros: Stripe is not only reasonably priced but has powerful integrations with some of my favorite software like Gravity Forms (Wordpress). I've used it to make payment forms, donation forms, subscriptions (it does recurring payments) and more. One client needed something that could print shipping labels and it seems to seamlessly integrate with ShipRobot to do this, he was paying Paypal for this functionality (to take payments directly on his website).

Cons: The webhooks and other integrations can be a bit difficult to use. Note: don't forget to add other users BEFORE turning on two factor authentication or else the person helping you may have to call you to get that code for their access.

Overall: Online processing that integrates with everything I need it to and then some.

Pros: Very easy set up when referred by a 3rd partner. Security and data protection compliance is built in by design. Much cheaper transaction costs when compared to the main players and particularly Paypal

Cons: The payments to our bank account take too long, over a week usually. Any customer refunds are 'bundled' together with other customer payments resulting in a block payment to our bank which takes a bit of reconciling. But once you understand this and learn how to navigate the system its fairly straight forward

Overall: We were refered to Stripe by our CRM system 'Jobber'. They both made the integration extremely easy for a total non techy. I would imagine if you didn't have this joint relationship and wanted to use Stripe as a stand alone product you would need to pay someone to get it all hooked up behind the scenes

Pros: Stripe was one of the first large scale payments company to support BitCoin payments. This tells me that they are an forward looking platform ready to embrace changes happening in payments world. Apart from BitCoin, they support Alipay, WeChatpay ,Apple Pay and other payment platforms popular in different parts of the world. It makes it easy to start accepting payments from any method using Stripe so that businesses are able to maximize their reach of customers.

It also offers a single dashboard with cutting edge analytics support for all the payment platforms.

Cons: Lack of telephone support is the biggest concern for me. They have an active twitter account to receive complaints but that doesn't seem to be the best option to reach customer care in case of a panic situation.Also, they are very slow in responding to their emails and supporting the merchants during the process of chargebacks. Also, their fraud detection and prevention algorithm is not as robust as that of PayPal's and generates a lot of false positives affecting the business.

Pros: I love stripe because the app syncs with my Massagebook program. Making my business transactions organized and easy to keep track of. Payments dont take long to show in my bank account. It's affordable since they only charge per swipe. No hidden fees. I can also hold credit cards for appointments safely and makes it easy for people to adhere to my cancellation policy.

Cons: I just wish it synced a little better with massagebook and could access client profiles so I don't have to make two separate profiles for the same customer. That way I could easily save and sync payment information. I also wish we had a better Point of sales set up with massagebook and they could also give an option to purchase a small printer for receipts. In business I look forward to more streamlined, no fuss easy to use and fast checkout experiences.

Pros: I really like the dashboard and the user experience, very smooth. First, you can have a look at all the recent transactions and check immediately their details and status (approved, rejected, the reason...). Then, you can have a look at all the disputes, and submit evidence if need in a very clear interface. Also, the features of payment are really strong : you can refund partial/total amounts very easily, you can check all the transaction details thanks to the Dashboard page of the transaction.

Cons: It has some drawbacks. It can be considered as a bit pricey: my business is charged 3% of each transaction on average. That's okay as it's a good online payment system but it's an amount of money and sometimes PayPal can seem more interesting. Besides, when you refund a customer, it usually takes 5-10 days to hit the bank account, which is so long! I wish it could be improved...

Pros: I switched from Braintree to Stripe because Stripe offers instant debit card payouts for merchants, and as far as I know, no one else offers that feature.

Stripe has pretty much any feature you could want from a payment provider, and Stripe is generally straightforward to setup and use.

Cons: The documentation can be very frustrating, as there are many things that aren't documented in the API docs. Most of my complaints using Stripe come from trying to figure out how to do something simple, and neither customer support or the API docs were useful in figuring out how to do it.

Customer support can also be obtuse. They generally seem poorly educated about their own product/terminology, and when something isn't working, they're rarely helpful in giving insights as to why. Luckily, I haven't had a huge number of problems, but when I have, customer support hasn't necissarily been helpful.

Pros: It just works, 100% of the time for me so far. In 3ish years at this point, it's never failed or had an issue unlike Paypal, which constantly caused problems for us. I am a huge Stripe fan and very happy user. When I took my business online I signed up for Stripe and have never looked back.

