So I can manage my house or ranch of laser in the distance. From my couch I can connect and monitor various parameters. I can quickly do the things I want. I hope they still create some communication protocols especially modbus and can. Pros I use Blink because it is intuitive software and solves my problem. I needed an app to display information from my automation system. How to program is not my beach, this app served to quickly build an application that shows beautiful graphics and information. Monitoring all lights, water tank level, sun panel energy consumed and a lot more. Everything to be controlled and monitored in my cell phone. Have had some help from the forum community but it's been a pleasure to play with Blynk. Pros The software is so simple to set up, can be installed within the cloud server or you can host it on your own server. Hookit up on your mobile or your iPad and you have total control over the IoT products you want to monitor and/or control. The community around Blynk is great, a lot of die hard forum members always helping out the new members. Plus a lot of how to do it videos and manuals on the web.. Cons There is none, really. The free version will be enough for small projects and if one buy tokens they can be re-used for another project if you want to start all over or do something different. It's cheap to buy tokens for the cloud hosted version, if you host on an own server the tokens are free. Review Source OS Oliver S. Pros It is very easy to use the software and takes hardly 5 min to make the app and all the other stuff including the code uploading to arduino or esp8266. Cons Debugging server connections are obviously out of your control, so it may be difficult to establish where connections issues lay, if they come up.
