I had an issue with a company recently that would not adjust an order, and PayPal refunded immediately. They always alert when a purchase has been made as well. I haven't had to use the protection program yet but I've heard they are very good about protecting from scams. Cons While I don't have personal experience with filing a claim I've heard that in order to be fully protected your PayPal should be linked to a credit card rather than a debit card or directly to a bank account. In my opinion this detail shouldn't matter in order to have the buyer protection but it is worth noting I think. Overall I would recommend PayPal for secure business transactions. Customer service is not responsive as well. If only have other choice for accepting and sending online international payments. Pros The best feature of Paypal for me is it's access internationally, not to mention that it has automatic conversion of currency that makes an ease for customers to use before withdrawing. Cons I think the software has lack of necessary features that are user-friendly. The wallet option most of the times does not recognize local and international cards especially, Virtual cards and Prepaid cards from Mastercard and Visa. I hope they can expand it. Pros Paypal is so easy to use and I like that I can keep my important financial information at the paypal "hub" rather than having to enter it on all the different retail sites I shop at. I feel my money is more protected as well as purchase protection if there is an issue with my order. Cons I have no complaints about using it to pay for a product or service. I have to be careful when I send money that I do not get charged the extra processing fee but if you are sending/receiving from a family or friend it's nice that this fee does not apply. I love that I can be directed to PayPal and pay from my PayPal account then be redirected to the original website. Cons I have not found anything yet that I do not like about this software. Even if the sender of the money calls customer support and verifies the transaction you are still stuck waiting the 7 business days. Cons The platform has different treatments for users from different countries. For me, it undermines its use for users from less-favoured countries and regions.