Cons: I pay a little more in merchant fees than I want to, and I miss clients sending me money without having that extra fee, especially when the invoice is higher but cost of doing business is worth it. I think they could use a different scale for higher ticket items. I have my high priced clients send me a check now as when I receive a $10k payment, I prefer to not have to give that extra percentage up. On the smaller items I'm less concerned.

Pros: It was simple to set up, and at no time in the last three years have I run into problems with Stripe. I won't name names except to say it rhymes with Paypal and the issues I have with them are never ending and I have yet to have an issue with Stripe. They handle payments like a champ, no matter which country they come from and they've never frozen my account for some silly reason. It just keeps doing what it's supposed to and I'm grateful for that.

Cons: Maybe the reporting could be a little better? But not by much, there's just often a bunch of data and codes I don't understand when I look at payments for example. I would prefer not to see them unless they are relevant to me knowing where the numbers are at.

Pros: Stripe is extremely easy to use for payments on a website. They also have a great featureset like managing subscriptions and some shared customer data across sites (like if someone has used the stripe widget elsewhere they may not need to re-enter their information so they love it.

Cons: The Best Payment API*

The asterisk belongs here because I would say if you NEED Paypal support then it may be better to go with an almost-but-not-quite-as-good-competitor (which happens to include Paypal right out of the box). Honestly Stripe is so nice and good that it may be worth it to use it and a separate Paypal solution if you really need both.

Overall: It's been a dream on my service. The admin panel, the documentation, the library, it's all been fantastic.

Pros: Stripe is reliable and intuitive. I get the impression I could do more with this software than I currently do, however it works for the bare minimum my team needs it for. We have Stripe connected to our online donate page, where it processes one-time and recurring (monthly) donations.

I like the reports we can turn out on the back-end, though they recently changed some features. It's relatively easy for us to keep track of our monthly profits but it would be great if the reports were slightly more easily accessed, or exported in a more visual form.

Cons: It has its own language - the reports export to excel in one format, and since we inevitable have to use multiple platforms to gather all our donation information, we have to live with the fact that all reports will look different. That being said, I've found that Stripe's reports are the most confusing, coded, and least visual compared to other platforms.

Overall: It's been positive - I would recommend it, but we only use it for a limited functionality. I wish the reporting mechanisms were clearer and it was more non-profit friendly.

Pros: Stripes API allows the merchants services to be easily integrated into ecommerce platforms. We currently use them in conjunction with our opencart site and it has been working flawlessly. The merchant transaction fee is fair and considered pretty average compared to other competitors. Payments are also deposited fairly quickly into bank account (typically within 1-2 business days). A great tool for offering customers other payment options on website and runs quite smoothly.

Cons: Dashboard can look a little messy and reports are not very intuitive.

Overall: Great value and API provides seamless integration into websites. Overall, it has been working well for us and has been indispensable for our web orders.

This integrates seamlessly into my ecommerce site with no issues.

Pros: Stripe easily integrates with Woocommerce and with a click of a button it can add Apple Pay and Google Pay to your website. These features make for such a quick checkout experience. One feature I greatly appreciate is the fraud alert which protects our business from possible chargeback fraud. The system will reject or warn you of transactions that have a history of fraud. The customer service is excellent and if you ever have a chargeback issue they quickly notify you and have a process to help provide documentation to the disputers financial institution. Moreover, deposits are received fast and their fees are reasonable.

Cons: It does not automatically integrate with my accounting platform Xero Accounting. The ability to have same day transfers to your bank account would be something I would pay a small fee for.

Comments: Overrated and a horrible value for your money

Cons: Our software chose Stripe as our dedicated payments processor because they promised superior customer service and competitive rates for our clients, but this was a mirage.Stripe abandoned us once we selected them as our payments processor.The Sales team disappeared once we signed a contract and support was limited to emails and chat - absolutely pathetic. Stripe nickled and dimed our clients and our company to death. During the sale process, Stripe promised to meet our beat our clients' rates, but in actuality, they completely screwed us. Clients of ours that were processing over per month were quoted rates + transaction fee. Stripe treated everyone of our clients as if they were a new business with no sales history. We have since abandoned Stripe for CardConnect - this is the best decision we have ever made!

Overall: I've been using Stripe for years now, after having a very negative experience with PayPal and it's fees are very competitive. No Sign up fees, No monthly fees, only transaction fees.

