Pretty good! Customer service is beyond excellent (\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is wonderful!). Majority of functions function as I need them to and our Board members navigate the platform easily.

Pros

The board book/agenda features are our most used feature. The ability to automatically plunk in the table of contents and assemble the Board book for export is nice. The option to import the agenda rather than manually add each section is also nice.

Cons

Zoom functionality isn't as nice as using the regular Zoom platform.

Obviously it does require every participant to have a device. Some people just prefer paper no matter what!

### "Onboard keeps us organized"

We have been very pleased with Onboard. It is great for our meetings and for the keeps our minutes/documents archived to look back when needed.

Pros

The ability to have all the needed documents in one place for our meetings helps them to run smooth and keeps everyone organized.

Cons

We have had some issues when trying to 'present' the board information on a large screen. Some of this is due to the fact that people are used to the native features in Office, so when the information gets loaded to OnBoard it is more like a pdf.

I can see that this software saved us $$ over what we paid for the last system and has certainly made meeting scheduling/delivery easy. That saves time and that equates to saving $$, too. Overall, I have a positive association to the product and would recommend it.

Pros

Gets everyone on the same page -- it's easy to add / see / follow the agenda, the Zoom link is easy to find, easy to add attendees

Cons

Honestly, I'm not familiar w/ all its features, like the analytics functions. I'm sure it's more powerful than I know. My interaction w/ it has been limited to signing in for meetings, reviewing / adding to the agenda. We received just a high-level training of the product. Cheat sheets to show me how other aspects of the software can help me work more effectively would be helpful. How are other associations using this software? How is it realizing efficiencies?

Pros

I like that we can set up an agenda for a board meeting, and then be able to copy that same agenda to the next month's meeting (without the attached documents, of course). You can very easily see if you have missed uploading a document into the agenda. It is very user friendly; documents are easy to attach to the proper location in the agenda. It also allows us to store policies, procedures, or any other resource documentation we would like for our board members to have access to. This makes a nice contingency location for these policies too. We are just getting started with this portal, but from what we have seen in doing our first meeting using the portal, "it's a winner". Another great feature is that we can download the board meeting file and have it available for examiners.

Cons

We are just getting started, but so far I like it all. I had a couple board members that I didn't have an email address for, and it wouldn't let me build their user until I got the email address.

OnBoard has been easy to use both during and between board meetings. The software allows board members to find resources they need, review documents, discuss approvals, and vote as needed instead of only when meeting in person.

Pros

The OnBoard platform is very easy to use and makes preparing for board meetings run smoothly. They offer excellent customer service should you have questions about how to make the most of the system and features like approvals and file libraries make it easy to keep everything in one place.

Cons

OnBoard has been a great product, I have no cons to list.

OnBoard has been wonderful to deal with - their customer service is supreme (easily the best out of every service provider we are currently working with). I sincerely appreciate all the help of the wonderful staff as we learned how to use the software. The current features are great but the fact the staff are so willing to take suggestions on future improvements and implement those changes takes the cake!

Pros

The software was so user friendly that most of the features can be figured out without instruction. The software has majorly cut down the time taken by admin staff to but together board packages and we continue to find new ways to use it. Although we have not managed to move to a totally paperless board, OnBoard has all the tools necessary to move our board towards a paperless future.

Cons

Nothing to report that we have liked least at this point. The only thing to consider was that it was at a much higher price point than some of the other options.

The user friendly interface and features were superior to other products.

This portal has saved us countless hours and and who knows how many trees by no longer assembling and shipping large board books.

Pros

Product is very easy to use and you can get up to speed very quickly with the help of OnBoard's dedicated customer support. I receive emails or call backs within 5 minutes every time I reach out. Some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. We also love the Minutes template.

Cons

The calendar invitations - we have decided we will continue to use our Outlook invitations until they fix their calendar invites.

Being able to have the Board vote and sign things without coming in is a great benefit.

Pros

I like the convenience of getting information out to my Board without having to email documents or print out tons of paper.

Cons

Not having the proper training to use all the features. Mostly had to figure it out myself.

Pros

It's super easy to use. We'd been combining PDFs into a packet which had a lot of issues and took a very long time to do. Having someone add documents last minute used to send me into a panicked frenzy. Now it's no problem and takes just minutes. It's also intuitive and very user friendly.

Cons

Integration was easy. What I found missing or needing improvement upon were sent to IT and they always respond quickly to the suggestion. Most were requests others had also recommended and have since been added.

Pros

The ease with which updates are completed; Ease of use and easy on the eyes; The ability to upload various document formats; Several documents could be uploaded per section of Agenda Items. Assistance which is given to persons who need to have passwords reset/changed

The views of the when the book is opened in the portal and moving through sections.

Our organization has board members around the globe, and often there were version control issues with last minute updates to reports just prior to a meeting. Now that our members log in to OnBoard, we know everyone is looking at the most recent version and our meeting are more effective and efficient.

Pros

Key attributes for us are ease of use and ability to centralize documentation.

Cons

Some of our reports are oversized and don't convert well into the board book format.

Overall, we have had a good experience with the product. The ease of use in preparing the board package was the biggest selling feature.

Pros

We really liked the ease of use on the administrator side. The ability to move documents around effortlessly made it easy to switch from our previous provider.

Cons

The additional add-ons like collaboration for board members on the portal was included in our previous board package and is extra here.

The training and support from Onboard has been excellent. What can be a hard process (onboarding an organization into using a new platform) was made easy by great customer support. Using Onboard also helps to legitimize and demonstrate a level of sophistication of our board which will help us to recruit quality board members in the future.

Pros

This product is very user friendly both for the admin user and for those less than tech-savvy board members. It brings in all the documents, reports, and minutes into one place which assists our board to stay organized and on top if the things they need to-do. The onboarding of the platform was easy and seamless.

Cons

As a Canadian organization, we had to factor in the cost difference from US funds to Canadian.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

We chose Onboard because of the ease of use and provided us the functionalities we needed. As our board becomes more able to navigate the platform we have additional options to enhance the platform even further.
