### "Manage Engine Patch Management Plus Customer Review"

May 15, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been largely positive, especially for centralized patch management and automation across mixed environments. The product does a very good job of simplifying patch operations by allowing administrators to manage the Windows updates, Linux patching, macOS updates and third-party applications from a single console.

Pros

I liked most about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is the balance between automation, visibility, and cost-effectiveness.

Cons

The UI and reporting feel outdated compared to modern competitors. Linux and macOS patching are not as mature as Windows patching.

Pros

I loved the assistance given. The team is always available to assist It's very easy navigating through the system.

Cons

i don't think there is any, if i should find any grievance i will let the team know. And i think kaspersky upgrade should be part of your patches since most institutions us it .

### "Budget friendly for small estates "

December 23, 2025

2.0

Easy to use - I would recommened it for small sites, with no remote users - as soon as you add any network complexity it gets lost.

Pros

Budget friendly. The management console is simple, easy to navigate, and pulling meaningful reports is a walk in the park.

Cons

Updating remote devices is more than challenging, even using the secure gateway. It is slow, painfully slow - when remote users do come into the office we try to update their devices while they are on site - and using PMP we seldom complete the task.

### "PM+ Just What We Needed"

April 10, 2026

5.0

We have been a customer since December 2025. I have been impressed with PM+ so far, Product is good and pretty robust, support is good. As an Enterprise customer, we are entitled to 4 Health checks a year (if required) one on site and the others remote.

Pros

Firstly, during start up the support received was fantastic and all questions were answered promptly and in a professional manner. The interface is a little bit intimidating at first, but within an hr or so was comfortable navigating the console; with support on hand to respond quickly. Deployment of Agent is comprehensive and with multiple methods of delivery available. PM+, provide many guides which is useful and negates the need to contact support. Setting up APD Policies is logical and straight forward. Deployment of Patches are quick; much quicker than our previous solution. PM+ have managed to capture and deliver many functions to ease the burden of Patch deployment. As part of our subscription (on Premise) we have a variety of tools to use, e.g. Remote Control, WOL, Remote Shutdown/Restart to name but a few. They are serval useful functions and controls within remote control. I also like the way PM+ provide you with a forum with which you can ask for new functions; which they will review and advise if possible. Pm+ is an affordable Patching Solution which; you get a lot of functionality for your ££££

Cons

Like many consoles, there are a few quirks. Certain pages have a refresh where others do not, when searching for devices once you refresh it closes the search box, a minor annoyance. Dynamic Group creation suits our environment, however it not available to all functions within the console; although lesser favourable options are available but require more admin over head.

### "Best Patching software yet"

June 4, 2026

5.0

Very good! I've used other products and I really like them as well. Making the product available in the cloud is a big PLUS.

Pros

One of my favorite is that I can choose to patch any system only at startup based on a time window. This prevents the system from being patched accidentally.

Cons

That there's an easier way for MSSPs to manage multiple clients. For example, having multiple agents with different configurations. I know you can also achieve this by different policies but I'd prefer a dashboard with actual clients vs different locations.

### "Excellent product and well worth the money"

May 12, 2026

5.0

I was about to get about 95% 100% patching on all of systems including servers and workstations. Patches are easy to deploy.

Pros

It is easy to use and it is cheaper than some of the other products we looked at. The customer support is excellent and you are able to get help within minutes.

Cons

There are some quirks with the UI, but I really don't have much to complain about. Sometimes when I decline a patch it does not work.

### "Robust and scalable"

April 21, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been a mix of positives and some challenges: On the positive side, it offers centralized automation, strong third‑party application support, and compliance reporting, which makes patching across diverse environments much easier. However, certain infrastructure components like ESXi and VCSA are not directly supported, requiring manual intervention or OEM involvement, which adds complexity. Overall, it’s a robust and scalable solution, but it works best when paired with clear processes for handling unsupported systems and dependencies.

Pros

It provides centralized and automated patching across diverse environments, reducing manual effort. Its scalability and compliance features ensure consistent security across multiple regions and platforms. It supports both OS and third‑party application patching, giving complete coverage in one solution.

