MaintainX is simple and straightforward to use. It has been easy to adjust and allows for metric visibility on machine operation. Working with our techs has been straightforward and customer service is responsive. MaintainX is working to become our hub for managing maintenance and work orders across facilities. It allows each plant to customize and implement while still living within the same framework company wide.

I can think of no other application I have worked with that has generated such huge gains for our organization. The support is outstanding and is something seen less from other applications business with. Their interest in what the customer sees and needs is evident in the way they dig into issues and try to create greater understanding before generating a thought or solution.

Pros

The ability to organize processes related to inspections, preventative repairs, and reactive maintenance of our facilities. The ability to have a record of completed work. The ability to track work and never loose track of a need. I also appreciated the ability to operate with a inventory list with directly connected supply vendors for ordering purposes. The ability to organize inventory, show when parts are used, and track available inventory, keeps us ready for the unexpected.

Cons

I don't have much if any cons about MaintainX. Nearly every question or need I bring up is addressed in some way or they identify it as a possible process improvement with their development team. About the only time I feel constrained by the system is when I create procedures or processes. This portion of the system seems a little less flexible than other components.

Very easy and works well for our needs. Our needs being able to have reactive work orders for immediate attention and regular PM's on equipment and maintaining an asset list with pertinent information.

Pros

The user interface is so easy. Works well on both the computer and cell phone app. Setup was really easy and the initiation team support was very helpful. The software has the ability to make graphs and dashboards very easily. The photo/document upload is super easy. We had very few issues with the transition to the system from our previous work order system.

Cons

We wish that it would notify work order requesters with comments on the status of the work order. It only sends an email with "completed" once done and does not show the comments on the work order to the person who entered it. Unless that person signs into MaintainX as a general user and clicks on the work order they never see what was done. Not sure why it couldn't just send an email back that included the comments since it already sends a "completed" email.

for us it was the easy of use and start up to get the program going for us and then that it had all of our PM's and work orders in one system.

We’ve been using MaintainX for several months to manage our maintenance operations, and the experience has been largely positive. The platform stands out for its clean mobile-first design, which makes it incredibly easy for technicians to create, update, and close out work orders right from the field.

Pros

MaintainX is extremely useful for our field team with its mobile-first usability. Its been simple to set up and the core maintenance workflows like work orders, preventive maintenance has been ideal for our business. I would rate their customer support highly.

Cons

I have found the customization of the forms limiting and the current reporting/dashboards on the basic licensing.

Pros

Provides a framework to organize maintenance activities and eliminate paper records. It is easy to use.

Cons

I have no negative comments. It works well for our needs. Setting schedules and reminders for preventative maintenance activities is very helpful

Could use some better interfaces for end users - specifically around messages. Asana's inbox would be a good model.

Very user friendly with the right hooks to integrate into our software system. We are having trouble launching every person to use this for a couple reasons. A Full license is very expensive, but unfortunately contains many of the features we want many users to use. This restricts us to a smaller group of users that backlogs all the things that need to happen.

Asset management - Availability of the API - Useability and display on an app on a phone - Traceability to three levels of assets - Checklist import tool - Scheduled work orders

Cons

this could be just my lack of familiarity with the process, but I have struggled with uploading large scale work orders or groups of assets. I know this has been offered, but I haven't really known and easy way to sculpt the excel sheet and for whatever reason havent reached out. I do also like the AI import from another document to create checklists, but I am struggling to get it to choose anything but "Pass", "Fail", "check" (the three button one, names fail me). I wish it were easier to coach the AI tool to import another controlled document I have and create exactly the same checklist each time.

While we are relatively new to the software and still learning the full scope of its capabilities, we are very impressed with the tools it offers which will definitely help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our technical teams to complete their duties on a daily basis.

Pros

While the program is very extensive and covers a wide range of maintenance issues we require it is at the same time the interface is very easy for our technicians to learn making its integration into our maintenance department quick and easy. The sales team has also worked closely with us helping us choose the right package for our needs which we see growing as our familiarity with the software improves.

Cons

So far we have no complaints, we are still leaning the full scope of the program but are extremely happy at this point of its integration into our operations.

We are relatively new to MaintainX and so far it has been a gamechanger for keeping better records of repairs and the cost of upkeep to our hundreds of machines. But very soon I plan to incorporate IoT sensors for realtime data and to get into predictive maintenance.

Pros

We have only begun to scratch the surface of what it can do. Right now it is a centralized location to help us organize machine documentation and plan routine maintenance. What I like most is having historical information and customized reports. Ira helped me create a custom dashboard and sent me amazing Loom video instructions to help me get a better understanding of the content. The data helped me justify a large capital expenditure for a new machine.

Cons

The reports and information are only as good as the quality of information that we feed into it. We need people who committed to doing their best to enter complete and accurate information into MaintainX. We will get the most out of MaintainX if we are willing to put in the work.

It's been a great experience, our maintenance team was very appreciative of the ease of using the system. They are able to complete PMs and reactive work orders in a timely manner.

Pros

Great Customer Service and training from the MaintainX team. Ease of use within all the modules. Ability to use both mobile devices and web browsers. The audit trail for all modules help with my data integrity requirements.

Cons

I don't have any complaints at this time.

Pros

MaintainX's ability to customize procedures to cater to the specific needs of our company, while being extremely adaptive to help us comply with the ever-changing regulations in affordable housing, has been an integral part in our success in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation. The user interface is extremely easy to use and is a huge bonus for our staff that are not the most technologically inclined because they find it easy to use. Lastly, the extremely responsive customer service ties the whole product together and makes it one of the best investments our company has made.

Cons

There is not much, if even anything, to dislike about MaintainX. The only thing I would like different is another tier in between the premium and enterprise plans, to satisfy the need for slightly more features without having to pay the much higher price for enterprise when a majority of those features aren't applicable to us.

Good overall. The speed of the online platform is faster than the previous Program that had to be downloaded.

Pros

It is user friendly for the most part. Good interface for user. Easy to export POs.

Cons

On the PO side, the option of not copy and pasting to the Item list is not good. Having to type in each item that is not in inventory is timely. Also the PO number should be larger in size. And be able to list the vendors address and information.

Overall, very positive. It's solved masses of issues for us. I like all of the functionality. It's nice to have work orders, jobs, reports, assets, vendors and parts all on one platform.

Pros

Very easy system to use and get used to. Lots of features, plenty for everyone. Very powerful tool with frequent use. But most importantly, it's well supported.

Cons

Some of the automated features don't seem to be accurate at times. Can be hard to get your head around an issue on the reporting side. Sometimes don't trust the reports. I think the export work orders and data function could be better.

It's been good. My customer contacts have been helpful but not pushy. It was adopted by the team very quickly due to ease of use.

Pros

Ease of use. UI is very easy to understand. Flexibility with reporting and free form fields for notes are helpful also.

Cons

Per user fees. Maybe an enterprise license for unlimited users is an option. With our changing environment, number of users changes (both up and down) quite frequently.

My overall experience is positive, there are some things that I was doing in my old system that was more intuitive or automatic. However, with the consistent release of updates for MaintainX, I am pleased with the overall performance.

Pros

The most useful feature of MaintainX is the auto-generation of work orders after completion.

Cons

Work orders that were duplicating in the same time period was the most frustrating aspect of the system, which has now been resolved.

Organization abilities and helping keep track of everything going on in the facilities. It’s great to be paperless

Cons

Not much, being able to have more decimal points for unit costs would be beneficial. I haven’t come across anything just yet on something that was truly inconvenient
