The overall experience of MaintainX so far has been good. After the techs have become used to using it, it's been great.

Pros

I like how user friendly it is and the helpfulness of the support staff. All problems seem to get dealt with quickly.

Cons

The past 2 months or so there seems to be more and more problems on the mobile app. They've been dealt with quickly, but they seem to keep happening as of recent.

I haven't found anything that I don’t like yet. New employees are quick to learn with very little training.

It has been great. Lots of support and achieving what we want. They also are putting a lot of time into building features.

Pros

Maintainx is a great way to track all assets, customers and history of machine services. We also use it to track Preventative maintenance. It was easy to set up and use it to stay on track. There is also ample customer support.

Cons

The view of the calendar is annoying. Our jobs span over days and the maintainx calendar only show you the start date.

Excellent implementation and ongoing support.

Pros

MaintainX has allowed us to streamline our old paper-based maintenance procedures by creating new digital, dynamic MaintainX procedures. Users can easily complete procedures on a device at the point of use, upload photos and provide accurate, real-time updates on work orders. Procedures are incredibly versatile and customisable and can be used for so much more than just basic maintenance activities. Our dated excel-based asset register has now been replaced with a detailed asset management system that automatically links any Work Order with its associated asset. This provides an accurate history of any work performed for any of our assets and has saved so much time by not having to manually search through records to find the information we're looking for. The meters feature has also now allowed us to track and monitor a wide range of readings accross our assets and facilities, providing real time visibility on equipment performance and the ability to identify negative trends before they results in a breakdown. The MaintainX support team also provide a fantastic service. The live chat and ticketing systems put you in contact with a real person who can guide you through any troubleshooting with the system. We also have a dedicated account manager who catches up with us regularly to keep us up to date on upcoming improvements, supports system integration and answer any other questions we might have.

Cons

MaintainX is a great system and the team are constantly updating it with new features and bug fixes. While its great having such support and an ever evolving system, sometimes it can be difficult to keep on top of all the new updates. Fortunately the new changelog feature now allows you access to a full version history of all changes if you need more detail.

What I like most about MaintainX is its user-friendly interface and how easily it helps track and manage maintenance schedules efficiently.

Cons

What I like least about MaintainX is that I have to fully open each work order to see the assigned team and details. It would be more convenient if all key information could be viewed on one page without needing to scroll or switch views.

We wanted to try MaintainX to automate our work order system. We were still using papers when we have construction workers in two different provinces of Canada. MaintainX made this work quite easily. We now have the information from the job the same day that it was completed. The procedures and work order templates were easy to setup, and the construction workers learned how to use it quickly. This is now something we use every single day.

Pros

The accessibility to use it on the app or the Desktop. The ease of use for everyone with different levels of comfort with technology.

Cons

There's a lot of customization possible with MaintainX, but I won't lie, I wish there were more. I think you can still make it work, like we did.

Pros

MaintainX is an all rounder centralised software that fits well in our company. It is easy to use and helps with document control.

Cons

Can’t schedule work in efficiently have to use secondary software. The exisiting calendar on the website is hard to manage.

What I like best about MaintainX is its intuitive work order management, which makes tracking tasks seamless, along with its robust preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling that keeps operations running smoothly. It has been a good experience working with Maintain X. There are some procedures that should occur on every weekday that don't appear to do so, so I need to get that one solved.

Pros

It appears easy to set up the work orders, procedures and assets. I especially like how easy it is to set these things up as they are key to managing assets and maintenance works.

Cons

The output of the table format when downloaded is a bit confusing. You have to reformat and alter the columns to show the information that you need to see.

Generally responsive and helpful. When we needed a software engineer to talk to the IT people at the EPA it took a while but it did happen.

Pros

Complete fairly easy to learn, its taken some editing and changes but nothing we haven't been able to do on our own

Cons

a bit more complicated to set up than I thought. You need to expedite getting FedRamp approval it would have made this whole process much better

I can think of no other application I have worked with that has generated such huge gains for our organization. The support is outstanding and is something seen less from other applications business with. Their interest in what the customer sees and needs is evident in the way they dig into issues and try to create greater understanding before generating a thought or solution.

Pros

The ability to organize processes related to inspections, preventative repairs, and reactive maintenance of our facilities. The ability to have a record of completed work. The ability to track work and never loose track of a need. I also appreciated the ability to operate with a inventory list with directly connected supply vendors for ordering purposes. The ability to organize inventory, show when parts are used, and track available inventory, keeps us ready for the unexpected.

Cons

I don't have much if any cons about MaintainX. Nearly every question or need I bring up is addressed in some way or they identify it as a possible process improvement with their development team. About the only time I feel constrained by the system is when I create procedures or processes. This portion of the system seems a little less flexible than other components.

Asset most Manufacturers and model numbers are in the system and makes it easier to enter data and track as well. Work order management is easy as well.

Cons

MaintainX lacks robust invoice-tracking capabilities. Other platforms allow vendors to upload invoices directly for review, approval, and dispute resolution, which streamlines the workflow.

We recently upgraded from an ancient software platform to MaintainX after careful consideration and I am floored at how good of a platform it is and how helpful the support team is.

Our experience so far has been great. Their onboarding team did an excellent job at making sure we went live with as little stress as possible. MaintainX has really streamlined our maintenance system and helped fix a glaring hole that we had in our business.

Pros

The thing I like most about MaintainX is the ease of use for our technicians. Our old system was so outdated and complicated. With MaintainX, we simply had them download the app on their cellphones and they're able to access their work orders from anywhere.

Cons

The thing I think needs the most improvement is probably the reporting feature. The reporting itself gives you a ton of data to pull from, but you have to kind of manipulate it to get specific bits of information.

MaintainX is simple and straightforward to use. It has been easy to adjust and allows for metric visibility on machine operation. Working with our techs has been straightforward and customer service is responsive. MaintainX is working to become our hub for managing maintenance and work orders across facilities. It allows each plant to customize and implement while still living within the same framework company wide.

Very easy and works well for our needs. Our needs being able to have reactive work orders for immediate attention and regular PM's on equipment and maintaining an asset list with pertinent information.

Pros

The user interface is so easy. Works well on both the computer and cell phone app. Setup was really easy and the initiation team support was very helpful. The software has the ability to make graphs and dashboards very easily. The photo/document upload is super easy. We had very few issues with the transition to the system from our previous work order system.

Cons

We wish that it would notify work order requesters with comments on the status of the work order. It only sends an email with "completed" once done and does not show the comments on the work order to the person who entered it. Unless that person signs into MaintainX as a general user and clicks on the work order they never see what was done. Not sure why it couldn't just send an email back that included the comments since it already sends a "completed" email.

Cons

One of our uses of the platform is to account for field inventories and 1000's of assets using RFID. Having a better integration or imbedded capability would be helpful.

The platform stands out for its clean mobile-first design, which makes it incredibly easy for technicians to create, update, and close out work orders right from the field.

Pros

MaintainX is extremely useful for our field team with its mobile-first usability. Its been simple to set up and the core maintenance workflows like work orders, preventive maintenance has been ideal for our business. I would rate their customer support highly.

I have found the customization of the forms limiting and the current reporting/dashboards on the basic licensing.

Provides a framework to organize maintenance activities and eliminate paper records. It is easy to use.
