OnBoard makes it easy to disseminate information for upcoming meetings, while keep past meetings information available any time a board member wants to refer back to it. OnBoard works better than I anticipated. Pros OnBoard Board Portal is intuitive. I really like the graphic user interface. If you have used any Windows or Apple PCs or devices the OnBoard Board Portal will seem second nature within minutes of signing on. Cons Not a con, rather an observation. Older board members that lack practical tech knowledge and are not daily users of technology might push back on any new technology being implemented. We have Board Members that can now access information remotely with no need for us to get packets to them in person. With Covid-19 it has also allowed us to organize more meetings than just the Board meetings that we originally started with. Pros This software has given us the ability to adjust board packets up to the minute without having to mail or email new information. Cons Nothing comes to mind. August 4, 2020 4.0 Pros OnBoard was very easy to get up and running. The team of customer support staff is top-notch. Our board members found the software easy to use and a great alternative to our old methods of shared Google Drive folders. OnBoard takes away the hassle of putting together board books together with their features of using past books to make new ones. We can't wait to continuing using the software as our organization grows. Cons Be cautious of the features that are included in your purchased package. The first few days we had all the features unlocked and then without noticed they became locked and we were told to look at our plan. In addition, the ability to use OnBoard as a document repository has been helpful in making information available to new users. Pros The product is easy to use and very intuitive. I like that it is permission based which allows for flexibility for the different groups that use the tool. Pros The software is very user friendly and was easy to roll out to my board members. Even my less tech savvy board members are able to maneuver through it with ease. Pros I liked the ease of copying previous agendas, and then being able to just drag in the new files when creating a new meeting. This sped up the time it took to build meeting books and also saved us a lot of time printing. I can easily insert or remove slides or documents where before we worked with PDF versions. This is so much more convenient! Cons Sometimes the publishing of documents can be confusing. Cons It does not display a calendar showing all the meetings. I wish there was a calendar scrolling thu which can show the meetings from the past and future. Also, I wish the agenda is printable. I like that you can switch out a PDF and it builds the book for you without you having to manually go in and organize docs. February 22, 2021 4.0 Pros I love how user-friendly and intuitive the platform is - it was really easy to learn how to navigate OnBoard and utilize all of the tools within the platform. On the admin side, it was also very easy to get everything set up when we implemented OnBoard and I never felt confused or frustrated when getting everything set up in implementation. I think the look and feel of the platform is perfect for this new digital age and overall OnBoard has been a great resource as our new Board portal thus far. Cons There really are no cons with OnBoard. The only thing I will say I wish the platform offered is more functionalities with the customization of the main dashboard. It would be great if we could make the different widgets different sizes, change the fonts, or make pictures bigger that we attach to the widgets just to make the dashboard more aesthetically pleasing. " March 9, 2019 5.0 It has been very positive. When we have questions/issues they are quick to respond. Pros OnBoard provides us with a place to put important documents so all Board members have access to them and we can send out agendas prior to Board meetings with all the reports attached so Board members can be prepared when they arrive. Cons Can't think of anything right now. The only problem we have is when everyone is trying to log on at the same time in a meeting but that is because of our internet - not a reflection on OnBoard. Cons The product is often slow when items and/or meeting texts are edited. The process for this is slow and sometimes doesn't ping exactly where your text is and sometimes you'll find your text at the end of the paragraph, not where you needed it to me. Pros The ease of which I can put together a packet for review. The drag and drop capability when reorganizing the agenda sections. Cons It could use an autosave feature. When I make changes, I sometimes switch focus for a bit and work on something else,, and may forget to save my changes. It would be great to be able to choose autosave so I wouldn't have to remember. OnBoard was the most cost effective and one of the most user friendly. Simple for anyone to use and our Board, with varying levels of technical ability appreciate the ease. In addition, the ability to build out the Board Book simply and print for those who still want to a hard copy was incredibly valuable! I love that I can download the whole book or just the agenda. It has saved so much time in creating our monthly board packets. Pros I love that I can copy last months agenda without having to recreate one each month. And the ease of drag and dropping the documents into the agenda is so handy. Cons I wish the process to have a document approved was a little easier to use. It's a nice feature and I would love to see more functionality such as responding with questions before approving.
