I think Blue Mountain really didn't do justice for this software. It's good for what it is, it's not completely useless but it depends on what HOA management company you have and whether they heavily use it or not. Think 90s windows theme that really could be useful to your org but nobody knows how to utilize it to its full potential.

Pros

The concept of the UI itself was very straight forward. You just didn't get access unless you were the admin. But even as an admin you were limited to what you could do. Ultimately that told me that either someone didn't understand permissions or there is a Super Admin and a limited Admin account type.

Cons

It was very generic for what we were looking for and not entirely customizable in the sense that it fits our needs. It's also archaic and could stand to be updated somehow. Other competitors have a much fresher outlook on their UI alone.

Pros

TownSQ is the web site used by our HOA management company, one of the Associa companies. I can think of nothing I like about this web site. I have complained from day one and a few things have changed but the site is still unsay. It is really only good for paying monthly assessments. The biggest complaint the Board fields is TownSQ. I’d venture 75% of our 494 owners don’t use the site because it has so little to offer. The site managers contact info is in a box so small it is not readable. Can’t show contact info the Board, security, or emergencies. Up to date financial data is not available to the Board. The presentation color makes the site hard to read.

Cons

Everything. Presentations poor, no photos, no owner dialogue, not user friendly, non-responsive

Pros

Our HOA uses TownSq to communicate to us. It’s great to have one place to go to learn about our community to include forms for architectural review, By Laws and other important information related to the community. The user interface from the end-users perspective is very easy to identify and use.

There are no cons, I notice, at this time.

My community just started using TownSq and its a great tool to manage HOA payments, requests, as well as, keep up to date on community news/events.

Pros

There is an app for my phone to make it easy to manage my account on the go.

Cons

I haven’t found any negatives to the software.
