Pros Easily configurable in yaml with a few lines of code. It is an open source tool freely usable with public github repositories. It integrates really well with slack. Cons Its confusing how to disable email notifications in travis. Pros The simplicity of creating pipelines by simply just retrieving code from Github repo and auto pipeline run whenever new code is committed. One of the best part about Travis CI is that the tool sends you emails instantly depicting your build status. This will improve the development experience tenfolds if you don't already use a CI system prior. Pros It's fairly straightforward to get up and running if you've used similar CI platforms. It's got great UI, it's got lots of features, and it's reliable. Travis CI doesn't face a lot of downtime. Cons It may be daunting to setup and configure, there's a lot to Travis, and if you want a very specific configuration, you may end up spending days or weeks getting it right.
