Outstanding. Whenever I've had a issue, DesignFiles has been right on top of it. Their customer service chat tab is great and has helped me in times when I needed an immediate answer. Everyone is really helpful and friendly and open to suggestions.

Pros

I love walking into a client's home and showing how interactive DesignFiles can be. It's easy to use, so practical and convenient. I especially like having access to the paint colors. I like the use of the designer clipper. It has helped me create an extensive library from items across the country. I love the webinars!!

Cons

I would like to see more vendor options than the ones provided. Perhaps more upscale like Restoration Hardware, Blu Dot, more lighting, flooring and fabric options, too.

I can't imagine going back to how I did things before. I has so many programs, spreadsheets that it was overwhelming. Design Files simplifies client communication, product management, and invoicing all in one.

Pros

I love the "add to design files" feature. It saves so much time when designing mood and design boards.

Cons

I wish Design Files had an onboarding program for new clients.

Not using a separate mood board creator. Able to send invoices with the processing fee passed to client. Limiting email contact.

Pros

I do like certain things about the software which is why I am still using it. I do think it's pricey for still being somewhat limited.

Cons

It does not have accounting software, when creating a new client/project the initial invitation process is confusing. You cannot embed a code to an exiting website for the new client contact page which would be so beneficial. You cannot create single invoices.

I overall like DesignFiles and love being able to show a completed design board. It does help to present my ideas to my client in a professional manner without having to make a manual board.

Pros

I like the ease of importing items to my library and being able to call up categories (rugs, etc). It's client-friendly - allowing boards to be emailed directly to my clients and having them comment back is very helpful. Also like the shop it page for lower-budget clients.

Cons

There are only two things I don't like about this program. The first is that on almost every board, I have images that "ghost". It doesn't matter where they are sourced from, the client can't see some on the board and have to scroll down to shop it page to see all items. It's the thing that makes me look to other programs to be honest, because it looks unprofessional. The second thing is that even though there is a 3D option which is great, I cannot pull outer edges of an image like a rug to appear correct or say a piece of furniture on the side wall of a board. I know it's not a render software, but if it had this feature I wouldn't have to use other programs to do that.

Great! Saves me time and money and streamlines the entire process. Highly recommend.

Pros

Design Files helps me save time and crate beautiful design boards quickly. The customer service is fast. The design videos are easy to follow.

Cons

I am unhappy that you can't use your products in the 3D section. I created a mood board with my products then I wanted to created a 3D design, however I had to then find similar products in Design Files products folder. This took extra time and was not similiar to my products. This platform can almost do everything, I am surprised it cannot create a 3D design with my products. I looked in the help section and it said Design Files was not able to create 3D designs with your products yet. I hope it is coming soon.

It adds to the professionalism of my business. I am on the same page with my clients as I can add notes or see their comments/approvals. I also love the templates for invoicing, proposals, etc.

Pros

I really like the simplicity of the user interface. It streamlines the design process and adds only features that are useful. I also like the approval process.

Cons

I wish the invoicing software allowed for bank transfer.

Design FIles is great (I'm guessing) for most designiners. Because I do staging and multiple facets of designing, I don't use the billing software. I can't speak to that. The customer support is outstanding. I do wish they offered classes (I would pay for them) like Sketcup does. I just signed up for that because of the functions it has. They offer a 16 course class that so far has been fabulous. While there are tutorials on Design Files, to fully understand it from top to bottom, classes would be more adventagious.

Pros

The ease in learning it is good. The ability to download most anything and create your own library is a great feature.

Cons

The software does not allow for tile patterns and it doesn't allow you the ability to quickly drop- in dimensions and do a rendering to show granite, backsplash, etc..

Cons

One of the drawbacks of DesignFiles is that it needs a long time in terms of starting and in terms of saving, and I hope that work will be done to develop the rate of response speed in the coming days

The customer service is phenomenal, extremely prompt (albeit this is not important to us, it is appreciated!), the ease of use and quick user adoption enables us to really leverage this tool to grow our business.

Pros

DesignFiles is a clean, easy to understand program that helps our business manage multiple complex projects. The seamless workflow from project creation, through design, quoting, invoicing and purchasing has enable us to consolidate the number of tools that we use to operate.

Cons

There's not specific things that we have a concern with, we would love a way to view all open quotes, all open invoices etc from one tab, versus going into the individual projects.

Effeciency and one spot to keep everything. I love how esdy it is to use and also how quickly you guys come back to me when I have a question.

Pros

I love the way the 2D materials board looks so professional when I pull it down into the client presentation. This is the main reason for me using the software, presentation to clients and theese of use with the shopping list for my clients. I'm also just about to launch e-design and the systems questionnaire is brilliant for this.

Cons

I currently use SmartDraw and woudl like to be able to draw floor plans here. I've seen the new software coming but the plans look more basic than what I can achieve in smartdraw so I hope in time this can be improved. I also like the idea of 3D rendes but with the actual pieces for the design, this may come later also. I think the shopping list would be better over less pages, they take up too much room and so it doens't look great. Maybe a table format with at least 6-8 items per page.

Tracking products is the absolute best! It also helps create a very professional presentation for the client!

Pros

Wonderful for tracking product purchases and what you are selling to clients! The client facing design presentation is wonderful!

Cons

I need a more robust task tracker and CRM. I think if it could integrate with Asana and Honeybook, we would be GOLDEN!

Excellent!

Pros

I love that I can do almost everything I need to do in one place, easily share designs with my clients or to my website, and it is user-friendly. With each update and new feature DesignFiles just gets better and I'm excited to be a part of this community!

