Support is good - fairly responsive. Pros Ease of finding opportunities with plans! Direct connection with bidding contractors is excellent too! Cons Job selection is a bit tedious - I like to delete projects that I'm not interested in and since there is no checkbox function (to select multiple listings), it's a tedious, manual process to delete them one by one. A simple checkbox to select multiple projects would be great! Owner Construction Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Planhub Review" June 2, 2025 4.0 Pretty good, the update is nice. Customer service has been helpful when needed. We are based in northeast ohio and stick to that area for servicing. We will travel as far south as akron/canton area but in order to get that area on planhub, it includes Columbus which is too far for us to cover. It gets annyoing sometimes getting flooded with jobs in Columbus area that we arent ever going to do. Some rework of the areas of coverage would be nice. Pros Quantity of projects, easy to navigate the site. The cost for the platform is on par with most other bid sites. Cons When you save a project for review later, the gc's think you have it listed as "bidding" and will call you asking for your bid, but you dont actually have it listed as bidding. Project Executive Construction Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Lead Finder needs improvement" June 2, 2025 4.0 its been okay, aside from not having gotten a project yet. if we were to even get 1 project from this platform, we would be a lot happier. Pros The Lead finder hub. i also enjoyed the subcontractor bid leveling platform. it's nice being able to find and reach out to more subcontractors. Cons The accuracy of contact information in the lead finder. when i called on some of the projects, or sent emails, i often did not get the correct person was not able to get ahold of the individual. PlanHub makes sure that simplicity and functionality go hand in hand, so you can focus on what really matters: getting projects done on time. This is true whether you are an experienced project manager or just starting out. Cons People that use PlanHub have said that finding awarded contracts for general contractors isn't as easy as they would like it to be. Because it's not simple, people may get confused, things may take longer, and they may have to spend more time figuring out how to use the platform. Specifically: • The information about the awarded project isn't easy to find. • It can be hard or confusing to navigate to get to this data. • The layout could not be clear, which could make it hard to immediately see rewarded statuses. Pros the set-up is easy to understand and move around. I can find projects that fit my bidding needs. This is my first estimating job, so this is my first experience with these websites. Planhub and Building Connected are what I use. Pros Ease of posting projects, and using the directory to contact subs. During their operating hours, tech support is on point. Quick to answer questions. Follow through is A+ Cons the way viewing bids are arranged. Clicking on view bid doesn't take me to that bid, it takes me to the page where all bids are listed. Quick to search, download and submit bids right through Plan Hub. Pros It's easy to use, you can narrow down the search area or expand it to better suit your specific needs. Full of opportunities for all trades. I can search projects, download files to see prints and read through any imperative information beforehand. Cons I haven't come across any problem with Plan Hub. Pros Easy to use and I love the that the main screen gives you a synopsis of the job. I also like that it gives you the contact info for the GC's. Cons I would like to be able to delete/trash multiple jobs at once. It usually does not have all that many projects to look at. Your site was primarily focused on contractors and others looking for bidders. You've made changes to allow manufacturers the ability to search and gain insight on projects that they may not have been aware of. Pros We are a manufacturer and use the site to make sure we are not missing projects out to bid. I'm able to track projects that are out to bid that have relevance to my companies product lines. Cons There is no standard by which items are uploaded. I know that this is to make uploading easier. Just makes things a little complicated when some items are viewable on the site and others need to be downloaded in order to view in a pdf viewer. This is my favorite platform to use based off the wide range of sub coverage. I will most definitely take this platform anywhere i go. Pros The navigation is so easy through the dashboard and the sub coverage has been the best out of all the other platforms ive used. And the communication from the planhub team is unmatched. Cons The one thing i dislike about planhub, is the subs that immediately respond with silly proposals that are not needed. Maybe there is a way to separate the surveying or subs that only charge for amount of material and time used? Maybe have a separate page for just material pricing? Customer service has been great and we've easily landed more projects since utilizing PlanHub. Pros Plan Hub is user friendly and provides more information than other platforms. I appreciate the email notifications on new projects and how we can have our prequalification letter on our page. Great customer service as well Cons Pretty much the only thing I don't like about Plan Hub is how there are multiple pages of documents and each page only shows 10 documents to look through and each time you select a document to preview and then go back to the main jobsite page it always takes you back to the first page of documents. Pros all is good, number of projects presented & some specific info as contacts & phone numbers, emails. Cons luck of subcontractor's (concrete & masonry) info that bidding the job for our product, listed all of them that even not related to the scope of our bid. We are bidding subs & web site shows GCs mostly. I am not sure but can't find the bid results. I am still getting invitations for the projects out of our established area. They are truly concerned, courteous, knowledgeable and willing. They don’t rush and will complete the situation. But the product makes even the simplest of takeoffs difficult, slow, cumbersome and worrisome. Pros Being able to give a takeoff condition a complete details so the person doing the pricing can understand exactly what those in the field doing the work will encounter. Cons 1\. The size of the lines as they are drawn and remain! 2. The scroll and draw confusion and difficulty especially with the constant “pop ups” in the way. 3. Download of plans not available at PlanHub but provided by Architect or GC. 4. Having to completely make conditions over and over for something as simple as a height change. 5. Having to do pricing calculations manually. 6. Once again the difficulty of seeing the drawn lines and/or the count designations without swelling a drawn area so large it becomes too difficult to work with. Saves a lot of time on scaling and counting materials. Pros It is a lot faster to do a take-off with PlanHub. I can reach my deadlines by the due date. Definitely worth the money to save a lot of time. It was all new to me to learn the parameters, but I believe I established it. Pros The mile radius option the most because we cover a large radius and alot of software only provide states. It's been very helpful in expanding our reach and obtaining more jobs within the commercial market. Pros You could see all of the GC's bidding on the projects and you could send one estimate that would reach all of the GC to better to your chances. The map view was helpful to easily see what project we within our install radius. Cons It's not easy to navigate the drawings without downloading them. I also dislike that you are limited to 3 attachments and 500 characters when sending estimates.