Cons

Here are some of the cons or least‑liked aspects of using ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus: Limited support for certain platforms – Infrastructure components like VMware ESXi and VCSA cannot be patched directly, requiring manual intervention or OEM involvement. Complex dependency handling – Third‑party applications often have dependencies that need additional approvals, which can slow down patch cycles. User interface and reporting limitations – While functional, the dashboards and reports can feel less intuitive compared to other enterprise patching tools. Scalability challenges in large environments – Managing distributed servers across multiple regions sometimes requires extra configuration and monitoring effort.

### "Solid Patch Management Platform with Room to Grow in Transparency and Support Experience"

June 3, 2026

4.0

ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is a capable and relatively easy-to-use patch management solution that delivers solid value, particularly for teams managing distributed endpoint environments. The monitoring console is well-designed, and the core patching workflow is efficient. The responsiveness of customer support is genuinely appreciated. That said, there are meaningful gaps that impact day-to-day operations. The absence of a support ticket portal makes follow-ups unnecessarily difficult to manage. Agent configuration is opaque — better documentation of all tunable parameters would give administrators more control and confidence. The mobile app needs significant stability work before it can be considered fit for use. Overall, the product gets the fundamentals right — but greater transparency, improved configurability, accurate status reporting, and a more structured support experience would elevate it considerably.

Pros

The patching process is straightforward and intuitive. Even in complex environments, the workflow is easy to follow and doesn't require extensive training to get started. The monitoring dashboard and console provide a clear, at-a-glance view of patch compliance across endpoints, making it easy to prioritise actions and stay ahead of vulnerabilities. Customer support staff are helpful and responsive — they understand issues raised and genuinely try to assist.

Cons

Support ticket tracking is poor. All follow-ups happen via email, which gets buried among other correspondence. A dedicated support portal — where users can check ticket status, view resolution steps, and track progress — would make a significant difference. Agent configuration lacks transparency. There is insufficient in-product guidance or documentation on the configurable parameters for the USEMS agent, such as scan schedule, CPU throttling, private key management, remote office connectivity, and other tunable variables. Administrators are left to figure things out with little visibility. No option to adjust the refresh cycle, which limits flexibility for teams with specific operational requirements. Deployment status is inaccurate on timeout failures. When a patch fails with "The wait operation timed out" and the retry count is exhausted, the deployment still shows as "In Progress (failed)" instead of "Failed." This is misleading and makes incident triage harder in production environments. The mobile application is unreliable. Tapping a tab causes the entire app to freeze and become unresponsive, making mobile management effectively unusable. Support explanations lack depth. While agents are helpful, resolutions are sometimes provided without sufficient transparency on the root cause or the steps taken — more detailed explanations would build greater trust and help teams learn.

### "Effective Tool for OS and Third-Party Patch Management"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus Overall, the experience has been positive and it has significantly simplified patch management. The platform helped automate patch deployment and reduced manual intervention for routine updates. Managing OS and third-party application patches from a single console improved operational efficiency. Patch compliance visibility helped track vulnerable systems more effectively. There were occasional challenges with troubleshooting failed deployments and navigating the UI. Despite a few limitations, it offers strong value for organizations looking for a cost-effective patch management solution.

Pros

Pros: What I liked most about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus Centralized dashboard to manage patching across all endpoints from one place Automated patch deployment, scheduling, and approval workflows Supports patching for both operating systems and third-party applications Helps quickly identify missing patches and vulnerable systems Reduces manual effort and improves overall patch compliance Flexible deployment options with minimal user disruption Supports Windows, and Linux environments Easy to deploy and manage for mid-sized organizations

Cons

Cons: What I liked least about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus User interface feels outdated and could be more intuitive Initial setup and policy configuration can take time Patch deployment failures sometimes require manual troubleshooting Reporting and dashboard customization options are limited Support response time can be inconsistent for complex issues Agent performance may occasionally impact endpoint resources Third-party patch catalog could be broader for niche applications

### "Great software at a great price point."

December 15, 2025

5.0

I have been using Patch Manager Plus for about 6 years now and it has been great. Various solutions were tried before but none of them worked nearly as well. We have a lot of EMR servers with dependencies on other servers and each time they are rebooted it has to be in a specific order with plenty of time for SQL and other processes to start before rebooting others. Other patching solutions always messed up the reboot order and it would cause chaos with users as would be unable to log in due to the patch software messing up. Because of this patching had to be done manually and that can be torture on Server 2016, that ended when we found Patch Manager Plus and it has been smooth sailing since. The price is great and it's much more reasonable than other solutions we used. It is easy to set up schedules for rebooting, configuring test groups and schedules for test groups and setting up reports. We use several ManageEngine products in our environment, their customer support has been responsive and very helpful when needed, the documentation is very good and up to date, and updates are released regularly to improve the product.

