Accountant Hospitality Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great for accounts payable/receivable" August 25, 2022 5.0 I think overall it is easy to use, logically organized and the customer support is great too whenever I needed help. The check runs and reports can be custom made/labelled and each user login can make their own reports as favorites which is handy. Pros I like that this software has all the functionalities required for reporting, accounts payable, receivable, and reporting and that they are logically grouped in each of the menu options. The reports are very easy to use and I love the existing templates. I like that the system makes invoices paperless by scanning all receipts/paperwork into the PDF file image storing system. Cons I have to change out the paper in the printer every time I want to print checks manually. I wish there was an automatic way to do this or multiple trays. Implementation is fast paced and scanning desires some improvement but great product! Pros Great product and easy to use! Easy to teach others to use. Learning curve was less than a week for our organization. Cons Implementation was awkward. Support was limited other than thru tickets. Scan hardware limitations are surrealistic. You need specific scanners that are almost outdated equipment. They definitely have room for improvement in this area! Alternatives considered [NetSuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/135757/NetSuite/) Reason for choosing M3 Accounting Core Best fitted for our environment. It has best integration into our custom environment. Switched from [Dynamics 365](https://www.capterra.com/p/157279/Dynamics-365/) Dynamics had limitations and the product was outdated! It is very outdated compared to the other systems out there, but it does the job. As long as you have a process down, there should be no problems! Pros \-The ability to maintain a lot of financial information and translate this into readable and detailed reports in either Excel or PDF format is excellent! -The ease of uploading budgets with a single spreadsheet. -The training videos were helpful for me as a first time user of the system. Cons \-The GUI is outdated. -Occasional system crashes. -Running reports is easy - but it takes a lot of clicks/questions to get the report. Once you click "Finish" and you realize you selected the wrong property or period, you would have to re-do the steps. Also, it takes a long time to pull the report, approximately 15-20 minutes per property. -Uploading budgets are easy - however, when there is an error, the message it displays is not very helpful. You would have to try and determine what caused the upload to error out. Review Source Wesley V. Easy to reconcile check registers, manage A/P vendors and GL entries are easy to do. Cons The integration with our PMS is not available and there is no Accounts receivable functions. Pros Easy to learn and navigate and use for new users. Cons It has a dated look and seems old. Not meant for big groups. We are constantly upgrading the accounting product and while the "look" may not change that often, the features and functionality have been enhanced and upgraded hundreds of times - all at no charge to our customers. We are proud that we have never charged an upgrade fee, that we work without formal agreements and that these values have helped us grow to almost 5,700 individual properties that use M3 on a daily basis. These customers include some of the largest companies and most complicated portfolios in the industry. I am not sure what this reviewer deems a "big group"; however, M3 serves hundreds of customers with more than 10 properties in their portfolio with many of those in the 100 property range. May 12, 2020 5.0 I have been using M3 for 5+ years now and I love how easy it is to use. Pros I love the many reports that you can pull to help you stay on track with your budget and invoices. I have used several different softwares and this is compatible with almost all PMS systems and can automatically generate a daily revenue report from the PMS automatically with most franchised properties. Pros What I like most about this software is the ease of use. It is very easy to use, as well as train employees to use. Customer support is excellent and always available. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to try them! Pros We have been using M3 for over 5 years for night audit at our hotel. It is very easy to use for all of our reporting and their customer service is very receptive. Cons There is nothing I dislike about this.
