### "Finally, a Platform Built for the Practicing Therapist"

My experience with Jane has been largely positive with some areas of friction. The scheduling and booking features work exceptionally well, and my clients have responded well to the interface. However, the charting side still leaves room for improvement from a clinical standpoint. On balance, it remains my preferred practice management tool because the strengths outweigh the limitations.

Pros

From a therapist's perspective, anything that reduces administrative friction before a first session allows me to focus entirely on the therapeutic relationship from the very start.

Cons

My biggest frustration was the limited flexibility in customizing chart templates. Psychotherapy documentation has very specific needs like charting progress notes, treatment plans, risk assessments, and I found myself working around the system rather than having it fully adapt to my clinical requirements.

Yes, I switched to Jane from a combination of Google Calendar and paper-based intake forms. As my practice grew, that informal system became increasingly unsustainable. ### "Clean and Simple (in a good way)"

Really a quality product. The user experience is great as either a client or a practitioner. It is intuitive, well laid out, and still has most (if not all) the features needed for an EMR/scheduling/billing system without being too messy to look at.

Pros

The clean layout and ease of use are Jane's strong points. It is easy to toggle back and forth between different segments and the mobile vs. desktop versions are fairly seamless.

Cons

The biggest downside to working with Jane is the setting up of charting options. The search among global users is a good feature but it would be nice if Jane came up with some really well designed stock/set options to start with. Otherwise it takes a long time and is a bit tedious to get it right at first.

### "A support team that is actually available and helpful..."

Jane is the only scheduling/payment/session notes software (and app) I've found that seems to 'get' that service practices in 2026 must be a) safe and private, and b) completely customizable in terms of branding. I've been a subscriber for 24 hours, and already I've had outstanding experiences with one planned and one impromptu service call. A Canadian product that actually helps my Canadian small business--that's money well spent.

Pros

\-Excellent, responsive communication from CSRs through onboarding -Intuitive interface that prompts me to say what I need my clients to know > I feel like someone (other than me) has thought about onboarding and what I need to know.

Cons

I haven't yet found anything that doesn't work for me. The features make sense, and I'll be up and running with online booking later today. (Not that I'm looking, but I am honestly surprised at the multiple ways I can personalize my account for my learning clinic.) So far, so good.

Pros

Super efficient and cost-effective solution for private practice management. Super kind and intelligent support team, and solid community online for troubleshooting or comparing business models. Effective user interface, simple appointment management.

Cons

As with any practice management solution, there's a learning curve and staff training that needs to happen with this tool.

### "Jane was more than I hoped for "

I looked at other software, but found Jane outstripped it related to ease of use, costs and provision of services for the basic level. Well beyond that I loved the community of practitioners sharing templates, and Jane App sharing what it was learning & doing re: aiming for "delighted" clients!

Pros

I have been using Jane App for 5 years. In all ways it exceeded my hopes. It made my life simple, allowing for stress free client files, setting appointments, and secure video for my sessions. The staff were amazing. Each time I had a question they responded quickly, and even gave me a gift when I retired!

Cons

Over time they improved pretty much everything I hoped for. At first the video connection was not great quality, but then it was updated and recently it has been fine.

Overall, we liked the software and I think it would function well for a small or low volume practice of almost any sort

Pros

It was great value for the money as a startup practice on a tight budget. Jane has all the basics: scheduling, SOAP notes, basic billing.

Cons

As our practice grew, it wasn’t able to grow with us. We ran into issues with keeping track of patients packages and getting them scheduled for re-exams on time. The tracking was the most difficult part.

Excellent, we tried PTEverywhere and switched back because Jane app was that much better. 10/10 would recommend

Pros

The interface of Jane is easy to use, it allows for our unique pricing model without issues. The customer service is what really takes them to the next level. Always helpful and available whenever you want to hop on a call.