Cons

I do wish that I could use the product list from my moodboards in the rendering. It does get tough to show the rendering to clients without using the exact items in their design therefore making it harder for them to visualize it in their space. Other than that, I'm just sad I didn't use DesignFiles sooner!

I like it, I'm looking forward to learning more about all the features and continuing to play around with it.

Pros

I love how accessible the team is to answer questions and to find video tutorials. These are critical when beginning as there are so many aspects to take advantage of.

Cons

I wish that there was: -a "history" section to view the last items you clicked to use or try. That way if you are going from one plan to another you can easily access items you've just recently found without having to search again. It would be nice if you change your mind and go back and forth on an item too. I wish that items wouldnt get so cartoonish when you use the distortion tool on them. I wish there was a way to edit or crop out furniture or items in pictures. This would allow me to use this is as my sole program for virtual staging and virtual designs. It would also be nice if the "add to design files" feature would pick up more of the info from a stores site.

Overall I've been super happy with DesignFiles. The customer service has been really great as well. Very user friendly and I love all the educational videos that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] puts out, definitely very well made.

Pros

I love that the mood board and 3D floor plan is so easy to use. I haven't used the invoicing/purchase order aspect yet but I've watched the videos and it seems super easy and convenient.

Cons

The "library" is a bit clunky. I still haven't figured out how to delete and/or edit existing items in my library and it would be nice if I can directly add the items that are already in the system into my library. I also wish there was a boarder option to add different types of boarders instead of having to download a boarder into my library as this tends to pixilate the lines. Also, the cost is quite high at $55/month. I don't think there was a cheaper option if you get an annual membership which would be nice.

The ability to keep most of my client information and products in the one space as well as being able to invoice directly is such a time saver. The presentations are much more professional and digital. Love using this tool and look forward to growing with Design Files in the furture.

Pros

\- love the usability - love the new distort feature - happy with the invoicing directly from website featrure - love the new questionnaire

Cons

\- dont like that the questionnaire isnt editable, the ability to add additional questions would be good - dont like that when my clients are filling out questionnaire and visiting their presentations they are directed to designfiles.co website. My clients can find this confusing. - would like to see the questionnaire be emailed from my address and not info@designfiles - again this can confuse my client as they are expecting it form me

This program will enable me to create professional boards with shopping links to expand my business further than I could've imagined. It also made me realize that I am going to make E-design my primary business because I love that I can help people reimagine their space from the comfort of my home.

Pros

I absolutely love working on Design Files. I am a new E-Designer and this has made me love design even more. I already have 4 clients that I'm working with and this had made it a productive and beautiful experience. I love that I can take their likes and make changes to the board easily. It looks so professional too. I am so excited about my future in design now!

Cons

I hit the ground running so I have to take time to watch the tutorials to understand all of the features.

I chose this product because Audra highly recommended it. I used to use Olioboard a long time ago.

DesignFiles has pushed my business to the next level. When Covid hut, it created a way for me to interface with my clients on a level that I didn't even know I needed. When this pandemic is over, I will still be using DesignFiles to give light to my visions.

Pros

I love that I have a way to give my clients a visual to the vision in my head. I love that I can pull from any knline site or upload pictures from my own to use in creating designs.

Cons

I have yet to fully utilize the 3d aspect since it is not possible to create any image onto the 3d space.

The ease of use for both the designer and end user is great. All of my clients love the software.

Cons

I wish there was some more CRM features (Client emails, contracts, etc.). Ideally, I would love for DesignFiles to be my one stop shop! I don't like having to use multiple software, when I spend most of my time in DesignFiles

It's been great. I would love to make this my only software for Interior Design. The 3D Renderings need to get a little easier and polished a bit.

Pros

I like the way it can be used as a one-stop-shop for connecting with clients, design boards, product review and selection, accounting, follow up. It's very user friendly.

Cons

I wish it was a bit more step oriented and customizable from my end. It would be great to be able to customize Welcome Letters, Follow Up Letters, etc. to clients so that everything is housed in one spot for me. When I'm reached by someone for a service, it would be nice if I could go into Design Files, and start the connection with a Welcome Letter that I can customize. Then once they get my letter they have the choice to 'move forward' by selecting a 'schedule explore call with designer' button to schedule the first call.

We are able to create boards very quickly, search easily, and send presentations to client right from the app. This is huge! Love the ability to turn off pricing and linking, so clients are focused on the products.

Pros

Cons

Took us a while to properly set-up accounts so everyone could see all boards These are more wish list items but would be nice to be able to select multiple images to re-size/delete/move Would like to be able to clip multiple images (colors of something) off a site without having to create a new product each time. The surface area for boards seems very small and we're cramming everything into a small space in the app. We often shrink it down, then re-size it Would love to use delete button as well as trash can to remove items on boards

Overall I am really pleased I have been using the free version for almost a year and just upgraded in the past couple of weeks. The team at DF has been incredibly helpful answering questions and I am already seeing efficiencies in my process as I delve into more of the tools

Pros

The design tools are great - the clipper is the easiest I have used and the moodboards are simple to set up and easy to edit and make look beautiful. My clients always love them. The whole system is intuitive and very easy to use. Customer service has been excellent - very responsive.

Cons

I would love to see more project management and client management type of tools - this is very design focused but like most designers I am trying to streamline my tools so if this had tools like a time tracker, contract set up, platform for client to post stuff, calendar etc it would meet all my needs in one.

My experience has been great. Super customer service and the overall experience has been fantastic.

Pros

The most impactful aspect of Design files is the download ability of vendors items and being able to drop them in the project.

Cons

I like the distortion button but the final look of the 2D design looks squatty and strange.