Pros

The program is easy to install and configure, it's also more intuitive than other software I have used. Very easy to set up schedules, test groups, delays between reboots, and specific rebooting orders. The customer support team has also been very helpful and replies quickly. I don't often engage them as the product documentation has been great but when needed they are helpful.

Cons

Sometimes the reporting gives issues saying that a system is not fully patched but when I go into the report it doesn't list missing patches and when I check the server patches are up to date. Another issue that crops up on some of our older Server 2016 servers is that a patch will not fully install and prolongs reboot times. I do not know if PMP is contributing to this problem but I suspect the main culprit is just the janky Server 2016 patch process.

### "It make it easy to bulk deploy patches to workstations"

January 27, 2026

5.0

Overall it is easy to use. Deployment works well. We were using ESET patch management and we had patches that were not deployable but ManageEngine worked.

Cons

### "Streamlined, Reliable, and Intuitive Patch Management Solution"

May 29, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been excellent. ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has exceeded my expectations, offering a stable and feature-rich platform for automating patch management. It has already helped me close multiple vulnerabilities quickly and efficiently, saving time and reducing manual work. I’m very likely to move forward with a full deployment after the trial ends. It’s a great fit for any IT environment looking to enhance their patch compliance and endpoint security posture.

Pros

The ease of deployment and the intuitive interface stood out immediately. Within minutes, I had my environment scanned and patches classified by severity and type. Scheduling and automation are powerful yet simple to configure. The reporting features are detailed and very useful for audits or compliance. I especially appreciate the broad OS and third-party application support, which allowed me to patch a wide range of systems from a single pane of glass.

Cons

So far, during the trial, I haven't encountered any significant issues. If I had to mention anything, it would be that the initial learning curve for navigating all the policy and deployment settings could be a bit much for new users. However, the documentation and support resources make this manageable.

It simply just works. I can't recall having an issue with the system where I have not been able to perform basic tasks.

Pros

ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is a great tool for getting a centralized view of systems and their current patch status - but to be able to also manage the patches from that interface just makes life easier!

Cons

Pros

Cons

### "Good Patch Management Engine"

November 28, 2025

5.0

Pros

Patch Manager Plus is a centralized, automated patch-management software for enterprises. It lets IT admins manage updates for operating systems and third-party applications from a single console. ManageEngine +2 ManageEngine +2 It supports multiple OS platforms — Windows, macOS, and Linux — which makes it suited to heterogeneous environments with mixed devices. ManageEngine +2 info.manageengine.com +2 Along with OS patches, it supports patches/updates for a wide range of third-party applications (many hundreds) — e.g. popular apps like Adobe, Java, WinRAR etc.

Cons

Some reviews mention agent-related hiccups or slow UI/response times, especially when managing many endpoints, particularly Linux endpoints. SaaSworthy +2 Reddit +2 For very large or complex environments, the patch catalog (especially for third-party apps) may still miss less-common software — it’s strong for mainstream apps but may not cover all niche tools. Reddit +1 If not properly configured (deployment windows, reboot policies, test groups), poorly timed patches can disrupt users — as with any automated patching system. As with any agent-based patching tool: you need to deploy and maintain agent software on endpoints. If some endpoints are unmanaged (e.g. BYOD, unmanaged Linux servers), you may need complementary processes.

### "Flexible patch management"

November 27, 2025

5.0

I think it’s an excellent product because it supports a flexible design philosophy. As for operational impressions, I’ll be able to share more after I’ve had some hands-on experience.

Pros

It excels at automatically detecting the latest patches and keeping systems up to date at all times. The required settings are intuitive and easy to understand, and it can flexibly accommodate even complex requirements. In addition, its health checks highlight vulnerable areas, which improves operational efficiency.

Cons

If I had to point out one drawback, it’s that because it can flexibly handle complex requirements, some settings could feel buried. Once you review them, it’s unlikely you’ll miss anything, but I felt that intuitive, easy-to-understand options and more complex areas are mixed together.

We've been trialling Patch Manager Plus to replace an existing patching solution and overall it appears to be a good solution, that's easy to setup and use, whilst also providing additional simple deployment options (BIOS/drivers updates) when compared to our existing solution.

Pros
