Overall, EngageBay CRM has been a helpful tool for managing contacts, email campaigns, and our sales pipeline, especially with how responsive and supportive the customer support team is. There is still a bit of a learning curve with the interface and data management, but once the basics are set up, it works reliably for day-to-day outreach and follow-ups.​

Pros

The customer support team has been excellent so far – responses are quick, and issues are handled in a very helpful and professional way. The user interface is generally okay once you get used to it, but it could be a bit more intuitive in some areas. Data management features seem solid and cover most of what we need, although we are still exploring the platform and expect it will take a bit more time to fully understand and optimize how everything works for our use case.​

Cons

The main downside so far is that EngageBay CRM can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially when trying to navigate all the different modules and settings as a new user. The interface and data management tools do the job, but they are not always as intuitive or streamlined as they could be, so it sometimes takes extra clicks and trial-and-error to find or configure what is needed. It's been a decent experience overall, as customer service has been able to help all the time. Email marketing has been successful in getting things out, and the way it's laid out to view open-rate, delivery rate, and clicks is very helpful, I will not lie. Sales logging has been achievable, and the Calendar works enough to still keep my organized, but it should be a better experience.

Pros

Customer support is very attentive, the Deals section is nicely designed, and email marketing and sales basic goals have been achieved and organized for efficiency.

Cons

Not up to speed with 2026 userability expectations. The calendar is too basic (you can't drag things around), whereas in Deals, you can. Adding notes and creating contacts is just clunky.

### "The Worst Data Security Ever, Stay away!"

Pros

System wise, nice software. But be aware, you will lose all data! They just delete it and never come back to it. You will not be able to recover it.

Cons

Data Security, the worst. There are no backups of anything.... they upgraded to a new server, and I lost all my CRM data, only the names were still there with contact details, but none of all historical events, mails, notes, anything. I talked to support, they said, we removed all data of before because we got in trouble with the size of the database. Then they change the story, suddenly they say it was changing the server. Anyways, result is, you can never recover your data and lose all without any notice. Engagebay is a feature rich mailing tool, but that it is. Support really does not care, they are completely loose from the backend team and backend does not respond to anything at all. You can talk for hours to support, they promise to come back to things, but they dont. Updates to the system are almost none, I have been using it for years now. Only paid services are added. Please stay away if your data is important, I have really never met this level of backup and data security amateurs. Oh and, if you ever want out, there is no way of really getting your data out of the system... so beware...

Conceptually, it could be a great platform. The issue is that given the number of bugs and the unreliable marketing automation stats, it's difficult to have trust in the product.

Pros

It has a lot of features. It pretty much has everything you would want in a CRM and marketing automation platform.

Cons

It's very buggy. Support has gotten better, but there have been numerous instances where we've reached out to support, and it was common to get a response that it's something on our end. We've done our best to use it for our marketing automation purposes, but the delivered/open/click stats can't be trusted. We've A/B tested this using Sendgrid, and it was clear that the stats in Engagebay just didn't make sense.

EngageBay has shown a strong commitment to improving their platform and supporting their users. Although I faced challenges initially with setup and functionality, the team has been responsive and open to feedback. I appreciate the continuous updates and enhancements being made to the software. The pricing is very competitive for the range of features offered.

Cons

The onboarding process was initially confusing, and I encountered issues that made it difficult to get started. However, with time, guidance from the support team helped me overcome those hurdles. A clearer refund policy and more transparent support around that would improve the overall experience.

Pros

The overall use case and the very quick responses from the customer service teams. I can always rely on contacting support and getting a speedy and informative response.

Cons

Not being able to open things like email templates and forms in a new tab quickly and efficiently would be my biggest con. It can be quite annoying when you have to update something small but in multiple email templates/forms and you have to open one at a time, rather than opening them all in their individual tabs nice and quickly.

We have had continual problems trying to be productive using this service. Nothing is straighforward and there are strange side effects and bugs. Online documtation is very poor, so you have to ask almost everything via support. Support chat is fast but low quality. Support tickets are better but they close them without resolving anything so you have to keep bugging them. The most disappointing feature was automations, where they have only limited things that can trigger an automation and limited choices for what the automation can do. You can have multiple automations but there is no priority between them so you end up having to just have one very large one. Not designed or implemented well. It is completely unacceptable that customer support tickets in the Support section are not reliably showing up in saved views. Sounds good on paper but in practice it is not there. Look elsewhere.

Pros

Combines marketing automation, CRM, and ticketing system.

Cons

Nothing is straightforward, there are numerous bugs and poor design decisions, ticket views are unreliable (sometimes do not show all matches!).
