Pros

I use Jane for my lactation consulting practice and I generally like it quite a bit. It makes booking easy, the user interface is pretty easy to figure out, and it connects to my personal calendar on my phone so that I don't miss new appointments that get scheduled.

Cons

We have had some problems with the virtual appointment features within the app, often finding that we are missing sound or video on one end or the other. I also have had some times where the screen blinks the whole appointment on my end.

Overall experience has been positive. I use it for booking all my chiro, massage, etc. It keeps track and sends appointment reminders in a text. Very helpful!

Pros

Jane is a very customer friendly platform. You can book all your appointments with various Healthcare providers in one app.

Cons

Sometimes I forget which password I used for specific providers, I have to reset it and that takes a little time.

Jane built a mobile app for patients and clients, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play; this lets you create one central login and link all your existing clinic accounts to it, so you're only ever signing into one place. It might save you a few password resets going forward. 🙏 So glad the experience has been a positive one overall. 💙

My overall experience with Jane has been pleasant! It's simple to use and if I do make a mistake (such as booking initial appointments more than once) it is easy to switch to another type of appointment. I also like how easy it is to cancel and reschedule.

Pros

What I like most about the Jane app is that it is easy to use, as a client I can can see what is available and who I am booking with.

Cons

What I like least about Jane is that it is easy to miss switching the type of service; a few times I have booked initial appointments multiple times and didn't realize.

Pros

Jane's customer support is the best of any software programs I've used within a business. Very user friendly, even for people without much experience!

Cons

Sometimes we run into issues with insurance claims getting rejected for issues through Jane. The support team always ends up helping us out, though.

Been very good - reporting and breaks, supervision etc - all help. Charting is also good.

Pros

Most things - easy, response and easy on the eyes.

Cons

Needs internal and external communication channels so that we don't have to keep checking whatsapp, messages and emails etc and everything is in one place - or you can integrate these systems in to Jane like whatsapp business. I want a bit more control on billing - every bill is different as we are a small organisation. Place holders in diary - so that the appointment doesn't get sent away immediately. Send later option for invoices, appointments and other communications. Online booking notifications should have a "cc" email to central control as well.

The Jane team was very friendly and were great at the customer service provided. The scheduling platform was amazing and easy to use but the clinical notes did not have all the necessary tool to be compliant with Medicare guidelines. I know several updates and user modifications have been made but we were not able to continue successfully with this EMR.

Pros

Jane provides users with a very applicable scheduling platform. It is user friendly and easy to learn.

Cons

The billing platforms did not provide my biller with tools that they were accustom to with EMR services. Several tasks were done manually.

Very positive, and we don't have any motivation or desire to leave or change platforms.

Pros

Super helpful, present, and attentive customer services agents via chat, email, and phone. Very willing to update the system with the needs of the providers using it. Affordable rates, too!

Cons

Takes a little bit to learn how to use it. Sometimes difficult to create templates with exactly what I want/need, and difficult to customize charts that already exist (i.e. spinal chart for chiropractic). I also wish Jane printed out narrative reports from the check boxes selected in Daily Notes for notes for PI/Attorney's

Overall everyone has been super helpful love JaneApp!

Pros

I have loved JaneApp ever since becoming an heath care provider. It is easy to use for both patient and I. best support team! Love that they offer complimentary 45 minute consultation when you first get started!

Cons

I think as a practitioner it would be nice to see outdated templates removed off the system. Ex: templates from 6 years ago… just a random thought

### "Absolutely Love Jane App"

I’ve used Jane for just over 3 years. They are constantly updating, adding/testing new features that are voted on by the people who actually use the software. As a single person small clinic, Jane automates as much as possible as well as allowing simple online booking. It takes off the burden of a lot of admin work to allow for seamless operation even with a single provider and no actual support/admin staff

Pros

I absolutely love how responsive Jane’s customer service is. If I ever have questions, I can send an email and always got a useful response back from a person.

Cons

The front end set up to get chart notes set up was a lot, but there are hundreds of templates that other people have shared to help to process. Even with that though,continuously updating and improving chart templates is really easy.