Cons

Sending superbills can be complicated depending on your pricing model. Some of the reporting doesn’t quite have what I’m looking for. Also would like an easier message system for patients to use

Other than the above comment, staff have always been extremely helpful. Shame about the enforced upgrade to add direct billing! 😕

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] was great. I had clearly thrown her a curve ball with my error. She tried to helpo me there and then but was unable to do so. However she asked that she be ble to call me back to get things sorted out, if I was unable to help then shoe would email me the steps I needed to make to correct my original mistake. I had a missed call and it had been \[sensitive content hidden\] . However she came through and sent strep by step instructions with screen shots and I was able to rectify the issues. A great effort and as always another wonderfully helpful Jane employee. Thank you so much \[sensitive content hidden\] 🙏🙂

Cons

Not related to this call but a separate issue making us upgrade our regular package into the more expensive package to then upcharge us further all because we wanted to add direct billing / e-claims for our patients and to be able to take on patients who were otherwise declining to book appointments because we didn’t direct bill. That was a real disappointment for a small clinic trying to build our patient base and still in that struggling phase.

### "Jane.App: The best EHR system I've ever dealt with"

Jane has been really easy to use and implement, it takes some legwork but it does everything I need it to without being over complicated. It is provider friendly, which is vastly different from every other software I've used. It's also really flexible and always fixing problems and adding features

Pros

Pricing is great, booking for clients is simple and customer support is top notch. Insurance billing is simple and the fact that it is cloud based is a huge plus.

Cons

Some features aren't implemented well, and there is a lot of customization needed to make the service workable. It works out of the box, just may not be exactly what you need.

### "Good UI, steeper learning curve. "

Jane was good once we got it going. Transition from our previous EHR was a little difficult at first.

Pros

The way they handled data was great. Also the UI was generally pleasing and easy to use. You could see what was going on visually very easily.

Cons

The way consultations were handled was less than ideal for our practice. It actually took our admin team a lot more work to handle bookings.

### "Exceeds Expectations "

They have exceeded my expectations. Whether I call them, email them, or use their live chat feature with a question, they deliver detailed, friendly, caring response every time.

Pros

Consistently incredible customer service. When I have a question about how to do something such as set-up an employees commission rate or process a refund, their email replies are thorough and even included embedded videos to help me see exactly what to do.

Cons

I wish it were a bit lower in cost. It's not terribly expensive but our practice needs to keep expenses as low as possible.

### "Jane Success For Our School Clinic"

Overall, Jane is supportive, and it has been a positive experience for us. We recommend this program for all of our students.

Pros

We use Jane in a school clinical setting. 12 treatment rooms with 40-60 new students per year. This means we have to train students how to use the program. We have found that Jane is very easy to use in this manner. We also appreciate the customer support and the consistent updates to the system, which include useful features. Booking and appointment management from the Clinic Manager, Client, and Practitioner views are intuitive for most new users, including our older clients who sometimes struggle with technology. Notifications, reminder emails, and SMS reminders are particularly beneficial when managing a large number of new users and clients annually.

Cons

Batching in Jane Payments is not adjustable, and the system strips UTM data in reports. These two things are more concerning for bookkeeping and administration, and do not really impact the end user. Payment batching can span multiple service days, resulting in payments for one day appearing in two separate batches. Depending on your clinic hours. If you're familiar with UTM data, you already understand why this is important for some users but doesn't really impact the daily user.

The amount of incredible updates and keeping up with technology. My medical documentation with Jane AI is so incredibly accurate.

Cons

honestly, not sure. I guess I wish I could create a "report" and save it so I dont have to always create the report.

Loved the program, it was a great transition from a server based program we had prior, but due to our specific office protocol needs we had to switch to Chirotouc, again only for billing purposes.

Pros

Easy use, great scheduling and charging system. Truly adaptable system with constant updates that make the program smooth and easy to jump into.

Cons

Difficult to bill out of for insurance. Multi-step process was cumbersome and not intuitive, third party billers were unresponsive.

### "Jane for the EHR win!"

Jane has been amazing! We have streamlined so many processes and saved money by having our EHR and CRM all in one. The integrations that Jane offers with other features like payments, faxing, and email newsletters has saved so much time and effort for us. We basically love everything about it!