The best thing about Stripe is that it's very reliable and the Transfers to your bank account are Fast!

The fees are 2.9% per transaction + $0.30 (same as paypal) but even better is that you can see who your payments are coming from - the customer's name, email, what card they used, etc. basically everything you are supposed to see when you process a transaction (paypal hides all that information from you).

Pros: This was easy to incorporate into our website using Weebly. The amounts from our shopping basket automatically go into Stripe, which processes our payments from customers. You can also create payments from inside the dashboard for telephone orders (taking down the credit card details). You can accept payments in almost any currency, which is exchanged to your local currency.

Cons: The fees are not the lowest. Also, it takes around 1-2 weeks for the payment to reach our account after the order has been placed, it would be nice if this time was shorter.

Overall: This runs our e-commerce website payment gateway, allowing us to accept credit card payments from anywhere in the world.

Pros: The two biggest things that stand out for my use of Stripe is how fast, easy and affordable the system is, as well as how effective it is. From signup to actually being ready to take payments took only minutes, and bank accounts for deposits were confirmed in just a day or so. More over, the API system is very friendly and easy to use if you can't find an available add-on to work with Stripe. The most handy part I have found is the option to have Stripe's payment pages remain hosted and secured on their website. Most of the time this requires a redirect to another site entirely, however Stripe uses a small payment modal box that seamlessly integrates into your site, allowing the customer's data to remain secure AND to let me focus on operating the business rather than dealing with PCI Compliance - because Stripe handles all of that.

Cons: I don't really have a whole lot of negative things to say about Stripe. If there is anything negative it would be that sometimes it is a bit hard to find what I am looking for on their website, so that could be improved. The answers are there, you just have to dig.

Pros: Stripe is on the rise for sure they are now my go to option whenever I build a clients website or even on my own e-commerce store. You get your money sent directly to your account without having to initiate the transaction or have it sitting only to draw a different transaction fee just to withdraw the money. Its now available across all the major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Bigcommerce and Woocommerce for Wordpress my personal favorite is the Shopify integration.

Cons: I would like it if they had a local option like something where you could swipe the card like if you set up a pop up shop or something.

Pros: I like how immediate refunds are sent back to the card. It makes things really easy and it's great leverage when angry customers come yelling about how they don't see the refund because their bank simply hasn't processed it yet.

Cons: There's a few glitches that sometimes occur with failed charges when the customer updates their card: double charges and subscription switches, but that's about it! Also, some pages within the account display different coupons, or don't display all of them. I just learned last week that you can use the search tool to pull up coupons you might not see on the list, but are actually there!

Comments: I have a squarespace site with an ecommerce store and since Stripe is integrated into Squarespace, I decided to use them as my payment processor. They have been excellent and deposit money into my account fast. I am also surprised at how Stripe manages to stay on top of all the trends in ecommerce such as offering subscription payment services and even having integration with Facebook Stores and Twitter Shopping.

Pros: Easy to use Manages to constantly come out with new features Keeps up to date with new payment trends like Apple Pay, Subscription services, Twitter/Facebook shopping.

Cons: Support is email only, no phone support

Recommendations to other buyers: Use Stripe for your site, I doubt you'd be able to find another processor as good as them.

Pros: Pricing is competitive and better than most others I found - while they're not the cheapest, their feature set more than makes up for it, so they're the best value option for my needs.

Website integration with Woocommerce is simple and works great.

Support is amazing and respond quickly with helpful info if you ever need to contact them.

Cons: Mobile apps are limited/non-existent. There is an iOS app to display dashboard data, but no official app for Android and the third-party apps are mostly junk or make my eyes bleed or both.

Pros: Stripe is very powerful, and therefore fully customisable for any business to create the way they want the payments and subscription processes they way. I like how we can theme our brand and site to look however we like, so that a user doesn't feel like they are being taken away from our website when purchasing.

Cons: There is a steep learning curve for Stripe, and you really need confidence and some good coding skills (or coding team) to really make the most of Stripe's systems. Plus the lack of live chat/phone support is very very frustrating! But a bit of commitment and hard work goes a long way and there are a number of forums to rely upon for support when email support is normally 24 hours or just under in terms of response time.

