They have been great. Stability has gotten way better than the earlier years with very few outages and limiting outages to a very short time period.

Pros

They listen to their customers and make changes/design modules accordingly. When there is an issue with your account, they are responding to tickets fast and solving issues in a reasonable amount of time.

Cons

It can be very overwhelming at first when you are faced with the implementation of all the modules. They do a good job of breaking it all down but some of the more complex modules like the schedule can be daunting.

Very positive. The program is truly built for the fire service. I have implemented this in two different departments with great success. A great group of people to work many of which have real world experience.

Pros

The all in one platform that is designed for the fire service. The system allows you to almost 100% customize to your departments operation and allows you to move to one central platform for almost everything.

Cons

As much as the system is modifiable, release updates are either slow to happen or are released with no explanation of the impact on other parts of the program.

Positive. The staff is responsive, helpful, and friendly. The system integrates well with all of our devices and CAD.

Pros

The responsiveness to requests. The system is very customizable, but there is a steep learning curve to the process. I have had about 75% of my requests for changes or custom reports fulfilled. The other 25% is a result of the system being unable to accommodate. I do, however, have two things to note. The Assets module is outstanding. Inventory control has never been easier.

Cons

It fills the cache on computers, causing the First Due web page to lag. To resolve this issue, simply restart your browser. Once I figured that out, things have improved, but it's still an inconvenience.

From implementation to ongoing support, First Due has proven to be customer-focused. They take feedback to heart and listen when customers find a product gap. The customer success program in which you meet with your customer success manager on an ongoing basis to ensure the product continues to meet your needs and provide a direct line to escalated support if necessary shows the company's dedicated to ongoing success and satisfaction. As they continue to work on building modules that communicate with each other and meet the needs of the developing trends in the fire service, the First Due platform becomes more advanced every day.

Pros

I manage 16 departments and they all utilize First Due in slightly different ways. Overall, the biggest compliant given about the First Due platform is that it's a one-stop shop for all the things they need to document on a daily basis. From an administrative perspective, the best part about First Due is their willingness to listen to their customer base. They have an ideas platform where users can submit product enhancement requests. Other users can view those and up-vote their favorites - and First Due actually listens and implements these ideas!

Cons

First Due is still working on their cross-module consistency and compatibility. In the two years we have been with First Due, this has improved immensely but there is still room for growth. Additionally, First Due has a deficit in report writing for the advanced user and in the ability to create custom forms for things like a printed incident report, investigation report, inspection report, etc. The form designer inherent to the system is not intuitive and lacks the ability to do much more than customize the logo header at the top of the page.

From the very first demo, the team was able to show how the system could do what I asked, there were no empty promises of "let me see", they knew the system and how it could already meet my needs. After implementation the follow up on everything has been great

Pros

Customer Service has been top notch, nearly everyone has fire experience and understands the needs of a fire dept and can communicate on a firefighter level.

Cons

I really have no complaints, the implementation process went smooth for such a large project, the follow up on everything has been addressed timely

Pleased. But I believe First Due has a lot of room to grow. I have seen a lot of change for the positive over the past two years. However, more is needed.

Pros

The ability to adjust to your department. Additionally, their willingness to work through issues and aid you in design.

Cons

The flow of the EMS reports. When compared to ESO, it does not match up. Additionally, how the warning errors are presented.

Regarding my con and the constant change, I don't hate the change, more so the communication. It is great to see the tools evolve, become more robust, and the backend talk better to each other.

Pros

I love that I can do most things in one system. We have been able to eliminate 2 systems, and hopefully one more soon.

Cons

Improvements often seem to generate extra steps or are very undercommunicated. Entering date/time on apparatus is now painfully slow vs something I can do in my sleep. Things change before the release notes come out. When that effects the user experience, my phone usually rings before I know about it.
