The customer service is excellent. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been so helpful and always responds quickly when there is an issue or question. Pros Skillsignal is easy to use and was extremely easy to deploy to all our supers in the field as well as our subcontractors. It's an extremely vital resource to have, and makes it easy to check everyone's credentials. It has been especially useful during covid to make sure everyone fills out their questionnaire. Cons The only issues we have had is some subcontractors not wanting to use the software. However Skillsignal has provided work arounds for this subcontractors. Superintendent Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Simplified Life during Covid" May 5, 2023 5.0 It was a great experience Pros The reliability of the support team, user friendly, record tracking. Simplified life allowing workers to complete orientation on their phone rather than the team setting up time or a place to view videos. It notifies the team and worker if someones certificates are about to expire. Reports are easy to keep track of and are printable. Cons Workers having to download application and they sometimes lack service or data. They don't have a turnstile company so it's not as simple to prepare for turnstile use. I wish they were more customizable though. Cons Limited reporting capability. This tool can be useful if there a re more demographics reports. Site Safety Manager Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Easy to implement and use program" December 3, 2021 5.0 Pros This program was purchased by the GC on our job to help track certifications and daily manpower on the jobsite. As a site safety manager, it is very easy to introduce to our workers at orientation and help the foremen ensure compliance by printing QR codes and having them post them in their gang boxes and shanties. This makes it easy for the workers to check-in and out of the site. Cons It is frustrating on the back end to change someone's company designation and have them disappear from the system. Then you have to contact the employee to confirm the change. It should be seamless and allow management to change with without needing to bother the employees. Pros At Newport Painting, we love how SkillSignal easily connects the office staff with our field employees. Our main use for this software, is to keep track of our employees' certifications, given that they are critical within the Construction Business. SkillSignal is very easy to navigate, for all employees inside and outside the office. Setting our profile up was swift, and Skillsignal administrators walk their clients through the setup process, and answer any questions you have. Cons Something that can be improved- sending the administrator an email notification when an employee uploads their certifications and documents. Senior Project Manager Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Construction site use" November 30, 2020 5.0 On the whole, it helped give people a sense of calm in the peak of the Covid-19 for contact tracing purposes. Pros It's easy enough for anyone to use. My construction team, architects, engineers, and clients can use it easily. Cons The biggest issue is with some peoples fear that they are being "tracked". I know it's easy to say they are not, but it is a real fear that they have. I would like to see a way of showing them that they are not being tracked. In tandem to this issue, we needed to then have a paper document to have people, that did not want to use this application, sign for access to the site and contact trace. It would be nice if there were an easier way to add them to the Skill Signal system so we have one location to get the information for the project. Great product if subcontractors sign in and superintendent's use it to it's capabilities. Cons Getting buy in from the subcontractors. Software is only as good as the input you get from others.