Pros

Jane has so many amazing features! First of all, it is super easy to use with a very intuitive user interface which makes training staff a breeze. I absolutely love the online booking site and how easy it is for patients to schedule and management their appointment times and type. It also makes notes and documentation processes easy on the clinicians. All this for a very reasonable monthly fee based on the number of providers at the clinic!

Cons

The insurance billing was a little cumbersome, but we have since transitioned to a cash-based clinic model, which has completely alleviated this pain point.

Great EHR. They are constantly collecting and implementing feedback from providers and always pretty quick to get on the phone for support.

Cons

Billing statements need work where insured patients are concerned, but other than that I have no complaints.

\[sensitive content hidden\] was absolutely lovely, extremely knowledgeable on the product with a lot of experience. She gave me an in-depth exploration of the platform, was very warm friendly and if the price was more comfortable for me I would definitely gone with the move from Zanda to Jane.

Pros

Customer support, User Interface, Customer Support, Ease of Use, the thought that has gone into the product both from a client and practitioner facing perspective.

Cons

The cost, it is a lot for a solo practitioner working part-time and I would need the second tier price band as I would typically fall between the first and second tier. I know there is a 3month discount for this but it would need to be that price as the set price if I were to move from Zanda to Jane.

### "Utilizing Jane in busy group of clinics"

Overall, Jane has been a gamechanger for our workflow. As a group of very busy clinics, it allows up to manage scheduling, billing, and submitting claims to insurance companies easily. The issues with some of the reports are at times frustrating, but they are easier to deal with when you factor in the positives of scheduling and billing!

Pros

When it comes to scheduling software, Jane is hands down the best! The ease of scheduling appointments is amazing! New employees pick up scheduling appointments very quickly and are often scheduling appointments independently within their first few shifts.

Cons

Some of the reports are not geared towards a larger group (we have 5 clinics). The Accounts Receivable report is very hard to navigate, and when you choose an account to investigate, it takes you to all outstanding balances with no way to filter the age of the charges.

### "Reliable platform, but very poor UI and UX"

Customer service can be improved. They're quite slow to get back to you. Also, please update your platform. It looks horrible.

Pros

It's reliable, and easy to setup. I like how it can notify me by both email and SMS, and how you can send confirmations to customers.

Cons

Very limited customization options, and it looks very old. It has a very poor user interface for when you offer more than 5+ services per practitioner.

Very good on boarding experience with Britt Not complicated to use Overall I like how simple it is to access reports

Pros

Ease of use simplicity with all the trimmings Reports are accessible Not very expensive so it makes life as an owner that much better.

Cons

Too early to say but I would like to see a way as owners, where the admin is screened from checking out the total earnings, total clinic income, payouts, etc as this should be private, for the owner's eyes only.

The platform is pleasing to look at, the Claim MD integration is great, customer service is prompt, documentation for providers is easy.

Cons

The client portal could use some updates. When logging in, if clients sign in via google/apple vs their username, it duplicates their account and does not carry over appointment/billing info. Additionally, the family account management needs some attention.

Pros

Jane has been a great program for me to use at my second clinic and I will always love how easy it is to bill, schedule, and process payments.

Cons

Sometimes its a bit hard to book clients as well as book in breaks. It would be more helpful to have colourful breaks. Price as well is a bit much.

Overall experience has been positive. I use it for booking all my chiro, massage, etc. It keeps track and sends appointment reminders in a text. Very helpful!

Pros

Jane is a very customer friendly platform. You can book all your appointments with various Healthcare providers in one app.

Cons

Sometimes I forget which password I used for specific providers, I have to reset it and that takes a little time.

Jane built a mobile app for patients and clients, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play; this lets you create one central login and link all your existing clinic accounts to it, so you're only ever signing into one place. ### "Mostly good experience with Jane"

Pros

I use Jane for my lactation consulting practice and I generally like it quite a bit. It makes booking easy, the user interface is pretty easy to figure out, and it connects to my personal calendar on my phone so that I don't miss new appointments that get scheduled.

Cons

We have had some problems with the virtual appointment features within the app, often finding that we are missing sound or video on one end or the other. I also have had some times where the screen blinks the whole appointment on my end.
