Owner Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Disgruntled Business Owner" March 24, 2026 1.0 The beginning was good, my team and I followed the recommended way of reaching out to different general contractors. What we found was most of them post their plans to 10 different websites and have no desire to want to actually do any business with the people that are reaching out. After the first few months and going 0/10 on bids with half of them not returning calls or receiving feedback, we began reducing resources spent here. The $1,999 subscription auto renewed even though I had told my rep I had no interest in renewing 4-6 months prior. The emails were buried in spam and fine print, and they refuse to issue refunds. Very disappointed with my experience overall. Pros There were an abundance of opportunities, however must of them are shelled out to hundreds of contractors. Cons The renewal process is awful, they bury their rules in fine print, their emails auto populate to spam and they refuse to issue any refunds. Cons Some jobs get lost in the shuffle and they are tough to search out. Would love to be able to see what jobs won with which GC. March 28, 2026 5.0 I stumbled on this app and I couldn't be more thankful that I did set your range check your email for any job bid you might have missed utilize the dashboard with everything from payment accounts to plans and designs there is actually great value in any of the upgrades so it's definitely worth any money you do spend on it which doesn't have to be much! Pros What is not to like with GitHub they help with estimate creation and send you jobs to bid on. Email reminders it's a huge time saver if you utilize everything in the app that's there for you and star your notifications from them cuz you're going to want to read those overall it's a great app I stumbled on it and couldn't be more happy with it! The layout is clear, intuitive, and user-friendly, making it simple to locate information and move between different sections of the platform. I enjoy the user interface of the website and how it gives lots of information about each project we are bidding. Planhub gives us great opportunities to grow our business. Pros I like how there are lots of different types of projects that need our services. Many opportunities for us to do work for all different types of jobs. We have enjoyed fabricating our aluminum products for hotels, restaurants, multi-family's, and much more. Cons One-way Planhub could improve is by its communication with GC's. Seems to be very up to date on bids. I recently got the early bird upgrade so i can see bids before they are even bids. Pros I like how its way more user friendly and clean compared to other bid sites. I also like that it sends me and all of my team updates. Other sites only send to the main email. Cons I just have an issue seeing the page numbers when i am going through the docs. It doesnt show me what page im on so i cant click through. it is an obvious glitch and i assume it will be fixed. It is possible to review sets of plans and get some exposure and training even on the jobs that you don't bid. Pros Planhub gives easy access to multiple projects in the service area and the takeoff tool works great! New additional features that let you communicate with GCs and suppliers allow better networking and collaboration during the bid process. Cons I think it's problematic to navigate the files of a project when they are uploaded a single page at a time. This is not an issue with the software itself, but it is annoying when it happens. This platform has enabled me to grow my customer base and received multiple new customers. I highly recommend this software, the pricing and customer service are top notch. Cons A little difficult doing searches for certain sub-contractors and some projects are hard to search by name. I like the location of the project on the email so I can decide immediately if I am bidding or not because we only work in Charleston, SC. Pros It's the best of all that I have to work with. It has all GCs bidding and contacts. I like how the prints are displayed and zoom. Cons When I am done looking at a particular section, The arrow is not available to go back so I have to hit X and it goes out completely back to the email invitation and I have to start all over again. Pros I like the ability to bid multiple GC's at the same time with the click of a button. Having Visibility of everyone you are bidding to in one locations makes follow ups easy. I would encourage PlanHub to entertain the thought of color-coding bid invites by specific categories, such as all New Construction be in green, all wood trusses be orange, and so on and so forth. Pros It is far easier to navigate as opposed to other sites. I thoroughly enjoy Planhub far more than the others. Cons It seems with the updated version that offers the feature to send a message directly, I am not able to copy and paste the emails to add to my quote calendar anymore. It has become a useful and handy tool for my estimating and bid production. Pros When you place your bid, they offer the option to send our proposal to all the General Contractors bidding on the project, even those we didn't know were bidding on it.
