Pros Well, it's quite simple, really. It's dead easy to set up and is easy to use and secure. You can use it to purchase projects and services from almost anywhere in the world. Cons In my experience, there is only one downside to PayPal. This is the number of e-mail scams I get about how my account is being hacked and vulnerable. Thus reduced our loss. Pros Makes our checkout process very user friendly. It is very convenient for our customer who use PayPal. They will just login and all the details are filled. And of course every transaction is backed by PayPal. Cons The new interface design. You need to do a lot of clicks before you can access the search bar. And when you search something, you have to select a category first. If i remember correctly, the old interface allows you to just input the transaction ID and then hit enter. October 10, 2020 5.0 I have used PayPal checkout to make several online purchases within the last few months and have appreciated it. Pros PayPal Checkout is my preferred way of checking out while making purchases online. It can increase the speed at which I shop by saving my contact info, shipping address, and preferred payment method. It can then ensure that the purchase is secure by providing me with an additional receipt from the merchant, keeping track of my order, and offering the options to request a refund or prevent the transfer of funds if I haven't received a product. It is a trusted source. Cons If you do not already have an existing PayPal account, I don't believe you can use this feature. Also, if the merchant does not provide this as an option for checking out on their website or the vendor website they are using to sell their merchandise, then you can't use it there either. It's feature friendly platform is easy to follow and intuitively grows we with your business. Cons If by chance a problem does arise, it's a bit of a hassle getting in touch with customer service. There's a thorough questioning done, which can troubleshoot a lot of common issues, but it's a pain if you just want to get straight to a representative. Pros Offers a trusted way to receive and send payments in a secure way. Provides confidence for customers. Ability to invoice. Cons There are fees associated with receiving payments. Pros Really liked how easy it is to get paypal set up. I didn't have to spend a lot of time having to contact anyone. It's very self serve and I like that. If I had problems the Knowledge Base was very helpful at finding a solution. Cons I made an error on the setup of my business account and accidently selected the wrong country. I had to set up a whole new account to fix the error. That wasn't paypal checkout's fault but it was a nightmare to figure out how to solve the problem. Usually, i use the PayPal Commerce Platform for any payments regarding my business or my personal expenses. Pros I like the ability to attach more than one credit card to my account as it provides me with the option to pay with the card that I choose rather than filling in my card details each time when making a transaction. I like also the deals and offers provided with PayPal and I use it a lot to get discounts in a lot of places. Cons I don't like that I can't change my address or Paypal's country. Pros Paypal Checkout has widespread usage around the internet, so I am able to use it on many of the sites that I shop on without giving them my credit card information. It's very quick, easy, and secure to use. Cons I wish they had an option to pay with visa gift cards. That money is impossible to transfer to your account, or add as a payment method. I wish I had an option to use up gift cards towards online purchases and make up the difference with my Paypal Cash and/or one of my other payment methods. Also, it'd be nice if I was able to split payment between different methods, such as if I wanted to use up all my Paypal Cash and then use my credit card for whatever is left. Currently my only option would be to use my credit card for the whole purchase, and then use a separate transaction later to transfer my Paypal Cash to my bank account to make up for the money I spent on my credit card. Pros It helps that you can use email or phone numbers, as well as having private transactions and it can be helpful with multiple tracking notifications, from the app to email to text message and desktop. It also has good details and allows multiple types of sending and requesting, from cards and bank accounts. Cons It has a learning curve, and now has a lot more promotional pieces like a sponsored credit card, cryptocurrency, and payment plan options.
