May 26, 2020 5.0 Pros The team at Lightyear have been fantastic from the outset, from onboarding to ongoing support. The software itself it very user friendly, makes our processes much more efficient and eliminates our need for paper in the accounts payable process. We have had little use, and had to stop during the COVID-19 shut down, but from what we have used so far, we can see this saving our venue managers and well as our finance team lots of time in processing and reconciling supplier accounts. Pros The ability to set up different team members to approve invoices, as well as keeping all invoices in one central location, uploaded via suppliers. Integration to Xero is also fantastic. Capturing invoices, statements, reconciling statements is done by a click a button. The hierarchy of approving an invoice is useful as it gets checked and confirmed and associates accountability. Cons \- in some instances, the rules are too rigid. - it will be good to have a little bit of flexibility with some of the rules which should help solve a lot of things especially for supplier who currently don't have a professional way of running their business. The software has excellent extraction accuracy and the team are always quite to help rectify any errors that do come up (even if they are rare). It allows accurate line by line billing for accurate GL coding on output to Xero. Plus the approvals process then ensures that we have accurate records of who has approved what to ensure that nothing is paid unless it has proper approvals. Cons I have found the only difficulty is in getting our managers to move from their old habits of paperbased systems to this. However, that is not the systems fault! Review Source KY Kate Y. Once you've used it for a while, you couldn't imagine going back to a more manual process again. Pros Once set up, Lightyear makes the approval, processing and integration with accounting software seamless for payments of all invoices. It will save countless hours of keying invoices into MYOB, potential errors in doing so are eliminated and the price comparison tool is a game changer if your suppliers ever increase their prices without informing you first. Cons A little cumbersome to set up at first, but that is mainly simply getting us to the processes. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was always available and on hand for assistance when required. Director Financial Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Group implementation of Lightyear" May 27, 2020 5.0 By introducing Lightyear to our CLient, we have been able to modernise their accounts payable function and made it consistent and transparent across such a large network of sites/branches. Pros We were able to roll out Lightyear to a Client (a large franchise network of some 170 site/branches). Their cloud based functionality allowed us to improve process efficiencies; reduce costs; and future proof the Client's accounts payable function. Key enhancement features which the client benefited from are; approval workflow management; automated supplier reconciliations and integration into cloud accounting platforms. Cons We are still ongoing with the client implementation and are looking at some enhanced reporting features/notifications; and minor bug fixes. However, Lightyear has 'world class' customer support which drive a very rich engagement which is very helpful. Reason for choosing Lightyear I liked the people who we were dealing with - from the Director down to every person we have interacted with in Lightyear. Review Source DS Dean S. Pros This is the only product I've been able to find where it can map what's on an invoice and has an approval process built-in. Also no requirement to have PO's which a lot of similar products use. Cons At first, I couldn't work out how to use it but after a quick demo, it was very easy to use.
