### "Open Source Development"

June 7, 2021

I hardly use Travis anymore.

Pros

I used to like the final release check by Travis.

Cons

Meanwhile, the restrictions are too strong for free open source development work.

### "Travis offers a great Continuous Integration service with minimal config difficulty."

February 6, 2021

5.0

Personal & professional CI for various projects.

Pros

The service uptime is nearly flawless. The Travis CI dashboard is easy to navigate, and the integration with GitHub, all the way down to having the markdown already written for the build pass/fail badge, is seamless.

Cons

The documentation leaves some confusion about exactly how the travis.yml files should be configured for certain situations.

From beginning i liked it, but now nothing works.

Pros

Cons

Last days everything stopped working, it says pip could be install for deploy on github repository and cant clone package from bitbucket repository. Nothing works so i will need to choose some different CI

Reason for choosing Travis CI

### "My Option"

July 7, 2021

3.0

Pros

\- Travis CI keep the whole build history - Have a public API that we can consult. - Easy integration with github

Cons

\- Dependence of GitHub - It GUI is very simple, with few functionalities, we can not search by public projecta, for example - Would be amazing if we could search by period of date in api. /repos/{repository.id}/builds?from=2020-07-07&to=2021-07-07 - Would be amazing if we have integration with other repositories like gitlab, bitbucket or any private git repository. - Would be amazing if we could have all DevOps cycle manager by travis, integration with docker, kubernets, issues, etc, something like gitlab is doing. I think gitlab is a step forward. - API documentation is not good.

### "Great continuous integration for your projects"

February 29, 2020

4.0

Fully featured and easy to set-up continuous integration SAAS.

Pros

Setting up a repository to use Travis CI was very easy, you create an account, connect with Github, generate the .yml file and you're good to go.

Cons

I think the price can be lowered for the private repositories or offer a better deal for young start-ups.

Setting up Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

Pros

Best thing is out of the box integration with GitHub. It's really easy to setup Continuous Integration on your projects.

Cons

It is a bit pricy, especially considering that there are really good open source solutions like Jenkins

### "Travis CI makes it easy to set up CI/CD pipelines with github"

October 5, 2020

5.0

It was a bit challenging getting started with Travis CI because the documentation is too big and hard to follow.

Pros

Easily configurable in yaml with a few lines of code. It is an open source tool freely usable with public github repositories. It integrates really well with slack.

Cons

Its confusing how to disable email notifications in travis. Even when I use the yaml configuration that disables the notification, I still receive the failed build emails

### "Travis is good, when it works!"

July 29, 2021

3.0

Pros

Easy to navigate UI, easy to integrate with GitHub

Cons

TravisCI frequently has episodes where I push commits, but a build is not started. Some times, several days later the build will run, but it's of no use to me days late.

### "Simple, easy to use tool"

July 12, 2021

5.0

I have created pipelines for web apps right from Typescript, to Reactjs since last two years and it has proved extremely helpful and simple to use.

Pros

The simplicity of creating pipelines by simply just retrieving code from Github repo and auto pipeline run whenever new code is committed. One of the best part about Travis CI is that the tool sends you emails instantly depicting your build status.

Cons

A better UI, with dark mode preferably to help developers who work with Dark mode themed IDE, reduce eye strain when immediately switching from dark to light theme.

### "Travis CI is Awesome"

August 3, 2019

4.0

Travis CI is great, it's reliable, it's powerful. This will improve the development experience tenfolds if you don't already use a CI system prior.

Pros

It's fairly straightforward to get up and running if you've used similar CI platforms. It's got great UI, it's got lots of features, and it's reliable. Travis CI doesn't face a lot of downtime.

Cons

It may be daunting to setup and configure, there's a lot to Travis, and if you want a very specific configuration, you may end up spending days or weeks getting it right.

Pros

Travis CI automates the test process and makes test driven development so much more comprehensive and intuitive. Integration with github is unlike anything I have used before

Cons

Travis C.I was a little challenging to use at first because the documentation is not very clear and there is little youtube content to guide new users.

May 23, 2021

4.0

Pros

Travis is very easy to use and saves much time for configuration. IT also easily integrates with github and works great for CI/CD pipelines.

Cons

It has no support for nested virtualization. Travis CI is also not highly extensible and customizable because of its limited plugins.