Pros

The fact that I can talk to a real person on the day that I have a question is a GAME CHANGER!! This is the majority of the reason we are switching to Jane.

Cons

Only one thing really. The fact that there is not an appointment counter built into the software. As a PT clinic, it is important to not schedule a patient over the amount they are approved for.

I enjoyed using Jane because the customer service for questions was instantaneous. The ease in building templates and duplicating them was phenomenal.

Pros

I liked how easy it was to use and how we can duplicate old records and build upon them. It makes record taking much faster.

Cons

Jane is a great EMR tool however it doesn't offer integration with a picture app, staff tracking with sales and clocking in that other softwares have.

Pros

Jane App fulfilled all the requirements for me to run a remote clinic as a solo practitioner. It was always easy to find answers to my questions as well.

Cons

It would have been better to have the calendar automatically adjust to different time zones.

Jane App was a great experience. I think I would have used this EHR full time if it had a few more integrations like 2-way texting (which is may now have as an add-on option)

Pros

Jane is super affordable, and has more features than you would think!

Cons

Jane had no way to store and easily view X-ray images. As a chiropractor who does take Xrays on his patients, that was critically important to me.

It was a great experience working with Jane as we started up!

Pros

It was a great starting software! We very much enjoyed the ease of use, quick to learn notes, and functionality with the lower starting patient population.

Cons

Once we hit a certain limit and we were referring co-treating more patients, we decided we needed the notes to look a little more professional to send out to other providers/practitioners/massage therapist/functional med/acup. that was easier for them to read in an easier manner of us to do.

Great experience with Jane. Simple to use for our cash practice and I especially like the template library to see examples of what other practitioners are doing for their notetaking.

Pros

The ease of navigation and deployment. The template library was great. It was easy to share templates between practitioners, and to see what others are using.

Cons

It did not offer the capabilities needed for insurance claims submission and ERA.

### "I highly highly highly recommend"

I'm usually pretty critical of companies that I work with and expect a lot out of them. Jane is one of the few companies that I would say that I would highly recommend. I started off with another company in that was a nightmare and then switched to Jane and it was like night and day.

Pros

We got the company set up with him a month and the transition was generally seamless. I describe it like what happened with Y2K or everybody was really freaked out at first and then everything went just fine. Their customer support is amazing and all of the people that I have worked with have been very knowledgeable and if they don't understand they look into it and get back to you within a timely manner.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about the system or the people. There are various functions, bills, and whistles that I wish they had but they seem to be pretty good about listening to feedback and improving their system.

Pros

Exceptional customer service. Easy to negotiate the platform. Extremely well thought out. Excellent resources for help.

Cons

There isn't anything about Jane that I don't like.

### "Amazing experience with Jane!"

Pros

My favourite thing about Jane is how honest and transparent the team is. This built trust immediately. Not to mention, they are so reliable and efficient during our import process!

Cons

I just wish there were more appointment colours, a way to mark someone as "out" that was not green, and an option to add a second provider as an assistant all in one appointment.

Jane was transparent and honest. Pabau was a lot of overpromising and we lost their trust very quickly.

Made the switch because they overpromised features and most were not available to Canadians. They were not honest about that prior to us enrolling and we got suckered into a 5 year contract as a result.

### "Jane if possible all the way"

Jane was helpful through school and now as a health practitioner. It does make you feel like an absolute professional.

Pros

Jane is very user-friendly. It is also intuitive. Templates are easy to follow and customize too.

Cons

It is a pricey software. Sometimes there are too many bells and whistles that only a large clinic would potentially use.

### "I wanted to like this EHR more than I actually did."

I spent over a month setting up my account only to abandon it after having problems with creating a test client that linked to my account. I was locked out of my account. It created a lot of problems that customer service wasn't able to fix. Customer service was kind and responsive and I believe they would have helped if they could. They refunded my payment, which I think says something good about the company.

Pros

I liked the streamlined intake process for clients. I liked viewing the paperwork that other users submitted.

Cons

It was very time consuming to set up my practice in comparison to other EHRs. The site felt more complicated and less intuitive than other programs I have used.
