The customer support is very helpful and very quick to respond if we may ever have any questions or issues. Pros You can see what subcontractors have viewed the drawings, what subcontractors have downloaded the drawings and what pages they have downloaded. PlanHub provides a platform for subcontractors to message GC's directly if they have any questions. Subcontractors can upload their bid directly to PlanHub. Cons Instead of having to open up a company's profile to see their contact information, their phone number/email should be listed when sorting through what subcontractors have viewed/downloaded the plans. This is a scam company. I do not recommend Pros It was a good service until they say you are doing a date breach, I would not recommend this company Cons They are thieves and will take your money, they accused us of doing a data breach of login into to their account 8000 times in 20min. and said we are doing this. It's easy to grow your business and connections. Pros The ease of use with allowing General Contractors to post projects out to bid and look for Subcontractors at the same time. Cons The platform does take a while to load sometimes and the note tab opens up instead of just being able to add a note on the page without opening over project. The PlanHub app is not user friendly and needs updating. I have been able to print plans after downloading them for a few perspective jobs recently, but our firm subscribes to another service as well, which is slightly easier to navigate. Pros I like that the emails come in on a regular basis, and the support has been very responsive when I've had an issue. Cons Ninety-five percent of the email/alerts I receive are for products or services that my firm doesn't offer. Estimator Telecommunications Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Good Leads, Some Rough Spots" June 4, 2025 4.0 PlanHub delivers on getting leads, and that core function works well. Some parts of the platform are improving, but others still feel clunky—project filtering, dashboard cleanup, and small usability details could use more attention. It’s a useful tool, but it could be a lot smoother with some refinements. Pros There’s a steady stream of project invites, and the emails usually include enough info to know if it’s worth clicking through. Being able to see who else is bidding—even without a direct invite—is a nice touch. The interface is mostly straightforward once you get used to it, and support has been responsive when I’ve reached out. The document storage is convenient, and the ability to track who’s viewed or downloaded plans adds some useful context. For GCs, I imagine the large subcontractor network is a plus. Overall, it does a decent job of putting opportunities in front of you. Cons Downloads now come with randomized filenames instead of using the project name like they used to. It’s a small change, but it adds an extra step every time—just to make files usable. No real benefit to the user, just more friction. The markup tool is too slow to bother with. There’s no way to bulk-delete or clean up projects you’re not bidding on, so managing your dashboard becomes a repetitive chore. Project invites often miss the mark—I get notified about jobs that have nothing to do with my trade (like wastewater treatment plants). Filters don’t seem to help much. The chat feature isn’t intuitive, and even when I try using it, responses are rare. There’s also too much upselling. A lot of what feels like basic functionality is locked behind add-ons. I don’t need most of it, but at this price, more should be included. And after viewing projects, I started getting cold emails from third-party vendors offering estimating services—which makes it feel like user activity is getting shared around. The renewal process is another pain. You have to cancel weeks in advance, or it auto-renews. They send a reminder, but usually after that deadline has passed. Have been asking for smaller areas for 4 years and still nothing. Pros Information and Tracking. most of the jobs have sufficient detail for us to decide if we want to bid or not. Its easy to use for all my guys, its safe and has very good features like you can send for the same project to multiple GCs, that is a good value. And price is really fair comparing with other platforms. Cons I haven't got there yet to dislike but maybe next year I can give more details and find a dislike as well.
