Pros The feature that is an absolute game changer for me is the PayPal Key. This is a new way to use PayPal anywhere cards are accepted. Which is VERY convenient for me. Previously, it was inconvenient to have a balance in my Paypal account and not be able to use it because the "website" does not accept PayPal! It is convenient to use the automatic login feature because purchases are then 1-2 clicks away without entering any information. I've heard of this happening with many companies in my industry (coaching and digital products) that do big launch periods with giant sales spikes, but I have structured my company to have consistent weekly sales instead (and I'm still a little guy anyway!) And it has still happened to me twice. PayPal doesn't have very high insurance coverage for non-trackable products like digital and services. The customer support is also kind of slow to respond and usually will not provide you with your desired answer. It's really user-friendly, offers excellent support and community help sections, and has been extremely responsive when I've encountered issues. I also like the lower-than-market cost for processing nonprofit donations. Cons The ability for a donor to pay the processing fees is a feature that would be beneficial to a non-profit. This is possible with other donor software, and it can help small organizations cover costs. Another concern is that some of my potential contributors have decided not to donate because they are dissatisfied with PayPal's social action and would not support utilizing this product. December 8, 2021 5.0 PayPal is a fantastic gateway to allow payments in foreign currencies. As a school, we don't have access to a credit card and so using PayPal has helped us on numerous occassions where payment via simple bank tranfers was not an option. Pros I love the fact that you can accrue money on PayPal without actually linking it to your bank account or a credit card. If you sell services or goods online (say via ebay.com) you can accept payment via PayPal and your credit is added to your account. That way you can have a wallet that is not at all connected to any of your other financial areas. I use one of my PayPal accounts for leisure arcticles: whenever I sell some used goods I don't need anymore, I allow myself to spend whatever I made that way on further leisure articles. That keeps me motivated to keep my house clean and not have it get all cluttered up. Pro tip: If you accrue money in a foreign policy you can even add digital credit cards with foreign currency to your PayPal wallet and use them to pay for things in your currency. I haven't yet come across another free service provider that offers the same service. Cons I can't think of any negative aspect I've come across in the past decade.
