AnimalsFirst is revolutionizing the way shelter software works! Most of the software available is very outdated. AnimalsFirst is up to date and so easy to use! Pros Gerald has been amazing with helping us to customize the software to work best for us. Honestly it's the only rescue/shelter software that has allowed us to give input about wants/needs for our animal software. We have used other software companies and were always told "we can't do that" or "thats not something we want to implement". \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has also made this product so easy to use. Our staff love how easy it is! Cons We have not found any cons to using this software. Reasons for choosing AnimalsFirst Ease of use, I did a quick 1 hour training with all employees and that was all that was needed. It is so user friendly and again, being able to customize it to fit our rescue was a HUGE need! The pricing model means we end up paying nothing for the software and make new revenue that goes straight to the dogs! Pros The customization and flexibility of the system allowed us to create a home check process in the software that is specific to our needs. The donation prompt has generated tens of thousands of dollars each year of new revenue to us, and the service fee share has created another source of new revenue. Responsiveness to questions or new feature requests has been much better than I expected. The display of available dogs is accurate to the minute. Automated emails to applicants has drastically cut down email inbox work time. Cons Would be nice to have training materials that we could share with new volunteers and admins to reduce training time. Reasons for choosing AnimalsFirst It was the only one with the flexibility to customize fields around our already established processes and the revenue share meant more money for the rescue.