Pros: Stripe is a well known brand name, most people are comfortable processing payments via this method and their security is top notch. It's easy to set up plans, recurring payments, coupons and refunds. I'm not in accounting, but I have full access to act as one when it comes to helping customers out with billing issues.

Cons: Sometimes it's a bit hard to set up integrations that play nice with Stripe, for the most part it's been acceptable and hence it's not a deal breaker.

Pros: I love the dashboard where I get a quick look at my overall totals and my daily transactions. I love how easy it is to process a refund for the occasional customer who doesn't read our instructions.

Cons: I like least was no phone number to contact them. But you have just about everything you would need to process most issues with them.

Overall: Stripe has freed up my life of tracking payments and deposits and refunds. Now all transactions go straight through my bank and the supporting documents are from a third party vendor that are east to tie in to the transaction.

Pros: This is the best and easiest to use API to process payments and use for billing. Love the new Billing product which allows for all different types of recurring and single product payments. Also, there are many third-party applications that support and integrate with Stripe. It means that you can probably find or create the solution you need for your business.

The processing fees are pretty standard and decent.

Cons: Unless you are using a third-party app you will need a developer to get the most out of this service though there are some basic interfaces provided.

Overall: I can easily get setup and collect payments in no time. Fees are reasonable and they provide the most features to process payments that competitors so Stripe allows us to generate more revenue. Stripe has many different ways to accept payment from standard credit cards to Apple pay support so the biggest benefit has to be the availability for customers to pay us.

Pros: The interface is clean and for the most part, easy to navigate. It's easy to generate full or partial refunds, update information, or generate additional invoice copies to different email addresses. Sometimes you have to dig for what you're looking for, but as long as you click around enough, you'll be likely to find it easily.

Cons: I understand, but don't love, that email is the only way to contact them. I don't need phones, but live chat would be helpful. Response time has been between 24 and 48 hours - I would hope that without phones or live chat, response time would go town to several hours given that billing issues can be time sensitive. I wish credit card decline issues had more detail - but that probably has more to do with the banks than with Stripe!

Overall: Great for a SaaS billing plugin - we're able to process our customer payments using Stripe, which makes everything easier.

Pros: I use Stripe via integration with Simple Practice, a therapy management system. I've been using it for about 3 years without issue and forget about it most of the time. I charge clients, the money appears in my account--that simple. Pros: I love the way you can build customized but very turnkey payment processes and solutions on their platform. You can have very simple and fast mobile versions of payment processing, or you can have more elaborate use cases. Whatever solution you need Stripe's platform will let you bring their technology to bear to make sure your business gets paid fast and efficiently.

Cons: Regarding the software, I really have no complaints. I suppose a more robust set of reporting features would be useful because as is the reporting is pretty basic. That's really the only complaint I have, if you can even it call it one.

Pros: I love the check payment option when invoicing with Stripe. It has the potential to save the company a lot of money if a customer elects to use a check to pay.

Cons: Payments through stripe are incredibly slow. A payment that would be processed in 1-2 days with a competitor takes a minimum of 3-4 days with Stripe. Check payments are even slower, sometimes taking 1-2 weeks to process. The software is also not as easy to navigate as competitors.

Pros: We use Stripe to accept online bookings through certain platforms. I appreciate that, once set up, Stripe seems to do most of the work, and integrates with other platforms easily so that it just kind of does its thing without anyone having to pay attention to it. I'm not deeply familiar with all of the features of Stripe, but it seems to do its job well.

Cons: Like I said, it tends to do its job without us having to pay much attention to it. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why when an issue does come up that requires investigation it usually seems like my team doesn't really know how Stripe works. It's not necessarily self-explanatory or intuitive. Getting set up was very easy, and we have never had any issues so far.

Recommendations to other buyers: Compared with any other service like Paypal or Braintree, Stripe wins. Gocardless is a little cheaper, but Stripe has no direct debit guarantee which is great.

Pros: Prior to Strip, I was a Braintree customer. Braintree was a really simple payment processing platform. However, setting up payment processing still took weeks, and many support calls. With Stripe we were up in days and didn't have to talk with any support reps.

Cons: You get what you get, and can't negotiate price. This typically isn't an issue for new startups, but if you run a mature business in a mature market with razor thin margins it could be an issue.

Pros: Highly reliable payment processing while keeping things simple (like pricing, workflows, etc). If you're a small to medium sized company, Stripe should be the default choice for payment processing and have a very good reason if not.

