We had huge volumes of data from an enterprise system. We switched to Dash since it looked promising with a wide range of visualisation options and was free. With Dash, we were able to create excellent visualisations, perform analytics to uncover insights, and share the reports with stakeholders. Dash can connect with multiple applications hence we can leverage the capabilities of other advanced analytics applications. Next, all visualisations are stored in a repository and cen be referenced later. Director of Operations Recreational Facilities and Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Versatile, But Lacking Finesse" June 8, 2026 3.0 Overall, Dash has a lot of potential, but I struggle with actually getting a lot of it to work in a helpful way. The customer service staff tries to be helpful, but from a higher level, we have to work around a lot of quirks, and the company is not particularly interested in making this easier for us as a business. Pros Dash has a lot of abilities with a POS, calendar system, booking systems, league booking, scheduling, and billing, memberships and even more. There are also a lot of analytics and data you can get from Dash. Cons Dash has very limited flexibility in what it is able to do, and is often extremely clunky. Lots of options can take you to the same place, but do slightly different things. For instance: there are 2 - 3 places you can check someone in, but they don't all talk to each other, and you can't get a very easy list of what they were checked in for. Anytime we have an issue there is someone to assist. Pros The number of reports that are available for our business. They allow us to produce accurate financial statements each month. Cons Some of the reports do not format well in a PDF. The information is not printable as created, so I often find myself having to download them as an Excel sheet. Review Source CC Christine C. Lots of reporting options. Pros Fairly easy to use. Lots of features being able to copy items for a prior season or session helps with the setup of a new one. June 12, 2026 3.0 Not the best. not being able just to call for support is annoying, we are not high school kids we don't need to text or message or online chat. Adults use their words and talk on the phone. Having to put in an email for customers is annoying again what is the point for this it should be an option and not be manadory!! This is eastern Montana full of ranchers and farmers and old cowboys we don't use email much around here a lot of people do not have email. Pros I did not like a lot it's too darn safety orientated. Cons Tries to think too much for the operator. Not being able to adjust fees delete invoices etc. I don't need this program to worry about that type of safety. there should be unlimited control for certain users, the\[sensitive content hidden\] or gym manager is at fault anyway not the program developers. I don't need you permission to delete an invoice or adjust a fee or change an invoice date. Quit trying to make it harder than it needs to be. Review Source SK Steve K. Fast and works as advertised for an MVP/Dashboard. Pros As claimed, it was fast to create a prototype/MVP. Could achieve a reactive frontend with little/no knowledge of React - Dash handled the communication with the backend well. Cons Even with our simple MVP we hit into customisation limits for the front end display, and needed to start hacking the HTML/CSS by hand. The app was live and functional within 48 hours, we were amazed how fast was the lift off phase. Our journey with Dash has been mind blowing in term of data science experiments. Also our experience while manipulating network graph was greatly improved, this can help to model and build solutions to complex problems. In short our problem solving skills have been tremendously improved Pros This tool allowed us to deliver something more meaningful to our clients rather than a script or a Jupyter Notebook. Client was able to see the code and play with its inherent interactivity. Cons Callback logic tends to let you think too much about the sequential events, less about parallel stuff. We would have hoped to find more examples in the documentation, we are forced to scrap Github repository for x specific feature. For example the architecture concepts explained are way too scarce. Some part of the doc is incomplete (Cytoscape and other UI kits) Reason for choosing Dash Dash is in Python, therefore leveraging easy to find experienced developers. Dash has native support with machine learning / eventually deep learning. Dash debug mode is very convenient. It helps to understand data and communicate efficiently. Interactivity helps reduce the number of graphs. It has help me so much with my studies! And the graphs are beautiful. Pros There are so many plots to choose from! It has features that you know from excel (spreadsheet), and has a vast range of customization options. Fonts, styles, all you need. Also, your data is saved on the account, which is nice, because you can come back to it later! Cons The free plan is of course limited. But who would say that this is actually a con? " December 5, 2019 4.0 Overall the software has been very effective at dealing with a specific task, generating useful plots quickly and in an automated way. Pros This platform does charts, and it covers the basics incredibly well and will serve most needs. The primary selling point for me has been the fact that the platform integrates with other services like Integromat to generate beautiful plots autonomously which is incredibly useful. Cons The range of options for plots and API integration options could be more extensive as it stands it does not cover more advanced and intricate requirements one may have.
