Fantastic, I have never needed to shop around - but when I do Stripe still looks like the best option. It suits my small creative organisation perfectly. I'd love to see more features added for access control and multiple users, as well as automated commission calculations for my team.

Pros

Ease of use. Stripe integrates with my business workflows perfectly, and introduces helpful analytics and additional integration options, all of which are explained well and easy to manage. They also allow both scheduled and instant payouts with minimal clicks, making it really easy flexible for small businesses, or anyone keeping a clsoer eye on cashflow.

Cons

It can be tricky to manage with multiple ecommerce instances - it's too easy to accidentally allow third parties to configure new stripe accounts rather than interfacing with an existing account. This hwoever is likely the fault of the third party rather than the stripe platform.

It offers many forms of payment options that work seamlessly for my business. I sell my art to many types of people, so this is important as well as offering a secure and customer friendly purchase solution.

Pros

It's very secure. The validation process is designed to make the seller and buyer feel secure. I feel much safer against fraud and my customers can feel secure purchasing from me. Also the system is easy to learn and operate.

Cons

Fees are low to begin. But as a business continues to grow, fees can increase and other fees may be incurred, such as chargebacks for example, making this a system that you'll want to watch as your business grows. It's important to keep track of charges and fees.

Initial setup wasn’t overly intuitive for my bespoke situation but managed to get there in the end with some help.

Working as a Medical Assistance Specialist, it is mandatory to raise money within a short time in the case of hospital admissions. I also use it to make international transactions. It is very economical, yet the technical installation is not very simple.

Pros

Our automated billing capabilities will enable us to charge international insurance partners and client payments of long-term medical assistance cases without any difficulty.

Cons

Our administrative staff have a very steep learning curve and sometimes things go wrong with the API and fail to input key medical invoices into our main system.

With Stripe all payments/invoices are easy to make for the employee as well as easy to pay or to deal for the guest.

Pros

Stripe is a great platform for taking payments. It is a platform that integrates easily with many platforms. It is super easy to use and the customer service is super helpful at all time. It is very detailed.

Cons

Some details of this platform could be better. As an example, it records every price you add and when you want to clear them out, it does not delete them completely but it archives them. If a guest disputes the payment, Stripe give you the chance to counter it, however most of the time guest’s bank is more powerful.

I didn't like the OS update that wouldn't allow me to continue to use my S20+ for tap and pay. Myself and a lot of users had to get new phones because of this

No big issues with the service itself, payouts were simple and you could track deposit dates for payout batches, credit card fees were comparable to all the other companies. No big learning curve-easy to use for small or new businesses

Pros

Made receiving money and transferring to bank account simple and fairly quick, easy to get set up and establish you account

Cons

Customers would dispute charges and no matter the reason and even with us providing complete documentation that customers received services, we would never win the dispute and were also charged extra every time someone disputed charges

It took a lot of the work out of managing subscriptions and reduced the amount of manual invoice chasing we had to do particularly with our hosted telecom infrastructure.

Pros

Creating recurring plans in Stripe is relatively easy and managing customer billing schedules can be managed directly from the Stripe dashboard. Dunning characteristics also assist us in minimizing churn.

Cons

We still need dev support for more complicated workflows some things aren’t plug-and-play, particularly when syncing with our CRM.

Overall, it's great for start ups who are bootstrapping their business and are counting every penny in the infancy stages of their business so it does save money until a transaction has gone through. Developer tools and documentation is pretty decent for merchant services. It isn't perfect but it does what it says and transfers into my bank account much quicker than the expected time frame.

Pros

I've been using this payment gateway for the last 10 years but since the pandemic it has become my preferred payment gateway for the following the reasons. For building out an websites for clients I found the API's incredibly easy to implement. In fact I would say it's made flexible and easy to set up. There's no monthly fees so you're only charge a fee when a successful transaction is completed.

Cons

The fees are a bit on the high side and getting any assistance was a bit sticky and it took far more time than I had the time for, I was expecting the service to be a bit quicker. I was walking a client through setting up her Stripe account and for some reason unknownst to me it would not complete the set up and the error didn't provide clear instructions on how to correct this.

This product is integrated with our current EMR system for patient's payments. It works fine, is easy for me as the Office Manager, to use remotely and input patient payments.

There is no ability select a "drop down" of what the cost is I am processing. I have to type it in-and if I miss a number or input too many, I can cause a huge error.

Overall its pretty dope - its a powerful , global developer friendly software product. Its highly secure and compliant but you'll need to weight thr pros and cons if you are a smaller company.

Pros

Stripe is a great value for money as if very secure and accepts payments in a 130ish currencies alomg with a strong dashboard for mrr and churn etc

Cons

The transaction fees are slightly high but great for high volumes and low amounts. Non technical teams might feel that the model is a bit overwhelming.