Cons: We've had two customers dispute charges, thus far (neither were valid) but submitting the correct information and documentation through the platform was a bit clunky. For the first one, some of the documents didn't upload and therefore it was rule in favor of the client, yet we did not receive an error message, it still allow us to submit and we did not receive an automated email saying that some of the documents weren't uploaded or processed correctly.

Pros: I use Stripe for my credit card processing on my Squarespace eCommerce site. The platform is simple and straightforward. I can easily view my transactions and the breakdown of fees. I can also see if there are any declined transactions and it will provide the reason for the failure. The processing fees are pretty comparable to other options in the market. It works seamlessly with Squarespace, which makes transactions easy.

Cons: My biggest complaint about Stripe is how long it takes to get your money. I also use Square for credit card transactions and I always get my money the next day. Stripe can take 3-4 days to send my money to my bank. I also would love to get notifications when credit cards are declined. I had a regular customer try to order and she didn't realize it hadn't gone through, so she was awaiting her order. If I had seen the payment failure, I could have reached out to her to resolve the issue.

Pros: I love how easy this software is to set up payments. I typically get paid via Stripe and I love layout of the app and it's ease of use.

Cons: There's nothing I don't like about this software.

Overall: I've been using Stripe for 2 years now and it's an easy, convenient way to keep track of my payments. It synces up with the scheduling/ invoicing app I use (MyMusicStaff) and directly deposits the money into my bank account within days! Super convenient and user friendly.

Cons: - Breaking out of the subscription workflow to customise invoices can sometimes require a bit of integration work.

- When we first began using Stripe we needed to build invoice generation but now this has been partly built in to Stripe. There are add ons available by 3rd parties to generate 'pretty' invoices for clients.

- Had an experience where Stripe removed some functionality from the Dashboard that our accounts team were using which meant we had to write further integrations to support internal teams.

Pros: Stripe is the absolute easiest way to request and acquire payments from customers. They make it so seamless to send invoices and there is never any hassle on our end or the customers end when trying to make a payment. They also integrate with Shopify so easily that running any type of online store is just that much easier. Hassle free and they also have a very responsive customer service team if you have any types of questions.

Cons: Honestly, I can't say there is anything bad about it. This software is so straight forward and easy it is almost impossible to claim there is an issue. There are fees too but that is to be expected for any of these platforms.

Pros: I love that the money received on my website is deposited into my account within 24 hours. When I have used other products there was a longer wait time. Having funds immediately available has helped me to manage my payables in a timely manner.

Cons: There is always fees for processing, however, I feel that the fees that Stripe charges are fair and reasonable. The transactions are safe, but I would recommend changing passwords often and never using a debit card connected to any online financial account.

Overall: Stripe is easy to set up and safe for online transactions. Stripe alerts me when I've received a payment and helps me to manage my business. Stripe easy to incorporate into your online shopping cart and they have terrific customer support.

Cons: Payout take forever if you aren't meeting a certain threshold. Was told 2-day payout would commence after a trial period of 7-day payout, then told I needed minimum monthly threshold, then told about dispute counts... Basically the answer changed everytime I followed up to get 2-day payout. Many others got that after the first couple of transactions. Very frustrating and will likely change to another service. Unless you want to wait 7-10 business days for your money, I'd recommend going elsewhere...

Pros: Based on how our company has set up to generate revenue via transactions, it is great that we are able to not surface this transaction to the end user and it is bundled within the whole transaction. After a payment has been completed, Stripe will take their percentage of the transaction and send our percentage to our balance and then distributing the rest to the intended receiver accounts.

Cons: Everything is possible, however there is no great off the shelf features that you can avail of and your development team is required to develop everything to meet your requirements. We use PayPal and there is quite a lot of off the shelf features that we can avail of but with Stripe there is a massive overhead to introduce this.

Overall: So far it has been good but there were quite a lot more teething problems with introducing this to enable us to obtain a higher transaction rate. This has been at a cost to my company but we do see the relationship and the product growing so it may turn out to be great investment in time and effort as predicted.

Pros: It was very easy to link up with my in-house reservation software. I very much appreciate the upfront data they provide, including when you are receiving a payment as well as transactions and the net amount we will receive.

