Cons The ability to connect to a project that is already listed on the site. Must upload your plans and specifications and select the trades required to bid the project. I have used it to make connections that would otherwise be hard to obtain and we have secured several contracts. We have sent out over a million dollars worth of bids and secured 10% of that back in contracts. Pros PlanHub provides a space to find jobs in one place. I like the fact that I can use this to connect to GC's outside of just providing a bid for a job. Cons It does show jobs that are barely out of your range but access to the information is limited. I have used a couple other sites. And I find Planhub the best. Great support! Easy to use and understand. Pros As a specialty contractor, I love that I can easily find the subcontractor on any project that I choose to bid. Cons Can't think of anything that I don't like. If I was going to change anything. I think I would breakout the Municipal and Industrial projects from the General Construction projects. We have only bid on 2 or 3 projects that match our scopes of work Pros We have been able to reach out to a few new General Contractors and are able to save projects to our own bidboard so everyone that has access are able to review the products and give feedback Cons A lot of the bids we receive have plans that are incomplete or are not provided at all. I have only been using this site for a few months and still have a lot to learn. Pros Able to find upcoming projects for bidding. Able to connect with other GC's that I either have been trying to connect with or one's that I have been wanting to connect with. Cons They typically only have one (1) bidding GC attached to the project. Would like to see a few more added to that particular project to reach out too. Despite setting my radius and my office location, I still get notifications from outside of that circle. When I go to look at those jobs, I have no access to them. Also, I shouldn't have to pay Extra Extra just to see where the contractor is located. Pros Ease of use and access. Plenty of projects and a lot of contractors that we normally don't work with. It is a source for new customers. Cons The 50-mile radius limit is obnoxious given how much you all charge for the subscription. I think that a 100-mile radius would be a lot nicer for the price. Pros Ease at which a bid can be tendered to multiple GCs at one time. However, searching for a project that you have in the system is problematic, at best. The search feature can use a LOT OF WORK to make it user friendly. Cons Some jobs are listed with single sheets, and must be searched one at a time, while some are listed with full sets of plans and specs in one or two windows. Pros The ability to see specific work that directly applies to what my company skillset is. The AI tool has been helpful in saving me time in plan review by simply asking it easy questions, like if the job is prevailing wage or not. Cons Broad categories. However, I do wish more subcontractors were active and responsive across different regions to make the experience more consistent. Pros We received all of our bids through PlanHub for a project we pursued in Arlington, which made the bidding process much more efficient. The platform helped streamline communication, and it was easy to track subcontractor responses in one place. Cons Arlington is the only location out of many we've posted where we’ve consistently received strong feedback and participation from subcontractors. It makes it very easy to connect with different GCs and bid on a variety of projects. Pros The variety of different projects that are posted daily. There are projects ranging from T.I.s to full ground up construction, giving us a lot of options for pursuing projects. Cons The takeoff software. From the sign up to just using the site. Pros It offers areas specific to my work location. It is a simple site to navigate and a lot of contractors I use are on it also. Cons Nothing bad to say as of now. Everything has went well so far. The only issue I have had is only from my email service wanting to send some of the leads to my spam folder. Our proposal close rate has increased 3%. Pros We should have moved from Building Connected tp PlanHub sooner. PH targets the best prospect opportunities for us as storefront glaziers. Stay the course! Cons We've figured out that the add-ons are neccessary for the tool to be 100% functional. The sales representative suggested an add on we should have given it more consideration.