Cons: There is no one to call when you have a setup question. Sometimes, you need immediate answers and I had no luck in getting them. Also, they need an app that you can charge cards from. Currently you can only view your dashboard. I have to go a round about way to make it work.

Cons: They hold your money for over 7 days. When you've "used" them for a while, you supposedly can ask for an updated disbursement schedule. But, customer service doesn't have any control over who is allowed to go to a 2-day disbursement. If you don't run a lot of money through them, they won't let you switch to a quicker payment schedule and can't tell you why. When you ask questions with support, they give you a run-around. Not worth it when other processors charge the same rate and disburse funds faster

My experience with Stripe has been so much smoother than my previous experiences with Paypal and similar payment processing providers.

The fee Stripe charges is very competitive in today's market by all means. It is accessible from both PC and mobile, which makes accepting payment a very smooth experience. Information is updated in real time and analytics are present within the account.

Cons: I had some minor issues setting some payment processes up initially when start with Stripe, but their customer service reps were useful and answered my questions promptly.

Comments: I subsequently closed my account and continue to use Square and PayPal, which have no similar ridiculous policies.

Pros: This integrates with almost anything, Zapier, IFTTT, Integromat, Invoicing Software, etc; which makes it very convenient. Features are good if you are a developer.

Cons: Upon creating an account, I experienced a long wait period for my account to be approved (about 2 weeks) mostly due to an oversight by the team to activate my account. Then, I was put on a 'high risk' status even though my profession and sales were in the LOW risk category. I also provided all of the required identification and documents to be a 'low risk' status user, however after a few more days they realized this and I was deemed low risk. That was not all, I was required to have ALL payments, regardless of method and amount, go through an extended hold time until I made consistent sales, which I believe was a 4-6 month period. The funds were held for about 7 days, which was not possible for my business. I emailed, chatted and spoken with many employees to try to bypass but to no avail. When I realized that it would be held for 7 days, I refunded a customer in order to pay an alternative method, however, I learned after doing so that the 'processing fees' couldn't be refunded and I was charged the full fees to process.

Pros: The Api is easy to use and you are up and running in a couple of days. Stripe makes it really easy to add secure checkout to your website even if you don't have SSL. The ability to quickly add a the ability to accept credit cards with zero coding is amazing. Once we got up and running we quickly started to use their well though out API to integrate into a custom dashboard.

No Non-sense payment processing. GREAT DOCUMENTATION.

Cons: There are no Cons to using Strip they could always lower fees but other than that a great developer focused company.

Overall: Fast setup and gretat docs perfect for developers.

Pros: I welcome guests from all over the world, so I like that Stripe supports so many credit cards from so many places. It's also a good rate from what I was able to compare.

One thing they do that's extremely useful is allowing the processing without needing a CVC code or a postal code. I work with some booking companies that don't provide that information and Stripe worked just fine so I could welcome those people.

Cons: I wish they allowed you to create invoices and customize the way the receipts look and what's on them. I like to know what my customers will be seeing. Maybe those features exist and I just haven't found them yet though.

Pros: For a long time I was only using PayPal, which is rather expensive. Then I heard about Stripe. Today, whenever it is possibly, for all of my online sale / online shops I am using Stripe.

Cons: In Germany many people prefer "paying by deductions from your bank account". This possibility not yet exists in Stripe, as far as I know.

Overall: Because Stripe takes just a small percentage of your sales I am using stripe for every payment possible.

I have used Stripe as a payment gateway for my E-commerce stores over the years.

Pros: Like many payment gateways, Stripe integrates easily into the major E-commerce solutions on the market. When launching my first online store, Stripe was a great solution to accept credit cards securely. The platform is very user-friendly and offers easy reporting so you can stay on top of your books. The credit card processing rates for Stripe are industry standard.

Cons: Depending on your preferred way to get paid, other solutions have emerged over the past year or so that offer more payment options for customers. If you're looking to offer customers other way to pay, such as Paypal, you may be able to find a better solution.

Pros: Very easy to use and easily integrates with many online stores, such of the Go Daddy online store system.

Cons: It would be nice if they provided more assistance when dealing with a charge back when a customer thinks that their credit card was used in a fraudulent transaction.

Overall: Stripe provides nonprofits in the US with a 501(c)3 designation with the IRS with discount transaction rates which can save hundreds of $$ a year over other payment processors.
